Joel is really in high detail. Damn impressive.

I'm curious to see the first generation-jet engine PS4 version look like. Hopefully the difference will only be in 4K resolution.
I did. That video was staged. If you want to believe it was live gameplay it's all good man, I'm not here to be a downer. But it was totally staged.
You can thank the director. SighHave you seen the game footage? Fits perfectly. Screamy grunty scrawny lesbian simulator 2020.
all this over a girlfriend? I thought the stakes would be higher
Ok
It really doesn't.
I know. I played the DLC. It's not in the main game. Maybe some people didn't play the dlc. I felt that the dlc enriched the character.
I never asked or even hinted that. I feel that the first game developed her character way better, and the dlc gave us even more info. Right now, all the trailers are just showing us that she is gay, her motivations are being gay, her hobby is being gay and she will embark on a revenge rampage because of the gayness in her life.
It's just poor writing. Or, worse yet, they made a complex and rich character, flat.
Yeah, RDR2 upped the ante so much I wonder if TLoU2 will have comparable minute details.
Many aspects of it really look amazing, but the muddy snow and especially those horses somehow look off.Naughty Dogs are tops in the industry when it comes to animation and overall production. I'm expecting TLOU 2 to be polished to an unbelievable degree. It will play smooth as butter. But that E3 clip was 100% not actual gameplay, I bet my left nut on that.
Exact animation..
I'm curious to know if Ellie can take an arrow to the head, back, front or leg. I imagine it being very repetitive only pulling arrows out of the shoulder.
You have no proof. Until you can actually confirm it, don't say it is stage.

I have no proof, I'm not FORMALLY accusing them of anything. But it was fake man, it was scripted. There's no way those enemy reactions weren't staged. The game will probably be an all-timer, but let's not blind ourselves here.

Points that were undermentioned was when the enemy looked under the car and Ellie shot her in the face.
Technically most story based games are scripted. Not sure what you're getting at,
It's not about being blind, it's about something you don't know and that you could be wrong.
There was an in-depth video about the first gameplay trailer and how some of those enemy reactions were real and others being mostly undetermined.
Points that were undermentioned was when the enemy looked under the car and Ellie shot her in the face.
Another is the AI peaking looking for you in the beauty shop. The guy explained how detailed the AI was, but then he said the same animation plays when the enemy turns the corner.
Ellie Grabbing the bottle and throwing it at the enemy shows the bottle warping into Ellie's hand, something that wouldn't happen with scripted gameplay.
People have seen the video and it's still up int he air because there's some stuff we don't know.
So no one is going in blind.
EDIT:
Here's the video.
Previews go live on Thursday. We'll know by then. That the gameplay they showed at E3 wasn't actually gameplay, it was fake. It was scripted. It doesn't happen in game. Enemies won't behave like that, your character won't behave like that, it's not how the game plays. It's like a cutscene, but presented as gameplay.
It's my theory at least. It felt too perfect to be real. Maybe they'll surprise me.
Fair enough man, I don't want to derail the thread with this and maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it in the first place. It's not the right thread to bring it up and I'm happy the game is coming out soon. Playing the first one was one of my favorite experiences in the PS3 so I'm really looking forward to the sequel. Let's just agree there's a possibility it was scripted lol and we'll see when the game comes out if it was real and if it wasn't, just how far from the real deal it was. Not a long time to go luckily
In before "It looks downgraded"
Hmmmm.... there seem to be fewer puddles than I remembered from the original presentation. Are you saying that cause you saw the downgrade?
Game still looks good though.
You're probably right that they are keeping it a secret. That was just one of my issues with this premise. What makes you think other people in her camp know she is immune? Why would she advertise that? She's already a young female in a post apocalyptic setting; no need to put a bigger target on herself. The fact that she is wearing a gas mask in one scene proves this may well be the case.
This is Ellie, not Big Boss
They’ve shown she has a love interest, that she is in conflict with some sort of cult, that there is some inciting incident to send her on the path of revenge, that there are other central characters (woman with the axe) whose role we don’t know yet, and we don’t know what role Joe will play yet. For all we know so far, her gay lover is purely incidental and won’t play any role in the larger arcOk

I’m guessing you’re just really honed in on the element that triggered you
Has Naughty Dog ever given away the entire plot in trailers?
Not that I can recall. People always think they have it all figured out. We even went through this with UC4.
Sweetie wait for the real version come December. When the Ps5 launches. In before "It looks downgraded"

You are Correct . And its not the first time they do it.
At least here u can criticise but on era u get banned if u not showing crazy excitement.I have my criticism about what I saw especially the writing but I'll keep that for myself
When you put it like that lol.I feel bad judging you for how you spend your money but...not having to switch discs, which requires a minimum of effort, is worth $30 extra to you? That's fuckin mental.

Yeah, their aint no downgrade as far as I can see either. Sometimes I think people watching at potato quality through youtube on their phones. For some reason youtube vids on my phone always starts playing at 480p and then I have to manually select 1440p.Those of you being concerned about a downgrade should watch the trailer in 4K. It makes a world of difference.
Whats up with RDR2 comparisons?
Honestly not blown away by any part of that trailer. Seems like it's ND's first open world game. Seems like Red Dead Redemption 2, only with better controls.
The story doesn't grab me really. I'm not into the characters, and don't care about Ellie or Joel.
If it actually plays well, and you can not get too bogged down by pretentious SJW story beats, then I'd be down for roaming an open world and stealth killing people. That's about my only interest in it so far.
Yeah, that was me being nice too. I could write a book on how much the first one sucks. One of the only games I've ever sold.
