I do. If I had it I could be playing Halo Anniversary on PC right now at 4K 120hz.
Hmm, maybe wait for DP 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 converters to hit the market, or the new graphics cards will natively support HDMI 2.1.

I've been stalking Club3D's website waiting for them to release to vendors. Even then they aren't cheap I managed to get an order for one on Amazon and its $77 before shipping and tax. They also don't support the VRR/Gsync. Think about how all of this could have been averted with a simple displayport 1.4 that LG provides on even their cheapest monitors.

What do you guys think of the Eve Spectrum monitors coming out by the end of the year. The 4k one looks good to me.

A TV isn't close in price for the feature set that 4k monitor has. An LG, Sony or Samsung tv with those specs will run a thousand dollars or more with the only advantage of having a larger screen and HDR which to me has never looked all that good.
Anyway, I was mainly considering one of these monitors for my PC. I've had it hooked up to my TV for a while now but I want to try and see if my GPU can take advantage of some of these specs. I'm also hoping PS5 supports 1440p resolution unlike the Pro.
Also, I wanted a traditional desktop setup.
Both models 2 and 3 there have HDMI 2.1 ports. Eve is setting up those monitors as viable alternatives for next gen consoles. Would these displays have better ppi then the tv's?
Man, this is getting me even more hyped! I think this will be Sony's best selling TV 2020/2021 for it's great value! It's hard to beat that bargain. Can't wait for the HDMI 2.1 reviews!
Yeah I look forward to those reviews as well.
Take with how ever much salt is needed but spoke with a Sony rep and he said that HDMI 2.1 update will happen shortly before the PS5 launch plus that update should also make the TV work with the Xbox 1440p 120hz update.
Already posted in the OLED thread but repost it here. Im gonna buy a tv this week but can't decide between 2 models, 55 inch Samsung Q90R or the 55 inch LG C9. Im gonna use it as my pc monitor and gaming tv for my consoles. I sit very close to my tv and have a bright room. I use my screen to edit video's, photo's, gaming and designing, so color accuracy and brightness is very important. But i also want to future proof it for next gen consoles and use 4K120hz. Im gonna upgrade my pc next year with the upcoming RTX 3080 or 3080ti (depends on the price). I love the oled panels on my phones (S3, Note4, Note5, S8+, Note 8, S10+ and Note 10+) they are the best, BUT 3 of them had burn in problems and that scared me to choose the oled wich is why i was looking for the Qled. I use my tv 6h - 10h a day with full brightness for editing, will that cause burn in? I use alot of bright colors like cherry red and gold yellow . Also is there anybody that uses a oled as a pc monitor? If yes how is the experience, is it to dim or did you have burn in? The Q90R is the best 4K LED tv at the moment and that one is also looking incredible and its really bright, i saw them both next to each other in the store but they had different video's so it was not a good comparison. BTW i checked every comparison on Youtube and it made it even more complicated for me to choose . I want the brightness of the qled without the burn in and contrast and color accuracy of the oled. The prices are 1389 euro for the qled and 1200 euro for the oled. The new CX 48 inch cost 1699 euro and tbh i didn't see any difference when i compared it with the C9 side by side with the same video. The newer Q95T cost 2299 euro for the 55 inch version and that one has lesser diming zones but a litlle better gaming mode, so its donwgraded in some ways compared to Q90R.

Color accuracy is one of Sony's obvious advantages. I use my TV for video/photo editing and been suffering with previous LG LCD's.
For productivity you better stick to LED, and with Sony. I didn't touch my settings when connected my PC to my old 2016 4K HDR Sony DX70, it's that accurate, and newer ones should be even better.
I would recommend X900H myself, and save that extra money. You can see here a graphics mode that's meant for productivity and provides accurate colors for such work. I work on DaVincci Resolve for videos and on Polarr for photos. It's critical to have accurate, not exaggerated colors.
Timestamped:
The X950H might be slightly better with 1,200-nits but lacks HDMI 2.1. Or you can go to C9/CX but with PC you're putting it in a very dangerous range to get future banding or burn-ins.
There is no perfect TV, just watch that TV in person and decide for yourself, I personally don't trust other brands for color accuracy, maybe Panasonic but it has no HDMI 2.1.
I have a C9 and although the chances are slim burn in scares me especially to use it as a PC monitor as you will.
Just curious have you looked at this new Sony X900H we are talking about?

I just bought the C9, thnx for the recommendation. If it survives 3 years without burn in than its enough for me, i wil upgrade to 8K oled by then. And the lack of 4K120hz is the reason i didn't consider the Sony. There tv's are amazing but always lack some features compared to LG or Samsung. And its 500 euro's more expansive than the Q90R and C9 so its a bit too much.
The x900H is getting full HDMI 2.1 support which means also 4k 120hz and where you are the 900H is more expensive then a C9? wow
I agree but I'd wait for something coming in September, Vincent showed that the X1 in the XH90 doesn't have super-bitmapping (Smooth Gradation) so I think its more the X1 chip from the XG85 of 2019, in 2020 they are saying the XH80, XH85 AND XH90 all have the X1, so its an upgrade for the 80 series, same for 85 series and looking like a downgrade compared to XF/XG90.
We'll know for definite soon though, hopefully Vincent will compare it to an XF90 and let us know if the picture processing is as good, if it is then I'd assume the X1 Extreme is dead and X1 is rebranded as it, X1U is now the midrange processor (This is hilarious because it smashes the competition already) and a new X1 will be due soon.
What do you think it will be called?
X1... HYPER... lol
I run monitor + headphones setup for everything (games, movies, music, etc.). Ideally, I'd like to upgrade to 4k HDR at the start of next gen.
I just wish the Acer/Asus 4k 144hz HDR monitors didn't cost as much as a full blown PC lol.
For me the X900H is a 4-5 years gaming tv then goes to the living room, then will jump into 8K HDR micrLED (Sony's Crystal LED) as soon as it's reasonably priced are released around PS5 Pro!
I was waiting for Sony's WH-1000XM4, but since I saw the Pulse 3D I'm going for it instead. I think it'll have some rumble features like back in the day!
Overall I don't think monitors are good enough for console gaming, maybe PC yes, but not console gaming. You pay more for less. But some like them, so everyone picks what suits his preference.
My main gaming even console is done on monitor and my main reasoning is when I play shooters I have much less ground to area to look at searching for targets.

Nope i meant the 900H, but its not 500 more expensive i was wrong, its 200 more for 900H and 500 more for 950H.I think they meant the AG8 was more expensive than the C9 or Q90R.
BothWill you only be playing next-gen consoles on it or are you getting an HDMI 2.1 GPU? Or both?

Both
Yup, the AG8 cost 300 more than C9 and doesn't have HDMI 2.1. Sony's are expensive here in Belgium.Oh right. Why didn't you get an AG8 then? Is it still more money than the C9?
edit - oh wait im being an idiot, its because you wanted HDMI 2.1 on your set. Got it.
This was always my torture test for seeing motion artifacts, if you can increase smoothness/interpolation on your set and this still looks clean then you are doing extremely well:
That was gorgeous just watched it and my old eyes thought the 900H handled that motion great.
If you watch it in your youtube app in the TV it will be in HDR as well, say "search youtube for native american fancy war dance 4K" and it should bring it up as first result, as long as you have the voice search set up obviously lol.
*Heisenberg shouts at his TV that has no microphone inside it*
That H9G is a gorgeous panel for just watching TV/Movies and this set in particular does not have the black crush that the poster above me threw a blanket over complete brands.
The drawbacks on the Hisense are the UI is not near as snappy as I would like, the 4k upscaling is not near as good as Sonys and of course losing the gaming features.
But for a $900 TV the colors are amazing, has super deep blacks with 180 dimming zones on the 65", 1000 nits of brightness and pretty decent onboard sounding speakers.
Sitting them side by side to the Sony X900H for just movie watching the Hisense actually has the better picture in 4k HDR.
LOL what?A TV isn't close in price for the feature set that 4k monitor has. An LG, Sony or Samsung tv with those specs will run a thousand dollars or more with the only advantage of having a larger screen and HDR which to me has never looked all that good.
Which one do u think actually does games better? It’s will just be a game tv. Sounds like the Sony. I’m looking at that one as well
i agree that TV's are the way to go however my situation for the next few years means I can only play my consoles on a maximum of 27inch monitor so I'm still looking for some monitor to give me the best performance possible - even sticking with 1080p would not be a problem if i could guarantee a monitor that gives me the same colour and clarity as my 6 year old bravia TV haha
Slim pickings for folks like me who prefer to game on their monitor. Desk space is limited (27" max I can fit in), so I can't use a TV as a monitor either. Looking at some of these 4K HDR monitors with high refresh rate, the prices are completely absurd. You could buy both PS5, Series X and still have enough change for a cheap 4K TV for the price of one! Also, the HDR on these monitors is so ass, it'll pale in comparison to some of the gimmicky HDR you find in entry level 4K sets. Perhaps, time to do a redesign of the room later this year.
What's the progress on these OLEDs from perspective of HDR? Can they stack up to QLEDs from Samsung?
