I have the sudden urge to play the Left 4 Dead demo again...Probably won't tonight though. Too much work to do, and too much Gears to play. I will however be picking up Left 4 Dead on Friday

I'm playing with this config right now
put this in a textfile give it a name like.. uhm... romero.cfg and put it in
harddrive\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead demo\left4dead\cfg
start the game, in the console type exec romero, press enter and start a match.
now there won't be any bosses, only normal zombies and to kill them you have to shoot them in the head

No, Left 4 Dead isnt a particularly deep game, doesnt offer a ton of variety and could use some more polish in many areas but its so immersive and satisfying the majority of the time that you will ignore some of its shortcomings. Not totally forgive them, mind you, but it feels like the good outweighs much of the bad. On more than a few occasions, I pointed out some glitch that came up during a match to a co-worker and the response was, Yeah, but it was so much fun! Its like having a 1965 Mustang convertible with a faded ragtop you can kind of gloss over the cosmetic for whats under the hood and how it feels driving down the road.

This smoker grabbed me with his tongue and dragged me through the streets. Suddenly my body goes up a bit and i'm hanging like a fricking pinata :lol then the director spawned a horde which kicked my ass while still hanging there. My friends arrived too late, it was funny as hell :lol.

For some reason, the written review on pc.ign.com is unreadable for me. So I watched the video review on pc.ign.com. But then I realized it was the 360 version on video. Not only that but the review didn't mention anything at all about the pc experience. That was a 360 review. What the fuck is it with 1up and ign thinking pc and 360 are interchangeable? They are not. I want a fucking PC review!

Its crazy just how evil the ai director can be. All my team mates were down and waiting for me to reach them so they can respawn. I hear a boomer around the corner and quickly glance around the corner and I am immediately grabbed by a smoker and there was a hunter there as well. Boomer blows up and I am now covered with mucus and a horde is summoned. Killed the smoker and boomer but that was it.
