I independently recognise that Nick Clegg hasnt got anything other to say then "these two are the same, we are different".

The waffle has gotten really tiring Nick.

The thing is, if you get rid of benefits, that can trap people in poverty, as happens very often in the United States. The other side is of course, people can choose not to work. There's less social stigma now about just taking benefit rather than working, either that or the bastards just don't care. You can't force people to work, that would be the Soviet Union.
yyeah but no one actually wants to advocate benefits cause middle classers and daily mail readers lto go crazy.

I independently recognise that David Cameron has nothing new to say except the same old Tory bullshit from the Thatcher days. I also recognise that his aim is to destroy most of the country north of Grantham. Except the M1.

Which will just curl back down South anyway.

I would think the immigrant would seek to prove this if he walked into the police station or wherever to submit to the amnesty. Otherwise he'd be deported. His evidence would be scrutenised, he'd get community service, he'd pay tax. Seems fair enough to me.

Sure I think it sounds fair to, Im just wondering what proof someone would have to say they've been here for 10 years.

:lol 2.5 million people making wind turbines in factorys for 60 quid a week.

After having fun blowing them up in JC2, put me down for a turbine on November 5th. Fuck the bonfire, I'm going green and getting scroungers off the dole at the same time.

Clegg is making sense. labour already have a system for people on long term benefit that pushes them towards part-time/low hours work. It helps the books and looks like less people are unemployed and it helps people to learn the value of work.

Problem is, what Clegg said, with all the taxes and the possibilty of housing benefit being pulled from under you balancing on a piece of string, it just isn't worth it to them. Cleggs tax breaks for these people would be a big plus imo.

Point taken, I don't know what they'd do either to prove it. But again, like I said before, how can you find these people in the first place? It's an immesely difficult question to solve, which is why most politicians don't address it.

Is this like the thing that if you copy what someone is doing then eventually you can start leading them? Saw it on Derren Brown once.

Nick Clegg is trying to control Gordon

Mirroring indeed.

Like Oddworld. Brown's not far from running back and forth, yelling "Help!" in a croaky voice.

I'd love to know how all 3 of them intend to cut the benefits of those that will not work. Are they going to let them starve? Where will the money for the additional policing necessary to deal with the resulting crime come from? Will the children of a household with 0 income be taken in by social services? At what cost? Will the properties that these people occupy be seized given that presumably housing benefit will also be cut?

Don't get me wrong, I love the idea but I don't see how it can practically be done. The feckless have us hostage.

Guess its the fear of no free money forcing them to accept that job they can do.

I love this. Cameron going on about 'being positive' and 'not scaring people'. Has he not been reading the papers for the last two weeks? Ken Clarke?

Cameron keeps saying how terrible the last 13 years have been. Really? Apart from a global recession it's been pretty damn good in my opinion.

But 'no free money' simply isn't going to work in the real world for the reasons I listed above. How can you have a functioning household with 0 income?

He's staying positive, do you not know how terrible it's been? Especially in comparison to the tranquil Thatcher years.

Can someone please montage Clegg waving his hands from either side and Brown with his shit eating grins?

Well thats what I'm saying, the Government will be heavily relying on scaring that household into working with the threat of no more benefits. However, like you said, how they actually reinforce that is anyones guess. As soon as they don't follow through everyone will know about it and it'll have no legs to stand on.

Cameron says he's frightening people. Again. Twat.
Cameron's not frightening people.

THE HUNG PARLIAMENT PARTY.

Except that. He's not frightening people.

...he has the papers to do that for him.

So who won and lost this one?
I reckon it'll be Cameron, Clegg, Brown this time. Ol' shiny face seems to be hitting the mark with his peeps (I assume, not being one of his peeps).

I reckon so. I might be wrong, they might be callous enough to just cut off funding (I sure would) but I can't see it. Only time will tell I guess.
