I don't mean to poke into things too much, but I just have to ask one thing: why is my friend in your avatar? And why is he seemingly have a fun-filled frolic with a Virtual Boy?
Your friend?

Do I look that much like him?

Well thats just sad. Gimmick match with super poor build outdoing a classic moment.

The build to that entire Wrestlemania was awesome. Don't let the extremely negative attitude of wrestling-age get to you.

Man, you're part of the problem. There hasn't been a good buildup to WM since Hogan/Rock. Nothing's had a "big match" feel, even if there were good matches on the card.

I don't know if that is true Benoit/Triple H/HbK had a big match feel. I think the Batista/Triple H match was built up well.

But in general agree with you. Mania feels like any other PPV with more lightss nowadays.

Speaking of Mania..

I kinda wish they would've just left it Benoit/HHH. For your biggest PPV all year, you need to elevate the title, not stick it in a gimmick match. Not that it was a bad match, but still.

Owen Harts ghost! (for all that believe that kinda stuff)

"AnchorWeb.org's Haunted America takes a look at the Kemper Arena in their most recent article. They are saying that in recent years, there have been multiple reports of sightings of (the ghost of) Owen Hart, who in May 1999, fell nearly 80 feet to his death after he unintentionally triggered an early release from the cable he was being lowered into the ring from. Regarding Owen, they wrote: "Employees have claimed to have seen him in the rafters wearing the costume he was wearing for his gimmick as well as the cable before he began the descent. There have also been reports of flickering lights and other power sources that seem to go on and off in some areas of the arena."

There is a rumor making its way around the Internet that Stephanie McMahon is pregnant again with her second child. I have not been able to confirm the story but I was told that this was not Triple H’s family emergency that caused him to miss the RAW tapings in Austin, Texas this past Monday night. According to the rumor, Stephanie is approximately four weeks pregnant, but that has not been confirmed.
oh snap

World Wrestling Entertainment has severed all ties with Ohio Valley Wrestling. Effective immediately, OVW will no longer be a WWE developmental territory. Here are the details:

-- A meeting was held today with all contracted developmental talent. WWE's John Laurinaitis and Ty Baily made the announcement that all of the contracted wrestlers training at OVW there would be heading to Florida Championship Wrestling - which is now WWE's only developmental territory.

-- WWE wants all of their developmental talent in one place. From a logistical standpoint, it didn't make business sense to have their developmental talent in Kentucky, specially since so many WWE employees live in Florida.

- Talent was told that there will be no releases stemming from OVW shutting down and that they will all be relocated to Tampa after finishing a few more weeks in OVW.

- Talent was told the trainers in FCW would be Tom Prichard, Steve Keirn, former WWE star Billy Kidman

- FCW is slated to run its first official TV taping later this month and there have been plans in place to run a regular schedule of live events in Florida.

The move had been suspected for some time as the amount of contracted talents working in Louisville had dwindled greatly in the last year and morale in OVW overall had fallen. Over the years, OVW has groomed a number of WWE's biggest stars, including Brock Lesnar, Batista, John Cena and Randy Orton, among others.
double snap!

Jimm Cornette has to be PISSED. There went his WWE money. He still had an ownership stake in OVW.

That really does suck though. with as quickly as they are going through talent, what would it hurt to have more than one talent pool?

On the heels of WWE ending their affiliation with Ohio Valley Wrestling, they have released Al Snow, who was on a wrestling trainer's contract.

:( Even though he didn't wrestle anymore, Al Snow is badass. They should have moved him to the new territory.

You guys remember the torch runner that Y2J clotheslined in his return?

Turns out he's in my math class and is currently in FCW.

most random meeting EVAR.

I did see this coming since the the underground word was that the WWE wasn't happy with the direction of OVW and quite honestly it feels liek an age and a half since the glory days.

Ask him for an autograph!

Well, I was reading the torch forums and apparently these are the prices for the WM24 PPV.

Standard Def. = $54.95

HD = $69.95

=/

ugh... $70

I may still buy it in HD though, it's WM.

Edit: Actually, I wonder if i'm even able to buy it in HD b/c its not like I can get Raw/Smackdown/ or ECW in HD yet.

Ugh, fuck that.

That's an absurd amount to pay in either case, even if it is Wrestlemania.

Kinda sucks about OVW. I've been somewhat seriously considering doing some wrestling stuff recently, and I live in Louisville.

OVW will still go on, they just won't be connected to WWE anymore. They were around for 7 years, with local TV, before they were bought in 99.

He came up to me and asked me if I was a wrestling fan since I was a wearing a CM Punk shirt.

completely random :lol

Watching TNA, not sure why. Bored and want to torture myself maybe.

But does TNA really love things on a pole? Right now its Black Reign and Kaz. 4 Poles. 3 have in mouse traps. One has a rat in it.

Also the Feast or Fired (wasn't this like 2 months ago?) thing is still going on. This time it seems like they are gonna have a match and winner gets two single title shots..... if there is an X-Division title. :lol

There's sparkles of hope in TNA. The idea that they are holding to the idea of longer-term booking and letting feuds play out.

On the other had, the reasons for the feuds are mind-numbingly stupid. This company was THE HOT SHIT in 05-06.. now they've devolved into a damn joke and it irritates me.

They have one of the smartest men in wrestling in Jim Cornette, yet don't use him. They have 2 of the worst minds in wrestling... Russo and Mantel.... and constantly use them.

They're sparkles of hope in every company. TNA just has the most stupid, mindnumbing shit on their TV, worse than anything any wrestling promotion has done, ever. At least WCW has the decency to DIE, yet TNA still survives, still losing money, still sucking, still turning stars into fools, still not making tense, and it will continue to do so until the END OF TIME.

ARWRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG2FUCKTNA.

....at least the PPVs are still ranging from good to awesome... now if they could just carry that over to their TV show.

Things I hate about TNA right now:
AJ Styles as a goofy bitch.
TOO MANY FUCKING GIMMICK MATHES! They've lost all and any meaning.
Too many copy-characters... Stone Cold Sharkboy, Little Poppa Pump Petey Williams, Jay Lethal, Kip James imitating Torrie Wilson's wardrobe
Good feuds ended too soon, bad feuds carried on too long. Kaz vs Black Dust anyone? KAZ IS MUCH BETTER THAN THAT!

For the love of christ... back the truck up to Paul Heymans door and let him write to his hearts content!

As for your complaints about "losing money", etc. Well, I don't care.. and really don't know. They're a private company, they don't report shit. Last I've heard they break even and maybe turn a little profit...which fucks up their tax shelter status with Panda.

I hate this 6-sided ring shit. It doesn't add anything to the matches. All it does is look different.
Then you'd hate Mexican Lucha Libre... where it was taken from.
But at on epoint, the ring DID have a use. It was meant for the X-Division guys to do their high-flying. The ropes are VERY tight and perfect for sprining off of.

EDIT: As I write this... a dream match is playing out... but it's being ruined by Aj's fucking goofy gimmick. AJ vs Tiger Mask should be a ***** affair, not a throwaway on TV.

Am I allowed to say something positive about TNA? :lol

I like how they're bringing in guys from NJPW.

Tiger Mask IV really sucks.

TNA PPV buys were basically HALF what they were doing last year. That doesn't sound like making money to me.

They get money from Spike, their DVDs sell pretty well, their house shows are doing REALLY well for the small venues they play (high ass ticket prices). That ring is so small up close, especially being in it.

Once again, I don't care if they make money or not. That's never been the point. It's a money sink for Panda, nothing more. If they make a profit, great...but can hurt the tax shelter status.

Besides, who watches wrestling worrying if they made a profit last year? Not me.
