Button isnt married :p

Although I cant think of many F1 drivers who are actually married.
Raikkonenn & Schumacher are the only two I can think off as Alonso is recently divorced.

So Hottest wife would probably be Raikkonenn! :D

But girlfriends then either Button or Kobayashi!

EDIT: Damn you ashk!

Thanks for the practice clarification guys. Can't wait for this season to start. I'm in major Motorsport mode right now. I think watching the Senna doc not too long ago re-ignited my love for the sport. I was young when I used to watch F1 regularly so forgive my lack of knowledge and any stupid questions I may ask in the future.

I was probably a bigger Indy fan to be honest. Only because I got to attend the Toronto Indy a bunch of times when it was at its peak of popularity and it was awesome. Best part of going to the Indy was following Ashley Judd around the paddock. Dario Franchitti done good.

Which leads me to my next question: which F1 driver has the hottest wife?

Gonna be watching Indy again now that Rubens may be heading there? (At least I have someone to cheer for at the 500 this year).

Also, to answer: Button.

watched the whole thing.. seems like fun :)

WIsh I had a PC

You should watch our Monaco race - now that is a good watch and listen, I thought Spain was a tad boring for me.

What's the settings (I'm guessing manual trans, drivers aids off)? I'd be interested, perhaps, but I'm very rusty at the game.

Basically everything off except gears (as some people are using controllers). We have had plenty of new players over the course of the races, and pretty quickly they get into the thick of it. Check out the |OT| for further details :)

Yeah as Lucius said no aids bar auto gears if you want them as there are noobs like me using controller still :p

Would be great to see some new faces over with us for a few races, it's good craic and there's a good level of banter too!

Edmond Dantès

Hello peeps. I used to be big into F1 back in the day but lost touch and only recently decided I should get back into it. I used to be all about Ferrari and Schumacher because Im Italian so gotta go for the home team. But starting fresh this season with no allegiances. I still will always love Ferrari though. Don't really know much about Alonso or Massa but I know they're quite good. I'm kind of leaning towards Vettel and Red Bull only because i just signed with them for my second season in F1 2010. lol Big step up from being on Sauber my first season and pulling all the weight in the constructor (sorry kobay but you suck in this game).

Look forward to learning more about this sport and posting in here with you all. :D
Welcome aboard.

In terms of the past, here are the basics; Jim Clark is the greatest of all time, followed closely by Juan Manuel Fangio, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost and Alberto Ascari.

Look them all up on youtube and be dazzled by their talent.

Most attractive girlfriend goes to Marion Jolles.

Anatomy of the Start (Anatomie d'un depart) - Short movie produced by the Elf company in the mid 80's about the preparing cars and people for the Formula One race.

This was really cool. Really loved the montage of the driver's eyes to race engineers to their girls.

I have to agree with Edmond on Grojean winning the hottest girlfriend/wife competition. She is stunning in that classic beauty way.

Oh, Mercedes did some testing (over 300km) today in Barcelona.

Strange that no one mentioned that you can make up those testing days. (Mercedes skipped the last testing day in Jerez)

Autosport reports that they only did about 200km. It seems the rules allow it when you skip a testing day. But 200km is a lot less running (maybe 1 hour tops) than they would get if they did the official test day.

Also you get some 'promotional' tires, that are quite different that ones that you have on real testing

He's nearly as ugly as Petrov now. Impressive.

woow that's a bold statement ...

Red Bull has 'clever development'

"Formula One is about creativity," Caubet is quoted by Auto Bild. "And although the rules have changed, we have worked with Red Bull and found a solution to compensate for the loss of performance. It is not the same as before ... but a clever development that could make the difference."

Adrian Newey himself admitted that the team was still exploring options within the current exhaust regulations.

"The exhaust is one of the areas in which we still have some ideas up our sleeves," Newey said.

That Sky intro was so boring compared to the awesome intro's of the BBC. No climax at all. Want to get pumped properly? Watch these:

2009 The Scream Of Science

2011 The thrill of a lifetime

Edit: Also found the 2012 BBC intro.

Try as I might, I've not been able to find any 90's or earlier BBC intros - other than one from the early 80's - on youtube. Anyone with better youtube-voodoo able to pick one out?

Ideally, I'm looking for the one that used The Chain before it went to ITV.
