'The Last of Us: Remastered' coming to PS4, July 2014, [1080p, targeting 60 fps]

Oh God....that's horrible. It basically reads as "I'm terrible at games, so I'll blame Naughty Dog for my incompetence. This game should be dumbed down for noobs like myself, enemies shouldn't move so much and Joel should have super steady aiming".

Jeez, I can't believe people are actually allowed to write such crap for the gaming masses.

Seriously why is that person reviewing video games?

Reminds me of HyperBitHero's "review" of Left Behind. First he points out that Riley+Ellies story is told in between sections of Ellie between Fall and Winter... and then says that those have no connection and serve no purpose.

DO YOU NEED A NEON SIGN TO SEE THE CONNECTION?

Is a weird and awesome at the same time feeling that although I do know know that this is some kind of third person shooter and all but I have absolutly no idea how is designed, how the levels are structured, what kind of narrative it has, etc.

I basically only know the basics and thats it, this is the first time since the before internet era that Im doing this and feels awesome, not watching gameplays, only some MP matches that's it.

Im going in with only my faith in you guys and my love of that realistic gore!!

Wait what you never played the game and know nothing about the story?

Man you going to lose your shits when you play this game.

The real question is: Will Polygon get someone that knows how to play the game and understands the story to review the Remaster?

wow, the polygon review really was as bad as people said. The text is actually more baffling to me than the score they gave it.

The characters were bleak. The interiors were bleak. The dialog was bleak. I feel like I need a palate cleanser made entirely of rainbow sprinkles. As a Joss Whedon fan, I know a little comedy can make the situation that much more grim. I wish the writers had taken a page from his book.

For some reason, the joysticks are useless when it comes to using the menu system. You have to use the D-pad and the L1/R1 buttons. I found it wasn’t intuitive, given every other PS3 game I can think of lets you navigate by joystick. A minor quibble, though.

I was lost and more disoriented than I had wanted. I rarely had this problem in a former ND series that shall remain Uncharted.

Ugh.

What the fuck did this thread turn into?

well, I think a good chunk of us have come to the conclusion that the best way to enjoy the game to its fullest is by shoving it right up our shit pussy.

My way involves a bucket of rocky road ice cream and jug of latex, what's yours?

while I disagree with most of that Forbes article I do agree about the
killing the surgeon bit. It did feel completely forced and I think a lot of people felt the same. why couldn't I just push him out the way or why didn't Joel just tell him to fuck off with that puny scalpel.
if naughty dog could change one thing I would love it to be that.

wouldn't make sense with Joel's character why would he now?

I agree, my first play through I just stood there waiting for the doctor to move only to realize that I had to
kill him
