The Nostalgia Critic |OT| He Remembers It So You Don't Have To

So considering he already did the Star Wars Holiday Special, what else is a contender for "Worst Holiday Special" that he could review? Only thing that pops into my mind would be that TMNT live-action "We Wish You A Turtles Christmas". It's horrible and would fit, considering he loved TMNT as a kid.

I'm gonna need that tron legacy video...even if it's probably not positive.

Anyway just watch his 8 crazy nights review. Definitely his weakest review in awhile.
He had a pretty good streak going to .

The sketches ran waaaay too long. It felt like he barely had any material from the movie itself outside of "annoying voices", "too much product placement" and "too mean-spirited".

Hopefully the Christmas review is better (depending on what it is, still holding out for Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer)

Those were Disney? That's... surprising.

I wonder if he's going to touch Touchstone Pictures since they're "Disney with a different label".

with 13 days left i imagine we'll get the rocketeer, the adventures of huck finn, cool runnings, angels in the outfield, homeward bound, the mighty ducks, maybe the straight story (because it's david lynch), pirates, etc.

hard to say how many of the sports movies he'll talk about since there were so many.

I never went through dealing with Santa since... I'm Jewish.
But I can imagine many young kids going through the stages of grief.

I honestly don't recall on how the Santa "illusion" broke to me... but then again I probably figured it out and just rode with it rather than having a personal childhood angst.

Agreed. Definitely felt like he was just out of material. Before even half way it was just beating a dead horse. I'm sure his Christmas review is going to more than make up for it though. Can't recall those ever being bad.

I think it was a culmination of being eased and finding out for myself. As a kid you always have the other kid who's telling everything that santa isn't real. Then after that you just piece things together. Such as me seeing my parents wrap gifts last minute one year as a child. In the end I know I didn't care about santa so long as there were still presents under the tree.

While I think it's a fairly meh movie I love the witches using vacuum cleaners as modern broomsticks.

Are these little mini episodes? I never knew about this on Blip TV. I've only seen his stuff on his site.

They appear on the site a little late.

Is the TV version of Hocus Pocus edited to removed a lot of the virgin stuff? Because I've seen it pretty much every year since it started airing nonstop around Halloween, and all I really recall is some folklore about a virgin lighting a candle, and one scene where the guy's little sister berating him as she explains how it's his fault the witches are there.

Definitely don't recall any adults giving him shit about it.

Ah okay. I've been watching NC for years now. But I only watched the main videos on his site, and never really went beyond there. This is really cool. Going to watch all these little mini ones today. :)

It's possible. I actually saw this movie in theaters when I came out. I was fairly young, and I remember all this. I also recall this on the VHS release. Now that I think about it, I never liked this movie and don't know why I had seen it in theaters, or why my family owned it lol. Disney I guess. But yeah, it's certainly possible the TV version edited it out. But it was definitely in the original.

Disneycember: George of the Jungle

Strange he didn't talk about the sequel. I actually remember a funny 4th wall joke at the beginning about how George was played by a different actor & the narrator said "What happened to the old George?", to which the response was "Old George wanted raise."
