They are pathetic. Last year the Braves stadium was Wrigley South in the playoffs.

BTW this years first couple games are discounting the notion that you can't hit home runs in the playoffs!

INNER CONFLICT:
I thought the Braves would win and predicted a sweep, yet I hate the Braves more than any other team pretty much in sports. And now apparently they suck - how did I not notice that Wright (who I dropped from my roto team months ago and was a FA the rest of the year) was their #1 starter?!

But this Atlanta crowd has me laughing as usual - can almost 40,000 mildly interested observers be any quieter?

I couldn't believe he made it home. First the ball gets stuck at the wall. Then the shortstop double clutches before throwing it home. :lol

Clemens is really struggling today. They may need to pull him after 5.

Fuck, baseballs complete inability to finish a game in under 3 hours even when it's not even close just annoys me. I don't want to watch the managers make pitching changes and the Braves fuck around for another 30 minutes. An actually good game is starting!

Shit, 9-3. But hey there's the first Astro out, maybe they'll be able to wrap this up in 15-20 minutes instead.

Must win game for the Bravo's tomorrow....

Astros played great... looks like a completely different team from even arguably our best team in 1998. If you look at the roster on that team, over half of them are/would be all stars in their career.

Man that WAS some team, I've forgotten...Rotation with Randy/Lima/Shane/Hamp [All having GREAT years]...Bidge was having the greatest year of his career...Alou, Bell, Hidalgo, Carl Everett hitting extremely well...how the hell did we lose to the PADRES??

astros remind me of the 2002 angels with better starting pitching but not as good of a bullpen.
