I heard they buffed his Psycho Crusher too but im not sure how. Anyone know? I heard about it on the GB stream.
Better hitbox I think.

Dunno exactly what they changed about PC, but in vanilla the hitbox was very far up so a bunch of weird shit can knock him out of it/trade (even in his ultra as well, see the akuma glitch or gief's lariat)

For EX PC it has super armor in some spots (bison is fully extended but only for like 1 rotation) , invincibility frames in others (hit [but not throw] invulnerability right at startup), and flat out will lose in others (everywhere else). From what I've seen they've made it so it has super armor in all frames, like rog's ex dash punches.

Yeah it seems like 510 is as good as it gets compared to 600 in vanilla. I think that's what was said about Sagat's, Akuma, and Giefs Ultra 1. And those were the 3 of the 4 most damaging Ultras in SF4 I believe. So I just don't see anything doing more then 510 damage as far as Ultras are concerned.

Yeah. At first I was looking at Makoto's 602 dmg combo that involves her super + ultra and I was like eh....you're giving up everything for damage that Viper could do while retaining 3 EX bars....

But then I put it in perspective. 602 dmg in SSF4 is like, I dunno, 750 or approaching 800 dmg in SSF4, from what I've seen.

Is there any sort of analysis that proves that most older ultras are toned down in damage? I've only seen it in some new Ultras so far.

I haven't seen solid stats, but from watching match videos and reading impressions, it's clear that the ultras deal lower damage all around.

She can put up ~600 dmg with UC2 and juggling using only one bar.

Plus if you're doing scissors trap and you got ultra and some tool mashes out a fierce uppercut, you get a phat punish.

Bison is VERY ground game dependent and you need to have a really strong footsie base to play him right, which is why you're probably having such a hard time with him.

Speaking of which, our games earlier today were pretty helpful because you laid bare the incompleteness of my ground game. I had to step it up beyond my normal play twice over.

Pretty sad considering how important it is to my character. :/

Why did I know someone would say this...

Baiting a reversal eases up on the pressure first of all, and is completely irrelevant to my point. You can bait any move of any character in the game, that is not what I am talking about. The point I am trying to make is every char is dangerous when they have EX bar because they can break pressure instantly, except for characters with a DP that can do it at any time. Taking the human element out of the game, the system skews very heavily towards those that have high priority mashable specials. Defensively the game is lopsided and I think the DP priority nerf rumor evens the playing field. This has nothing to do with any supposed "frustration" I have with bison or anything like that. All I am saying is the offensive threat of shotos and the like should happen when they have EX meter, just like everyone else in the game.

Saying "play better" is irrelevant to my point. Claw players can whoop on Sagat players all day if they "play better", that doesn't change the fact that those two are on opposite ends of the tier list for valid reasons.

I must be the only person that loves damage being toned down. The less damage, the longer the fights, the more potential for combos.

Lol,I think Honda used to be able to go over low tiger shot in older SF game as well.It's just that he couldn't do it in SF IV because of the hitbox or something.

In theory there was a lot of things that sounded really good about her but if you take it into perspective and context of the game engine she's going to get beat out by some pretty retarded BS. At least that's the way I'm viewing it at the moment. Nothing is concrete with Juri until a good 3-6 months in the games release, imo. She's a potential character like Viper but its going to take time before we see anything incredibly good with her. I expect her placement on the tier list to fluctuate much like Viper.


It seem she probably won't end up top tier or have a hard time reaching it.She was probably nerfed several time over since they revealed her. :lol If anything,it's going to be fun to train and discover all that potential. :D
 
I remember upon seeing the crazy shenanigans Sagat could do back in the day, telling a buddy of mine who loves Sagat "Man, you better play the SHIT out of him before a new version or a sequel comes out."

Oh, I want to drink the tears of all the Sagat players in the world. Free wins against Zangief is not fair =(

One thing she has going for her, it seems, is that she has an amazing crossup.

tbh i think the match will be more interesting now that he can do that but buttslams are unsafe. id rather deal with a headbutt spammer than someone who spams buttslams. that shit is so annoying even if you know how to get around it.

I see SSFIV getting a gameplay/glitch patch like SFIV within the first 2 months. There's just way too much added for some goofy shit not the crack through.

that would be cool. i was hoping you could do the super cancel into it from your side of the screen like 3s but doesnt seem to work that way...although maybe if oroshi has super cancel properties you can do it? i dunno.

I'm not sure she needs it. It seems fast enough to be a reliable punish ultra, and I think the combo involving her second ultra does more damage than combos involving her first, excluding the full super bar powerup (which IMO is not very practical).

From what I've seen I'd prefer the second ultra. It should be able to force opponents to keep honest at mid to long range. In close she's fine, from afar she's weak, so I'll take the ultra that helps her there.

It happens to have instant startup so if your opponent misses a link you can squeeze it in. Of course, this means it can just be baited out.
