For me that's disappointing. Especially considering that Joel is escorting a young-ish girl throughout the game. It's like the game makes killing out to be the big thing it is, in certain ways, but then says "not really." I suppose it would be impossible to get the balance exactly right, though TBF.

Oh well, this still looks like it could be maybe the best game in a long time. I just hope it's not a result of hype and bias.

It differs from Manhunt in the way that my Mum hasn't said to me "You're not interested in that game are you? It seems very violent" about The Last of Us.

Of course I was 13 back then.

From the Gamespot review, no story spoilers, but about Joel's personality
He's unlikeable to his very core, a man who spits out angry words and appears to harbor even more sinister thoughts that remain unsaid. He kills because everyone must kill. But he kills with such fury that it disgusts even those who are used to this violence.

In a way, he sounds more like a bad guy than the protagonist, but I think that was the point. In a world like that, the definition of a "bad guy" has changed.

Does anyone know how quickly Amazon send out new releases? I'm working all week and I'm not going to be able to get into town to pick the game up, so I was thinking of getting it online. What do you guys think, is it likely that I'll get the game on Friday (I live in Ireland, btw)?

I would say its pretty much certain you'll get it by Friday. Are you Republic or Northern Ireland?

Awesome, thanks. Will probably order it today then. I usually try to go to an actual shop to get my new releases, but since loads of outlets went bankrupt in my town I don't really have many options

Ah okay I was going to recommend some other stores if you were NI. You'll be fine with Amazon though you just have to last the week now aha.

I swear some of you have a fucking deathwish when it comes to wanting to spoil yourselves. I mean, how hard is it to avoid comment sections and places where you even think theres a smidgeon of a chance you could get screwed over?

But....E3....trailers...reveals....next gen gameplay....

At least the MS and EA conferences will be on TV today, so no comments or chats there.

Any other places beside Twitch to watch the Ubisoft and Sony conferences that won't have a chat?

1. Alot of the spoilers about the ending have been fabricated and are actually bogus, just fyi.

2. Apperantly, similar to Bioshock Infinite, it's very difficult to truly spoil the ending, without it's full context.
