The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim |OT2| Team Edward's Revenge

I decided to just go to the main cities when the main plot takes me through there. Then, once I'm there I'll do any big named side quests.

I'm saving the thieves guild and Brotherhood stuff for my second, more evil, character.

i've been begging for over 5 years.
I feel like I have a decently fast internet service but this page with GenX post is loading like dial-up porn. Christ Man.

Gen X I'm not sure how you made those screens or where you uploaded them but I'm pretty sure I haven't loaded pics that slow since I first had a connection slower than 56k. You really might want to consider uploading them to another host or changes the file types.

Yeah, seriously. And resize those things while you're at it.

I've tried about 3 sites so far (Hence my 'edit comment'). Tiny Pic is banned here, flikr won't let me sign in after I sign up and this one I used I didn't realise they were that slow. I chose the 75% resize option but for some reason they seem to be loading full size. Trying to find a site that doesn't gimp on compression. Some ideas please guys? =)

Rebel scum.

I got attacked by a Khajiit that passed by riding a horse. The horse didn't have a saddle and the Khajiit (it was literally an NPC named "Khajiit") was clad in Elven Armor. I saw them approaching and figured they'd be friendly, so I waited for them, to see if they'd pass to Morrowind.

As soon as the Khajiit notices me it goes hostile. Furry son of a bitch.
That's one thing I don't like about the game. Pretty much everything and everyone outside the towns wants to kill you.

Wolves that should have an instinct and know better? They just attack.

And then there are the "evil" NPC near the towers and forts. Jesus Christ, why are you attacking me? You burned all those citizen and guards down? Fine! I don't care! Just let me pass by and I'll come back and kill you later, if a quest requires it or when I'm bored.

But ohhh, noo! They just throw a damn ice spike at me. And then they act all surprised and beg for their lives, when I'm about to burn them and their entire group down.

God damn fools ...

I once fought a guy simply named "redguard" in the woods. I was about to decapitate him but my game crashed. When I went back there he was gone and I fought a spider instead, how disappointing.

I just use Imgur, Abload or Minus. I never notice that compression people seem to be shitting on Imgur for.

You know, I think it's actually a lot better than it was on Oblivion, and I don't really have any problems with it. I only encounter Wolves in groups of two or more and near their lairs, which is a lot more realistic than coming upon a random wolf scattered in the wildernis. Bandits attacking me just seems normal: they're goddamn bandits, after all. Bears won't come after you unless you get too close, nor will Giants or Mammoths. And I love how there's bunnies and foxes just running around, even though they occasionally appear in places they really shouldn't be. :lol

Having Frostbite spiders out in the wild is kinda lame, though. I have no idea what they're doing there.

I have a question. Earlier in the first thread, there was some pictures and talk of people finding this creepy house in the middle of a forest. I want to go to there. Where is it, roughly?

Azura's Star and the Black star are unlimited use. Hence the appeal behind them.

They are also weightless.

You know what I want for DLC? Dragon cam.

After you take out a dragon you get a replay of the entire even but from the POV of the dragon. I want to see the view of a dragon circling and then spying what seems like a tasty treat, only to be diced into tiny cubes at the hands of my duel-weilding, daerdra-armored Redgaurd.

so like does this game have an ending

like fallouts, where it gives you an ending sequence and you see what affect your choices had

cos i think i just finished the main quest and... nothing happened.

If they put dragon weapons in the DLC I will be ecstatic.

Is it sad I have over 100k gold, and I am contemplating buying second house to store all my shit in?

Cheers, I tried Imgur earlier but didn't realise I needed to sign up in terms of hotlinking. So let's try this again. *crosses fingers*

Might wanna make those images into smaller ones. Just add 'l' after the filename but before the '.jpeg' in your URL. Then you can make 'em hotlink to the full-size images.

It's a lot neater, imo.

Yeah, that irked me too. The game has no real ending or closure to speak of.

Better to die with your freedom than live as a slave.

Choose your slavemaster: the Empire or the Dominion. Accept Empire rule now or Dominion rule later. That's why any sane person would side with the Imperials and realize that the Stormcloak Rebellion is a naive flash in the pan.

Destroying Talos worship hurts humanity and helps the Thalmor further their goals as much as anything else.

Then worship Talos for a few more decades. The Dominion will be on your doorstep to re-educate you before long. These fuckers really have no way to lose, they're the ultimate masters of this whole game's scenario. Strengthening the Empire enough to resist their influence is the most anyone can do to stop them.

I really think the next Elder Scrolls is going to do something big with the Thalmor/Aldmeri dominion plot. Has great potential.

Right, now I'm going to tell you a little story. I tried earlier without much success due to image hosting. Here goes.

No spoilers, but about 10 images and a little scenario. It's about a 1/4 of a dungeon that is not part of any major quest. Scroll past if you think you haven't seen it (from the first few pics) and want to be
surprised yourself. To be honest my companion died after the last screenshot so I quit and therefor haven't seen how this unfolds myself.

This is a snippet of my journey of Ihapitie, a level 26 Wood Elf. She specializes in sneak, lock picking, the odd bit of trouser groping and archery. As Ihapitie sneaks down the corridor she
come face to face with a troll from out of nowhere.

Gfrqa.jpg

She soon makes short work of him as she draws arrow after arrow from her quiver. She reclaims her arrows from the crumpled body and loots a few potions as well for good measure.
Moving on with her companion she approaches a split level room.

60yp6.jpg

The sound of the water dripping from the ceiling is soon broken by the clicking sound of a few Chaurus' in the water below. She drops down without assessing the situation and is suddenly
surround by not two, not three but four Chaurus'. Shes drawing arrow after arrow, strafing and shooting. Critical hit, but there are still three to deal with.
She leaps onto an egg sack
and immediately spins around 180 degree. She's heard the tales of the Matrix passed down through generations, her body is ready. She fires what seems like her 30th arrow. Another Chaurus drops,
one after the other. Finally, as the sweat drips from her chin, she stands victorious.

TzKhh.jpg

As she recovers her Orcish Arrows from the carcass and the dozens floating in the water she recollects herself. "That was a bit....... unnerving" says Lydia. "Hmmmph" replies Ihapitie, unimpressed by
her impulsive actions. "This way" she says, gestering towards the corridor ahead. The water carries on, her boots of sneaking aren't much use in this environment and hopes for dry ground soon.
That expectation disappears quite quickly when she enters a larger cavern where the water is much deeper.

3Orl2.jpg

She treads carefully, maneuvering around the edge of the cavern, slowly, trying not to cause too many ripples in her wake. The water gets darker towards the center of the room. Already waist height
Ihapities senses are now more alert than ever.

Iqu0F.jpg

As the pair reach the other side of the room, they move up the slight path on the left. Looking over her shoulder she thinks to herself that next time she just might not be so lucky.

qoQws.jpg

The pair move up and the further up they move, the narrower the walls get. They take a tight left, then almost an immediate right. "I've got a bad feeling about this" says Lydia. Ihapitie places her finger
over her harsh lips, blistering from the cold. "Shhhhhhhh".
They edge ahead slowly, Ihapitie leading,
drawing her bow expecting any second for a Chauru to emerge from any one of the egg sacks. With no room to move in the event of an attack, Ihapitie will be caught between a friend at the rear and a foe
in the front. How many could pop out is anyones guess.

uprOq.jpg

The corridor feels like a mile but the end is in sight. Still aware of the egg sacks behind her, the thought crosses both their minds that they could be both surrounded at any given second. Edging forward the
pathway widens. Lydia leans forward and whispers "I've never seen anything like this". 'Neither have I' thought Ihapitie. There in the water below were atleast three Chaurus.

3JeUV.jpg

One draw of her bow and a deep breath Ihapitie focuses. The string cuts into her fingers, she knows shes got to make this one count. Almost like in slow motion she can feel the string slide off the tips and she
fires that arrow with pinpoint accuracy. 3x Critical damage right in the head of the furtherest creature. They're alerted and start scampering to the far side of the room and quickly dart to the right out of sight.
Thinking that this game of cat and mouse could end badly Ihapitie remembers what happened last time when she made a stupid leap of faith. Sure enough, two of the ugliest come back. Without hesitation
she draws another bow, and another and as soon as one drops another appears.

NxnJf.jpg

They don't stop. With four dead the fifth skittles back to the right behind cover. For a second they think they're safe, maybe the Chaurus have fled the room. And then the unexpected happens. The mother returns,
towering at over 15 times the size this behemoth creature emerges with her front claws in the air. The first arrow is fired. It pierces through the plates of armour on her neck, dark green blood exploding everywhere.
But wait, that's not from the arrow, it's an incoming projectile!

b5l67.jpg

Is this the end for the Wood Elf and her companion? Is this Chaurus Reaper the Queen or is there a larger creature waiting for them? Have they stumbled into a massive nest frozen for centuries?
Well you'll have to find out if you venture into this dungeon.

Hammerfell by itself drove out the Aldmeri, there's nothing preordained about a Dominion victory.

I rerolled just to do this. Thought it would be fun to make an elf-hating, nationalist rebel. Those random Thalmor on "official business" do not get treated kindly.

How many of the dual casting perks are worth it?

I know Destruction is, because of the stagger perk. What about the others?

That's the quest in the

right? It has a nice ending, assuming you've been reading the journals and know what to do with what the Chaurus Reaper drops.

Hm, having real trouble finding the final Dragon Priest (called Morokei). I've read that he's in Labyrinthian, but I can't find out how to reach him?

I cleared out Lost Valkygg, but he wasn't in there. I also found this trapdoor by glitch jumping up a mountain, but inside the door is barred.

So, anyone know how to reach the Dragon Priest Morokei? He's got the last mask I need!

Final? Crap he was my first one.

Yeah, but I was pleading ignorant as I didn't want to spoil it for people who stumble on it by mistake.

Really hate those Charrus enemies. Insects just get to me in a bad way. Maybe I'm not cut out for Skyrim :lol

Can't wait to be able to mod them out (and all the spiders).

Edit: Chaurus*

Charus Reapers are vicious. I saw one take down three horkers before coming after me. I was able to be beat, but my companion almost died.

They're the toughest normal enemy i've come across thus far.

A better pro tip, Destruction magic is weak, and you are probably better off investing in Archery if you want ranged damage.

Same. I turned into a werewolf to take one on. And oddly, I usually die a lot faster when I'm a werewolf, but that time I was victorious.

Sorry if posted already, but has anyone seen this yet?

Morrowind isn’t the only province that has been made in Skyrim. As far as I know the majority of them are there. I’ve only been able to get access to Morrowind, and Cyrodiil since my game loads them slowly, and I don’t have the patience.

Just past the mountains of Morrowind, you’ll find the Cyrodiil landmass. As well as White Gold tower, located in the middle of the Imperial City.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. So awesome.

Exactly, and the more provinces that fight the Thalmor, the more successful the campaigns will be. If Hammerfell can hold out and force a ceasefire with territorial boundaries, Skyrim sure as hell can do the same. Especially since I'm the goddam Dovahkin.

How do I join the imperials? I'm ready to begin that.

I'm leaning toward the storm cloaks myself. Freedom to rule yourselves and all that.... However can anyone tell me what happens once I pick a side? Will I no longer be able to travel to certain towns or areas? Or engage in certain quests or guilds or talk to certain people? And if so is it indefinite?

Are there any real drawbacks to becoming a werewolf? I'm guessing that
I have to become one to finish out the Companion quests.....right?
