What the fuck's the point of doing two Elimination Chambers on the same PPV? That's some TNA-level booking right there.

What's HWF? I was reading Sabu's wikipedia and a lot of times where it should say ECW, it says HWF. Some kid fucking with wikipedia?

Also, apparently WWE hired some NYC news lady that got in trouble for socking a cop, and she looks kinda like Karen Angle.

Anybody respect him. i enjoyed his match vs sabu where he 450 splash sabu thru table outside. I guess he would be considered spot machine. but damn did his mask look cool. I've seen him suplex his foes on top of the head much like the jpn style. his shooting stars werent always on target but his 450's were nice. and the twisting front flip. the top rope eddie move as well where he follows up with moonsault. oh and the twisting falcon arrow babay hope im correct. can't forget the bermuda triangle!

iuno i was just watching tributes about him. tis a shame what happened to him.

isnt kofi kingstom using his spin kick thang that haya used. how much do u think wwe/tna ripps jpn style?

http://youtube.com/watch?v=46eMsmV3LtA

this is the one ive had for years sure sappy music but i can dig it with the phoenix.

i love the puro style. is it as good now as it was in the 90's?

Possible Wrasslemania spoilers...

- Early plans for WrestleMania 24 have Triple H facing John Cena for the WWE Title, which would mean Triple H wins the Elimination Chamber and Cena takes the belt from Orton at No Way Out. There also has been rumblings of a 3-way with Orton, Triple H and Cena at WrestleMania. Either way, Triple H is likely to be wrestling for the gold in the main event at WrestleMania. It's being said Triple H has been politicking backstage in WWE very hard since the Rumble on Sunday night.

The expected SmackDown main event is still Edge vs. The Undertaker, which would mean both men win their matches at No Way Out. MVP vs. Matt Hardy for the WWE United States Championship is still being planned and of course the Money in the Bank match. The rest of the big stars such as Hardy, Kennedy and Orton (if he's not in the main event) are expected to be thrown into the MITB match.

What about Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania? There has been talk of doing something between him and Finlay over Hornswoggle, although not necessarily a singles match. Match ideas that have been thrown around are Vince vs. Mick Foley, Foley vs. Shane McMahon or Finlay & Foley vs. Shane & Vince. -

For the love of god, I can't take another HHH vs. Cena match at WM it's getting a little old.

Pretty much all of that was expected. Once Cena got his title shot at No Way Out, I knew it would be him and Triple H at Mania. Triple H has this ego about him.

Taker vs Edge as i have been saying for months only makes sense. It is oddly one of the big feuds WWE has left that hasn't been done before. And they have actually booked it (accidently as it was) for almost a year at this point with Edge stealing the title from Taker then costing him the Hell in a Cell

Finlay vs McMahon makes sense, but I don't know McMahon works best in those gimmicky environment. I don't know if Finlay is a big enough star to warrant it.

Also this probably doesn't affect many on the boards, but WWE has broken up the Monday Night Wars on WWE 24/7 into Nitro and Raw instead of one huge chunk. It works out better than having to watch 3 hrs of wrestling in 24 hours.

And on the note of WWE 24/7. Weddings in wrestling just don't work. :lol
The most successful wrestling wedding seems to have been when the bride was drugged and wed in a Las Vegas chapel.

didn't we do a Triple H vs Cena at Wrestlemania already? I mean what the fuck at least change up your main event.

This wouldn't be the first Mania main event to repeat.

Though personally I don't think Triple H/Cena are on the same level as Austin/Rock.

Regarding CM Punk's title loss to Chavo Guerrero, his clean loss to Edge on SmackDown in his big revenge match a few days later, and being eliminated by Chavo at the Royal Rumble, he is reportedly in "the dog house" again. The story backstage is that Punk isn't listening to the road agents who dictate his matches and that his house show matches as of late have been considered to be "indy level sloppy." Also, the agents aren't too pleased that he reportedly laughs about his botches in matches when he comes backstage. As if that isn't enough, there appears to be another political issue of some sort involving Punk hitting on the wrong person in the company.
Poor Punk.

As much as I LOATHE Cena, they are wasting an opportunity by having their match at NWO.

Hell Ortoan is the guy who "took him out" that enough is strong enough to build a HELL of a program around. With Randy coming into his own as a character it has a world of potential.

BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HHH has to politic his way into the main event, which has no reason being in.

i hope hhh puts Cena over at wrestlemania 2 dot 4 nah mean

its Cena's Time and mrs. helmsley you can sit in the back and crunch numbers.

to be fair (not to triple H but WWE) Trips hasn't had a real title reign since the end of 2004, and has never really had a significant WWE Championship reign. If cena gets the belt at NWO and Trips gets it at WM for more than a week, that could be really interesting. I mean having Cena chasing the belt is something we haven't had for YEARS. And chasing after HHH will give us much better promos than chasing after Orton. I know a bunch of you guys like him but he still just hasn't caught on with me yet.

rumored wrestlemania match:

shawn michaels vs ric flair

am i the only person who (though it wouldn't exactly be the best technical match) would love to see ric flair vs undertaker at wrestlemania? the streak vs the retirement?

If it's not a sloppy assholish mess like their WMX8 match, sure.

lol we should call this the Raw to Wrestlemania 24 thread you guys only talk about Raw :lol

I think Smackdown/Impact are hurt by the fact that they are taped so not much to talk about since not a surprise to many. Also Friday is a popular night to do other stuff. always hated the move from Thursday but eh.

Er an interesting roundtable discussion on Cena and stuff.

Why would anyone want to talk about Impact anyway. I watched it for the first time in 5 months and its as bad as ever. Smackdown isn't bad, but it is always boring.

I'm scratching my head as to why Chris Jericho came back to become a jobber.

Who has he beaten since returning? Santino? :lol

I think all of you will be real dissapointed about 2 weeks after Jericho's return. I just see him going back to what he was the day he left.

I think alot of people are expecting the Jericho that debuted in the WWE in 1999. That character lasted a good year, if that.

I remember getting some backlash after posting that.

GO FUCK YOURSELF BRAD!!!

...are you trying to be a heel or something?

Interview with Paul Heyman from The Sun:

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/heyman/article762131.ece

So the theory of bringing ECW back and making it profitable worked as a business move.

But the expectation from the audience that ECW was being brought back only served to be a monumental letdown.

By comparison, if someone were to resurrect The Beatles and say: “You know what, we want to make them more globally accepted, so we’re going to have a white guy, an Asian female, a Hispanic Bisexual and an African-American with a Scottish accent.”

In the land of WWE that actually makes sense.

The final straw was the December to Dismember Pay Per View. That show was just a wreck.

I knew it going in. I kept trying to pitch different things for the show that week, that weekend, and even the day of the show. All day long on the day of the show, I kept coming to Vince saying: “The people are going to throw this back in our face.”

Q: Can you give us some examples of the things that you wanted to do that Vince said “no” to?

I thought the undercard was horrible.

I thought that the design of the show itself made no sense.

I just felt that the entire layout of the show, the entire complexion of the event was a downer.

I also thought that we were doing Bobby Lashley no favours the way he was going to win the title. Lashley winning the title, especially if you eliminate Rob Van Dam and CM Punk early, would be leapfrogging over RVD and Punk.

Van Dam was the sentimental favourite, Punk was the kid that all the crowd was getting behind and they wanted to see the upset.

If you don’t appease the need for the audience to see that new hero get crowned like Punk did the week before at Survivor Series when DX let him say ‘Are you ready?’ then the audience will feel ripped off.

If you don’t put that spotlight on Van Dam, with whom the paying customers have just taken this long ride back into the title chase, then the paying customer will feel ripped off.

My opinion was to start the chamber off with the Big Show saying: “I’m a seven foot tall, 500lb giant, I’m gonna mow through every one of you.”

And the first to take him on would be Punk. Playing to the fact that UFC is so hot and in the public consciousness, Punk chokes out Big Show in the first round of the Elimination Chamber, four-and-a-half minutes in, and now the champion is out.

You know for a fact, before any two contenders lock up, I’m getting a new champion at the end of this match.

Then, the first guy to come out after Big Show v Punk, would be Van Dam. You let Van Dam and Punk fight it out, and then you start feeding in the heels.

Vince hated this. He especially hated the fact that Big Show liked it.

Q: Even though he was being choked out within five minutes, Big Show liked it?

Of course, because he was making a new guy!

Big Show is so underappreciated in terms of how smart he is to the business, and how willing he is to make new stars.

Vince wanted all babyfaces out of the way and for all the spotlight on Lashley and for Lashley to do a Goldberg-style two minute squash of The Big Show.

At that point, not only did I realise that this is going to suck, not only is everyone going to throw this back at us, but this show is going to run short.

And during the show, I pointed all this out to Vince, which just angered him even more, and he didn’t care.

His attitude was: “When this broadcast is over, people will see a new champion, they’ll have a new hero and they’ll all be happy.”

When I went to Vince right before I went out to introduce the Chamber, I pointed out again to him “Vince this show is horribly short.”

I had this idea of getting 15 minutes out of the crowd, but Vince said: “No, no, no. Just go out there, make your point, and introduce the Chamber.”

Which is why, when I was in the ring, I made the statement: “ECW will live long after I am gone.”

Because I knew, either when I went back into the dressing room, or within the next day or two, it was time for me to leave.
