Lol Phil just straight up trolling here.

Where did they say that they want pc+console parity?Yeah, the ones they didn't finish working on because they didn't want the PC version looking too good due to parity issues.
Don't forget, it's totally awesome! So when you visit the Paris of Assassins Creed Unity, take a minute to look around. Visit the landmarks. Interact with the crowds. But most of all, play the game and get lost in the stunning next-gen world of Assassins Creed Unity a game built from the ground up to deliver a new experience in a city of unparalleled virtual beauty and realism.
Our mandate from the start was to redefine what Assassins Creed is for next gen, Pontbriand says. A big ambition and a promise that the global development team looks forward to delivering when Assassins Creed Unity releases on November 11.
Where did they say that they want pc+console parity?
No, people were asking this question.
Well that's completely uncalled for and unnecessary. Do you have a problem?Fixed.
I like how they just lump both consoles together.
Don't forget, it's totally awesome!
Fixed.
I don't know, game development takes a long time and involves a ton of things. You'd be completely flabbergasted at the amount of things that don't make it into the game, let alone the things that are left on the disk itself. Why did they not complete the visual effects they originally touted the game with?
I wasn't wondering any of this - I was wondering why 99% of the people didn't seem to read the original comment which just sounded like it was worded poorly but clearly said the lower resolution was a result of CPU bottlenecks that exist in both systems.
But ignorance is better because it fuels outrage, the typical gamer response.
I do like how they didn't note the power difference between the two consoles. So you had to do 900/30 to get the game running smoothly, great, but the PS4 version should be a bit better than the XBO version still, why is it not?
Their PR handlers came back from sick leave.
They have achieved what every AAA publisher achieved. Completely miss the memo lol.
How about coming out and stating what about the hardware is limiting you reaching 1080p? Is there no difference between the hardware even tho numbers say differently? Is your engine a shit show?
Well that's completely uncalled for and unnecessary. Do you have a problem?
Interesting. I think Andrew has discovered the answer. It's a lot simpler than anyone thought.Keep fighting the fight, Andrew.
How is
We made the resolution the same so there is no debate
Badly worded to
Both are the same resolution because that's the best we can do for the game
We realize we had also pushed for 1080p in some of our previous games, including AC4. But we made the right decision to focus our resources on delivering the best gameplay experience, and resolution is just one factor.
I think he's telling lies.My thoughts exactly lol. How do you accidentally say something completely false like "we locked the specs to avoid debates" instead of "these specs are what we are targeting right now"
Lets be clear up front: Ubisoft does not constrain its games.
How is
We made the resolution the same so there is no debate
Badly worded to
Both are the same resolution because that's the best we can do for the game
The first is them admitting they can make a different res and second is them saying they can't
I chose the wrong words the other day too. I mean to say "mom, please pass the butter", but instead I said "you bitch you ruined my life." For that I'm sorry.
You can't weasel out of something you've said by claiming that you simply worded it incorrectly when your original statement was crystal clear and had no room for mis-interpretation in the first place.
I kind of stopped at the first sentence and thought about Watch Dogs PC. Lies!
This is so depressing to think this is a reality, I really hope it isn't but like people have said, if they have the xbox 1 running at 900p now, they most certainly can run the ps4 at s higher resolution. It's that simple. I've got no idea what Ubisoft are thinking here
What the hell is he trying to say? It only makes sense if you think the XB1 and PS4 are roughly comparable in power. And... they're not. We know that. So what he's saying makes no sense at all.
"We decided to lock them at the same specs to avoid all the debates and stuff,"
Lets be clear up front: Ubisoft does not constrain its games. We would not limit a games resolution.
I simply chose the wrong words when talking about the games resolution, and for that Im sorry.
