I think we'll see slight console changes. Only Iwata and co. know right now.
It´s only one user, we couldn´t do anything about it
who is saying no redesign?
IdeaMan is saying that since the latest dev kit looks like the original design but with special coloring, just like the final Wii dev kits, that chances are the deisn isn't gonna change.who is saying no redesign?
Not sure if mentioned, but it also seems like Iwata will be guest tweeting on NoA's account starting tomorrow.
If we'll see a completely redesigned Wii U(very extensive changes) tonight, then it was hidden to third-parties, as they supplied the latest dev kits with drive integrated, like the luigi Wii dev kits, using the design we saw at E3 2011.
It's not impossible huh I covered the 3 scenarios. But the more likely is no redesign, or a very small one (maybe change of color, etc.).
I couldn't care less what it looks like.
I do want it in BLACK
I do want it in BLACK
They're out Apple-ing Apple in secrecy.and this is awesome, Nintendo is leak proof these days. The ninjas are worth every buck they get paid. I bet even the Ninjas habe informations about WiiU.
Basically he's saying it'll either stay the same or it won't. I bet he's right.IdeaMan is saying that since the latest dev kit looks like the original design but with special coloring, just like the final Wii dev kits, that chances are the deisn isn't gonna change.

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto explained, "We found over the years when we included a lot of different colors in our hardware is people would kind of point to that and use it to paint us as more kid-oriented."He notes that previous Nintendo systems, such as the Famicom and Super Famicom, were far more colorful. The GameCube famously launched in purple and black. Miyamoto noted that while his preference is to "make greater use of color in our hardware," Nintendo has found that minimizing the number of colors maximizes appeal to all age groups.Nintendo went with white for Wii and Wii U because they "found that rather than going all black - all white seems to have a broader appeal to people.
Gah, I was hoping for a redesign .
I find black boring, because every damn game system after the SNES has been available in black. I'm hoping for shiny gold, and shaped like a triforce.I do want it in BLACK
Once Matt and Bozon left IGN Nintendo went down hill.
Make it PINK!
4 - The small button near the power remains mysterious for third-parties. It seems it isn't a touchpad, an additional game input, or other exotic feature. It may be related to the asymmetrical setting of the system. Basically, it could allow an instant switch between the TV and the DRC. Grain of salt for this.
Hey, Craig Harris was pretty good too.
Sadly, it seems like we are doomed to only have white, at least at the launch release anyway.

I really don't see harm in just sticking to two launch colors - white and black. Nintendo's done it with the DS and 3DS too. Well, 3DS now has a shit ton of colors to choose from now. I don't recall what the situation was like with the DS during the same time frame.

About the square button near power on the Wii U controller
You may remember this post (also in the leaked DRC picture thread) where i detailed some modifications that appeared on the updated Wii U "padlet".
There are more evidences that indeed, this button is to switch directly between the TV and the Wii U controller. This will avoid the need to go to the interface, choose an option, etc, it will be instantly.
Now, will it work for every games, especially for titles built using two screens simultaneously (TV + controller) ? I hope we'll have some answers tonight
But this feature is already cool, imagine someone in a rush to not miss a tv show while you're playing, by just pressing a button, your game is on the DRC !
Not a fan of pink, but I'll take that over white. Indeed.
They'll save black for the PS4/720 launchAGITΩ;38462608 said:I really want to know where they did that study, unless they are basing it on Apple Products. Consoles are for the TVs, most TV sets are Black, it goes more inline with everything in the living room. Once Black Wii's came out, we were selling them like gangbusters, and when given with a choice between black or white, 90% of consumers at my store chose black. To the point that Nintendo pretty much has only been making Black Wii's here in the US since Last Holiday season.
Make it PINK!
Pink gurly or Pimp daddy Pink?
