Lib Dems should have made a deal when they could have. Hell, even I could have told them that Labour didn't want to make a coalition work - they share a similar voter base, so why work with the enemy?

I'm willing to bet that this was their only chance to get any kind of vote on electoral reform even considered and they let it go. That's the way the cookie crumbles I guess.

It's better to be hopeful about the situation than to immediately damn it all to hell like the majority of people in this thread seem to be doing.

If by the end of this year, it all fails, then fine. I admit my hopes were let down. But he's only been in office for less than an hour, and yet everyone is pronouncing this country as dead as...something dead.
Tories are like sharks to people - you learn to stay away from them and history has shown the damage they can do. It's a natural feeling to have.

But...but, I'm not a shark supporter. :lol

And I'm fairly certain my mate's dad isn't a shark in disguise either.

I think the guy outside Lib Dem HQ can put his sign down now, it's a bit too late to be asking if we want 'a rotten conservative government'.

Also, Laws statement incoming soon!

I'd like to know the full extent of the deals between the Lib Dems and the Conservatives...

The two I know:

-Our Pension money used for the Bullingdon boys club insurance under-writings
-Our faces will be raped
- We are all going to die

Well, why do you think Alex Salmon and Nicola Sturgeon dislike Tories?

Exactly.

Some of the cabinet appointments are starting to leak. According to Sky, Vincent Cable will be chief secretary to the Treasury, David Laws will be education secretary, Andrew Lansley will be health secretary and William Hague will be foreign secretary.

Erm, these are the important questions here

Do you think David Cameron gets new bedsheets?

Did Gordon empty the fridge before he left?

Has Gordon cancelled his Sky and Broadband?

Has he advised his bank and royal mail of his change of address?

So many unanswered questions.....

I think a UV light may be required, just in case.

I can't believe Osborne is Chancellor. Forget differing political views, The City hate him because they think he's so incompetent. The guy can't form economic policy for shit. He'll be out within a year.

For someone with the smallest percentage of the vote, Clegg has fucked Cameron pretty hard.

It will have been a small price to have paid if the Conservatives win the referendum and we don't get AV.

Alex Salmond is talking up Scottish indepenance again.

I do have to wonder how much this will affect that. 85% of people in Scotland didn't vote for either of these parties.

Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't do much. Cable basically does everything, Osborne takes credit for the good, blames Cable for the bad.

Would it be true to say that there was a brief moment between Brown's resignation and Cameron's visit to the queen when Harriet Harman was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom?

Probably, just wishful thinking :(

Bloody BBC; "Let's interrupt the informative bit from this reporter with a video of Cameron and his wife walking to their car!"

It's certainly not over yet.

"Guys we have an opportunity to have some power! Some of our policies will go through! We'll no longer be mocked as the minor party! We can laugh at Labour in the Commons! Or we could not if you don't wanna and just carry on as we have been for the past 20 years."
