This thread is for stupid GAMING questions that don't deserve their own thread

My 60GB launch PS3 has been really loud the past few weeks. I dont think i've ever heard the fans going that crazy. I have a 320GB HDD I installed in there, if I put that in a new ps3, will it work, or should I be backing everything up immediately?

Yeah you have to back it up, if you just swap the drive the new PS3 will want to format it.

Is it true that SCE Japan Studio actually developed Bleach Soul Ignition ( in house)?

help me decide what game to buy next: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood or Dead Space 2? I'm stumped.

Go with Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Dead Space 2 do not worth it, it's very disappointed, less horror and more stupid action compared to the amazing first game, and the story is all over the place.

Does anyone remember which monkey island game had that joke "nice use of ™"? I would be able to put a screen shot of this to good use

Is there anyway we can disable the low battery warning on the 360 controller? Mine does that half way through the battery and when I play a multiplayer game it is distracting and gets annoying. I'd rather just have it shut off when the battery dies than give me that warning.

Unfortunately, I've never heard of a way to disable it, excluding black tape over the lights.

Tried searching and couldn't find anything, need a mic for PS3 and found my old USB Headset/mic that came with my Rosetta Stone package. Will this work with a PS3? I'd rather not bring it all the way from my parents house if its not going to work and I dont have any way to test it.

It should work, since the PS3 recognizes almost any USB device. At the very least, there's no harm in trying it out.

why the fck is the pokemon black/white OT in the community section? No one checks that section and it is an OT wth gives? did i miss something?

From thread- I'm at this town in this house and they are giving me poke quizzes. First question is something like how do you tell someone good job with the hint something like burnt something idk I paused it like an hour ago and forgot.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Can someone tell me how I'm supposed to beat the Gates of Hell in The Last Remnant? (PC Version)

Sometimes everything goes well, I kill all the enemy unions with my groups alive and well, but somehow the boss manages to get locked with every group BUT the Cyclops/Whatever thing Rush summons and then I die a horrible death.

Every single time. I don't have the right herbs and whatnot to heal my unions either :( So if anyone knows a good tactic against this mofo I'd be happy as fuck.

(The battle against the two generals was a piece of cake compared to this shit..)

So I've never played through Ocarina of Time in its entirety.

I played all the way to the Gerudo Desert area years ago but never got past that, and I've played the ending via a relative's save file. I've never played Majora past the second dungeon.

I'm likely gonna pick up Majora's Mask from the Wii Shop Channel by the end of June, but should I wait to play Ocarina on the 3DS or should I just go ahead and play the N64 original?

Consider that I probably won't get a 3DS until the first price drop, as I've still got way too many DS games to finish in the meantime.

Why wait? Buy the Virtual Console version and enjoy. The 3DS probably won't have a price drop any time soon (the DS didn't see a price drop either, even though it too had a slow launch).

Oh, I'm not bashing the 3DS' slow sales by any stretch. I want one, the only thing that's holding me back is my massive DS backlog. (I didn't buy the original DS until the Electric Blue model came out, as Sonic Rush was released around that same time and it got a drop from $149 to $129 that summer prior.)

Last May, I was planning to replay the N64 version of Ocarina of Time...until the 3DS version got announced at e3. I decided to wait for that, purely for the now playable framerate and other benefits, not to mention the 3D.

I'd like to start playing the Silent Hill series; I'm in no way averse to iffy graphics, and I'm a bit of a stickler for playing series in order (at least in order of plot progression).

With that knowledge: Silent Hill 1 or Shattered Memories?

So I saw that ds game Glory of Heracles for like 15 bucks at Best Buy, I woulda got it but I wanted to know if it isn't total shit first. I was skeptical because the only other games at that price were shitty liscensed and no-name stuff.

If doesn't have to be amazing, but is it any good at all?

I have a question. I am after a new game and am having trouble deciding. Which is a better game, medal of honor or The Simpsons game? I know there completely different but I can't afford both as I'm getting a few others. So which is the better game?

Gamertag question: I'm from Dublin, Ireland and I'm moving to London later this year. I'm wondering if I'll be able to use my "Irish" gamertag in London without any trouble?

Silent Hill 1. SM is a reimagining of the first game, not a remake. There are some things that happen later in the series that refer to what happens to SH1 (tangentially and otherwise), and a lot of stuff is changed in SM.

Gamestop yesterday had a "50% extra credit when you trade a game in!" banner hanging in the window, and today it is gone. Do they often do little one day sales like this?

and to be clear, if a game got $20 trade in, they would give you $30 on those days??

Yes, but its only for store credit, not cash.

Quoting for new page.
