The PS5 Pro shipping and delivery thread

Picked mine up several hours ago, already installed the drive and set it up. But it was so quiet and dead during pick-up and they still had 8-10 units available for walk in purchases. Pretty crazy, I was expecting some lines and last minute trade ins, but empty shop.

I went there because the QR code came up and said it was ready for pickup. I verified with 2 online reps that it was confirmed for pick up.

So I go there, the girl pulls out the Pro and it was practically in my hands. Then they scan my barcode and I was denied.

So tomorrow it is.

Fuck Amazon. Delivery never updated from 11/11 so I cancelled and ordered for pickup at BB tomorrow.

Can't use my $250 Amazon card but at least I won't have any shipping/delivery shenanigans

Exactly the same. Too much bullshit problems with shipping companies lately. I'd rather drive 15 minutes and pick it up myself rather than wait all day and wonder if it will be delivered at all.

I was alone when i picked up the launch system. At opening today. 2 others were getting a pro.

When i asked how many were being picked up. He said 40.
Small town hervey bay, Australia.

I live in the woods so my drive is 1.5 hours roundtrip but totally worth the peace of mind.

Plus my wife is out of town tomorrow so I get to set it up and enjoy some time playing in peace between work meetings

Sitting around waiting for a delivery is a guaranteed way for that delivery to either not show up or end up being one of those times where they pretend they made an attempt but didn't so that they can save time. F that

I drove pretty far for my first PS5 (not that far though), but yeah, I'm with you on the peace of mind. I'm guessing you are like me and work from home?
 
Anyone have any experience having to sign for Playstation hardware from PS Direct if you live in an apartment with a locker-style concierge set-up? Will I need to sign for it in person or does the concierge do that?
 
I just went for a haircut, cut my nails, had a shower and took a huge dump. I'm all ready for the PS5 Pro, baby!!!!

I called my local store since they are showing out of stock online to confirm they still having mine, I'll do the trade in deal this coming Saturday.

The manager said they still have it and when I asked how many pre orders they had he told me about 55, all gone or just waiting to be picked. A few other stores in the area (Plumpton), are also out of stock.

I won't be surprised if this thing go almost 1m. units WW.

So it's release day here in Japan, I had signed up weeks ago on Amazon to buy via invitation which I no doubt thought I'd get. As each day passed without an email notification I started to wonder wtf was going on lol, surely Amazon sees how much money I spend, not only on PS5 related stuff but in general (they don't give a fuck). What to do, what to do.

I go into a couple of electronic shops, they inform me it's by reservation only, sold out, can't accept new reservations. I guess I should have hedged my bets but I had no issue buying my PS4 Pro at launch and considering the crazy high price in Japan I really didn't think I'd have trouble grabbing a Pro. I remember there is a supermarket where the 2nd floor has a tiny gaming area, it's a longshot but I decide to try my luck, I'm now a very happy boy. Black Ops 6 Pro enhanced let's fucking go! 🥳🥳🥳

Edit: also fyi, you don't actually *need* a vertical stand 👌

Does the Pro come with the screw to secure the m2.ssd or will I need to use the one from the PS5? Not the cover itself but actually securing the m2 to the ps5 board

Will have screws already in the SSD bay of the pro.
