Yea, at first I thought it was cool/funny that my horse will fight people. But now, I only want it to do it if it's getting attacked as is. It kinda gets annoying when it charges dudes. Because I'll end up accidentally hitting it.

And the next thing you know is that you're killed by your horse.

I just entered a cave where a lesser soul gem was practicing shooting ice shards at a pillar. As soon as I got close, it just fell off it's pedestal and layed there. Weird.

I love the soul gem traps, and wish there was more of them. In fact, that's a thing I could do with - even more trap variety. They're really great but after going through about 30 dungeons they get a little grindy.

I don't understand why the horses are as badly done as in Oblivion. Bethesda should've looked at Red Dead Redemption horses and made Skyrim's horse similar. Good controls, fast, mounted combat, whistle to call them back. And generally the horses should not take part in a fight and should have 2x more health.

Yeah definitely agree with all of that. Thats why I wish we could have mods on consoles.... not necessarily for the nutty shit like like turning all Mammoths into T-Rex's or something (although obviously heaps of that shit is cool as), but just for simple tweaks like horse stuff you mentioned and other minor minor adjustments that add subtle gameplay elements that improve the experience.

Not sure if it's a bug or not but I just finished killing like my 25th dragon and as always I collected all the bones before its body grew completely limp but this time I used the X button to take all instead of spamming the A button like I usually do. The thing is... the body never burned up leaving me with no dragon soul. Is this a bug?

I'm gonna reload my last save and play it again to see but I'd appreciate any insight.

EDIT:
I've just tried killing it 5 times in different ways (with shouts, arrows, melee, etc... all without harvesting loot) but no success. This is a white and dark blue(?) frost dragon that drops three bones, three scales and over 300 gold. I've killed dragons before with similar specs but I think the color is new (to my play).

Found a real answer to the Markarth glitch:

-Get a real bounty amount first, doesn't matter how much.
-Run to the Shrine of Talos. You can bypass the other guards by asking them to take you to jail, then dipping out of the conversation and bolting.
-Get conversation aggro'd by a guard in the Shrine of Talos. The other guards might be attacking you during this.
-Ask them to take you to jail, you'll have a new dialogue option: "..."
-Follow that dialogue tree.
-Get convo-aggro'd by them again, pay your bounty. You'll spawn in the city minus stolen goods, and the glitch is fixed. Seems like the guards themselves inside the Shrine are the ones causing it.

EDIT:

Why aren't any women hitting on me >_>? The only responses to the Amulet of Mara I've found are dudes. I married Marcurio, just to find out he won't be a follower anymore. Reloaded, keeping a long engagement with him, I guess.

What really pisses me off with the Markath conspiracy quest is that those guys are going to be in the Temple of Talos for the rest of time. I went in there 'cos I saw a guard just RUN in there, spoke to two guards in there who made generic comments, poked around a bit, and as I was leaving the dialogue-triggering guard came down and was a huge douche.

Thing is, I already completed the quest the 'right' way. They were just still there for some reason.

Ugh. I was in the middle of fighting a dragon in Winterhold and a fugitive comes up and gives me a sword and runs off which encumbered me. Thanks arsehole!

Is there any point holding on to it? Can I give it to someone else or is there a quest relating to it?

Are Destruction Spells really that bad? I was going to make a pure mage like the main character in Bastard!! in my next run through... =/

That happened to me in a random bandit camp so I followed him to find him hiding from a hunter who he stole it from. You can choose what to do next.

Fuck no. You just can't make them absurdly broken because they don't have as many elements in the Smithing -> Alchemy -> Enchanting chain to abuse.

Markath quest wasn't bugged for me but it was scripted very poor.

I thought it was a bug at first but it wasn't. The quest was hilarious as a result because I was trying to debug what was not bugged but it worked out in the end.

I mean what a mage does when somebody attacks him bare-handed? Right, he sends a firebolt right into the opponent's face.

I haven't figured out that I had to fight the dude with my fists, so I killed him, killed all guards in town, then I killed the mage and tried to kill the jarl but the jarl (or whatever his title was) was immortal so I thought that I might be doing something wrong, lol

It worked!! Thank you so much!! I guess I won't have to beat up my bro after all. He owes his life to you. Thanks again amigo!

It's good to see it worked. I think it worked out that way because god mode simply prevents you from taking damage, so it doesn't help you if you are already dead, but immortal mode makes it so you don't die even with 0 health.

Heh, the moral dilemma's this game presents to an anti-Thalmor Imperial supporter are pretty cool, if probably inadverted. :lol

Just came across a group of Thalmor escorting a captive Nord. They were going to "interrogate" him, so I killed 'em. I freed the captive, and the first thing he says is "The first Imperial I see is DEAD".

I didn't give him the chance.

I also went to Morthal and did the quest there. I was wondering if Alva was marriage material.
I thought she would be just a vampire thrall, not an actual vampire. I encountered her in the vampire lair, but she was non-hostile, so I left her be. That caused the "cleared"-marker on the dungeon to bug out and not appear even after she left.
Afterwards, I
snuck into her house and found her just climbing out of her coffin, immediately hostile. I chopped her bloodthirsty head off.

To be fair, even without the loop it's godlike. I have no Alchemy perks and it's only at like 50-60. Made an alchemy/smithing set (same set, dual enchant), then created enchant and smithing potions. Used those potions and gear to make my battle gear with enchants.

I want to get the most out of this game. I know there's thieves guild, Dark Brotherhood, and Companions. Can everyone tell me the other groups that I can join?

Besides what you mentioned, there's:

Stormcloaks or Imperial Legion
College of Winterhold

There's also the Bard's College, but that's not a real faction. They only give you one proper quest.

LOL! Same thing happened to me except I parted ways with the douche prisoner with his head still intact :/ ...I was tempted though. Man I hate the Thalmar. Apparently so those everyone else. I murdered the three Thalmars in front of Whiterun soliders and no bounty.
I was walking through the city later and one of the guards commented about the Thalmar slayings and said that I sure knew how to pick my enemies.

Yeah but people still whine because to do like 300+ damage per cast (which can require zero mana with enchants) that also staggers just about anything (including dragons) at range requires consuming a potion, which is, like, totally unfair, man.

Life is tuff for mages. Tonka tuff.

Nobody likes the goddamn Thalmor.

A Morthal guard told meI "was that College fellow", and that he'd heard about me. I used a Shout in front of his face. I'm no "College fellow", I'm the goddamn Dovahkiin.

Nah, just tiresome newbies who expect to one-shot everything on Master on top of having zero-cost spells and unlimited stunlock on every opponent.

OK so I'm not crazy :D I always felt people aren't showing me the respect the dragonborn deserves. I swear to god so many NPCs will die after I'm done with all the DLCs. There will be a reckoning!

I don't get how to marry someone. I spoke to the guy about marriage in Riften, I'm wearing the amulet but when I speak to an NPC that you can marry, nothing happens, no new dialog or anything. What am I missing?

Mines that I stripped 80 hours ago are still depleted so I'm guessing no but I can't say for sure. I bet you want to spam the Ebony mine don't you ;)

Yeah, came across it by accident, then I remembered: "OMG, this is the mine everyone has been talking about!". Just finished mining, there are like 40 ores down there.

Does clearing one's system cache get rid of the patches because I did so in hopes that it would fix my souless dragon issue and I then restarted my xbox. When I started up Skyrim again, it asked me to update.

Anyways... that didn't work. I decided to go back to a previous save where I haven't worn-down the dragon and then I'll run away and try to pick a fight with another dragon and see if the same thing happens. I hope my game didn't just break ;_;

It's a pretty common bug, it may happen again but it won't have broken all the dragons or anything. Seems to only have a chance to affect random spawn dragons.

I believe you can only marry select characters. When I first attempted it seemed so hard for me to get female proposals that I was convinced the game thought my character was Gay because I got three male proposals :3

Oh thank Thalos! It's a bit more heartening to know that it's not some isolated bug and that it won't be pervasive in the game.

I wouldn't actually mind some sort of re-balancing mod that tweaks Destruction magic, but it would have to tweak several other things at the same time. People are just fixated on Destruction and not bothering to consider any of the ramifications from tweaking it, and what other things should be modified accordingly.

Any "Destruction magic mod" worth its salt will be tweaking far more than just destruction damage values. Yet that's all the more "popular" ones seem to be doing. Mods like that are horrendous because they take nothing else into account and don't consider how it may affect balance. With that "Improved Destruction" mod you have more powerful Destruction magic while keeping the Impact perk and possibility for zero-cost - what? That's meant to make it more balanced? One of those Destruction mods even reduces dual casting time, making stunlocks even easier.
