I've never cared much for his crossover reviews because I don't really follow any of the other reviewers.
James has, yes. Back in 2011. It's a 3-parter, plus some other stuff he did.My one one one minor complain on the AVGN crossover is that I wish the "mistakes" were introduced a little more obtusely. Like, I wish they didn't mention the voices not matching, just switched glasses, and then pointed out the errors in more obvious ways. More subtle.
Still, that was a fun episode. Has either the critic or the nerd done a full retrospective of the cartoon show?
48,000 dollars for that?!
"With the $89,757 that we received from Indiegogo we used $47,767.67 on Indiegogo fees, perks (ordering, shipping and shipping supplies), studio upgrades,a studio/filming insurance upgrade, new equipment, sets and the initial costs for this show (5 filmed episodes and 5 test episodes)."
That was just 1 of 10 episodes shot.
They wasted the money,
That game show was truly cringe-worthy.
here's an idea - stream it live, have some sort of audience participation, and keep it to ten minute episodes once a week or something.
I still can't get over the price tag of this thing; I can't even point to where the money went.
The prize money is only $100 too. They definitely diverted those funds unless they're complete dumbasses (which is a possibility). I'm under the impression that Brad lives a little aways from the studio (maybe an hour or two or three) so I would assume they would pay him upfront to cover his gas and a little more for incentive. But judging by the quality of the set, the use of two new non-speaking actors, the new equipment (hah!) I would assume the real cost is closer to 1 or 2 grand for everything. And that's including prize money. 3 grand tops.
One of those actors is Doug and Rob's dad, so he probably didn't get paid.
Channel Awesome seriously needs a major management overhaul if this was acceptable to them. The CEO Mike Michaud seems to be the big issue in everything.
Yeah, I'm pretty shocked with the final result. I was expecting something at least on par with a RedLetterMedia production. I hope this is literally just a test episode, and isn't indicative of the final product. I mean, the audio and video alone...I know they can do better than that, because I've seen better from them before.
Whatever, will still watch for Brad. Just can't hate that guy.![]()
the show is mostly brad jones asking questions from cards in a room. there is no audience, and so it's really weird to watch. it's also really boring because it always cuts from brad when he's done asking questions and back to him when he starts again. it just feels really one note.I haven't even seen this game show either. I'm almost afraid to. I'd probably feel bad for them after whatever that other show they tried out (And canceled the NC for) failed.
I'd hate to think Doug is only able to do his one big character. He keeps trying to break away from it. At least he gets to be himself when he does shows with his brother. I love watching those two talk about movies.
What is this gameshow people are talking about? How much is Doug involved in it?
So is it Brad's show or Doug's show?
I'd think it'd be funnier if it were JonTron in his Malkovich persona in a faux gameshow with Arin Hanson as the pretty assistant.
i don't know why it's just brad asking questions for thirty minutes. clearly this could be done in ten.
same goes with the game show. jontron's malkovich show (i know it's fake) was funnier because it was shorter, more energetic, and it didn't make sense. people stumbling onto the right answers is funnier than asking trivia questions from the last 30 years and making quips about them.
I doubt this would ever launch as something for TV.

Man he really hates LegendaryGoji unlike his brother lol
Nerd are "in" right now. I can see this getting picked up to fill space somewhere.
