So, does the anti-ConDem resistance start now? Fucking Lib Dem traitors. :(

:lol

Seriously though. Lib Dem supporters are a relatively small but passionate group. This will no doubt hurt their chances for the next election.
Labour, in the irony of it all, is taking a strong preparation for the next election.

Just to let you guys know, if I ever become a british citizen. I'm going labour.

Best thing for Labour, rebuild and become stronger. 13 years is not a bad run.

You're already British in our eyes :)

The arrangements for the coalition aren't cleared yet, if they take the edge off the horrible tory cuts then we'll be fine

it's a betrayal, nothing more. Millions of Lib Dem voters didn't expect to see a coallition with the fucking toffs on the table. Fuck it, Nick Clegg has destroyed the Liberal Democrat party.

Oh, and thread title remains accurate.

Ugh, Nick Robinson.

Already complaining that Clegg will be Deputy PM. He wants all the important stuff for the Tories.

(It should have been no surprise to him that Clegg would be Deputy. It is typical to give that job to the minor partner in coalitions).

Awesome, Clegg now confirmed to be deputy PM.

Now we just have to hope Boulton was right about Cameron having shades of JFK.

Seriously, they got more than they could have ever dreamt of. It was an offer they couldn't refuse.

Yeah, and all they had to do was abandon themselves and ally with a party that is the ideological opposite of everything progressive.

"When I looked into his eyes, I saw three letters: K.G.B"

Returning from Hong Kong he visited Moscow and a Yalta beach in the Soviet Union, and was at one point approached by two Russian men speaking fluent English. Cameron was later told by one of his professors that it was 'definitely an attempt' by the KGB to recruit him.[27]

DOOMED :lol

Boulton is a corporate hack. So I'm sure that's pure fiction. But okay I'll play along... who gets to be Marilyn Monroe?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but did Labour just basically say to themselves, "Fuck chasing after parties to form a coalition. Let brown go now, concentrate on new Leadership, and then sit back and watch the cracks slowly appear in the ConLib alliance."

Seems the Lib Dems got themselves quite the deal anyway! :lol

urgh. I actually felt sick seeing Cameron walk in to No 10. I think I might become one of those losers who campaigns for politicians in the next election.

Yes.

But this ConLib alliance is good but it seems they got a bit too good of a deal seen as they did come third.

Basically. They decided that instead of representing and standing up for their constituents who didn't want to see the tories in power, instead of being forced to make unpopular choices and work hard, in trying the hardest to get a 'progressive coalition' going, they'd rather boost their own careers and position themselves better politically for the next election. They deserve nothing but contempt.
