Stop shitting on my team. Start shitting on my finger.
Wait, what kind of game is Happy Street? The pictures make it look nothing like Snoopy's Oo

As a sidenote, Monster Life is ADORABLE.

It's like Snoopy's Street Fair but with the aesthetics of Animal Crossing. It seems a little more generous at giving you currency to do stuff with, but not by much.

And I agree with you on Monster Life. Really liking that one also.

It's the same game. You build a building, wait to restock it, restock it, use the money to build new buildings/houses to get more people to buy things, wait for those to be built, occasionally tap on people to get them to buy things to get more money so you can build/upgrade more, skip the waiting by using a currency you can accumulate slowly or buy with real money. It's that game again.
I was really shocked by how many of them there were when I was downloading everything on FreeMyApps for credits. They're all literally the same game reskinned.

They're all literally the same game reskinned.

They're literally not.

On the face of it, maybe, but there's a fair bit more strategy to Happy Street than Tiny Tower, and each game handles its premium currency in ways with varying degrees of trying to rip off a player.

If you don't like the genre, that's fine, but saying they're all the same is like saying all FPS games are literally the same game reskinned because you don't like them and can't be bothered to make the effort to see what makes each game unique.

(The above post doesn't apply to Zynga, who do just release literally the same games reskinned.)

Snoopy's Street Fair has gotten a lot better with doling out the bucks for premium items, as well as sales on some of the items that let you save your bucks. I've gotten about half of the premium characters by just waiting for free bucks from events/daily rewards and I have yet to spend money on any.

I'm really addicted to Happy Street as well, the only problem I have is that I wish there was a way to expand that didn't require flooz. I definitely think they could be a little more liberal with giving them out (like tiny tower) but I'm still loving the game.

Will drop pants for Sony.
Hey everyone, some shameless self promotion :) I am a designer over at Phosphor games (we did Dark Meadow last year). We just put out our first official trailer for our new action/adventure game 'Horn'.

We will be releasing a little later this month.

I think i will pick this up.

What's the best golf game I can play on my iPhone? Is there anything like Hot Shots? Let's Golf has some good reviews, but it's Gameloft.

I don't remember why or when, but I downloaded Grand Par Golf years ago and like it. Similar to Hot Shots. Haven't put a TON of time into it though so I can't speak for the amount of courses/content.

anybody know how playable Space Harvest is on the smaller iPhone screen?

Dead Trigger looks incredible on my 4S but oh god them controls. Not even any decent options as far as I can tell.

Dungeon Village on the other hand is virtual crack. Best grid-based Kairosoft game, especially thanks to the "rearrange" option.

Downloaded Agent Dash, now I'm addicted.

And I just hooked up my iPad to my PC for the first time after I reformatted. Looks like I'm going to be waiting for a long time...

For some reason you can't change the button layout at the "world" map, but you can change it by going into the pause menu when in a mission.

Personally, I never touched 'em, and I found the game perfectly doable.

Between Jurassic Park and Monster Life, I'm really getting sucked in to all these world builder games. Now I know how my grandma felt playing farmville. I'm still not going to pay any money for items or annoy my friends with requests though. At least, not yet.

So is there anyone using Gameloft Live who wants to be my neighbor in Monster Life? I'm not sure how to add friends on that service.

Surprisingly, I'm enjoying Dead Trigger a LOT more than I expected. I haven't found any need for IAPs after hitting level 11.

It's fun but screw the stupid Facebook integration. It's the first screen you load to!

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
Happy Street might possibly be the most polished timesink game I've ever played. But then it reminds you that it's kind of like all the other ones with the waiting and iap. I still appreciate their effort a lot, I was just hoping for more Animal Crossing then Farmville.

I really enjoy Par Out Golf. You draw lines to holes while accounting for obstacles and wind. It's better than it sounds. The free version has a few holes while the paid version has a few courses. I get a lot of satisfaction out of lowering my score on a course after multiple play-throughs. For me, it's not about getting a low score on a single hole, it's about having the enduring skill to have a low score for 18 holes.

Yeah I was disappointed to see that when I started it. What are the benefits of Facebook integration? Advertisement?

It requires Facebook to play?
Thankfully no, I don't have a Facebook and I've been playing it with no problems. It just asks you if you want to import your contacts or something like that.

I'm still waiting for this game to come out in the Euro store... (I tried with a US account but the game crash immediatly ;_; )

Anyway, thanks for recommanding Ice Rage, playing Hockey with a bear has never been this fun!

Huh, weird. Thanks, will try tomorrow when I'm home. I'm just not that fond of dual analog simulation on touchscreens most of the time. Mass Effect Infiltrator is the only one I remember having no problems with, thanks to automatic shooting mostly.

Dead Trigger would be dull to play on any other platform, but it works here. The really slow zombies, and overall slow game play, benefits the iOS controls.

It looks like a modern FPSer, it smells like a modern FPSer, and it sort of tastes like one. And I guess that's good enough so far.

I also sunk a half dozen hours and spent $3 on IAP gold, so I can't complain too much.

I have a hunch that the controls on Dead Trigger took a hit with the latest update... like the touchscreen is tracking a few mm above where the buttons actually are.

I want to grab Spacechem, but $5.99 makes that pretty difficult. Just so much other stuff I have sitting around unfinished, hard to justify the purchase.

I think you need to do it three of four times. I did it until the monster was angry from it.

It's not working. I have tried every direction of finger swiping on the Diggster and it never counts as petting.

If anyone figures out how to pet in Monster Life, please post instructions.

Anyone have Zombies, Run! ?

It's a jogging app, you plug in head phones and you basically get told to run in certain directions and complete missions to gain supplies and stuff.

I got it recently, but I've only been out running once with it. It's pretty cool, it opens up with a story then plays your playlist and intersperses story bits and "collectibles" along the way. Pretty cool.

That's really odd. I just got on there and it took, like, two seconds of that it for it to work.
