11.00pm: Earlier I quoted a tweet saying that Alastair Campbell had been overheard telling someone: "We've had it." Apparently, he was not referring to Labour. This is from the Tory head of press, Henry Macrory, on Twitter.

Great spinning by Alastair Campbell. Says 'we've had it' comment was referring to Burnley FC !!!!!!!

:lol :lol :lol

I think it was a pretty obvious polling result really. Not because of the debates, but because as we get closer to the election, more and more people make up their minds on who they're voting for, and this is represented in these polls. No one can entirely divorce their own views of what they think is right and wrong from "who won the debate", because if one person's saying things you agree with, vs 2 who aren't, it doesn't really matter how bad their delivery it.

Incidentally, the Office of National Statistics suggest that it's 31%, and not 80%, of our immigration that comes from the EU. Sorry, Nick.

I'm not sure on the specifics of how it will happen, but basically, in a nutshell, the world will end.

Step 1. He comes for our child tax benefits

Step 2. He comes for our jobs tax

Step 3. profit

then the world ends

FabCam - No one person/government led us into a recession, if you observe the economic debate Clegg nor Cameron brought it up against Brown.

Janet Street Porter talking bullshit as usual.

There has been debate in Scotland for 20 years?!

Colour TV, coming to a home near you in 2015!

Edit: I should probably clarify, I'm commenting on the SNP guy from question time. Nothing against Scotland personally :)

If Cameron wins, all will be right in the world again. I'll be voting for him, anyway.

if you're white, you're alright...
If you're brown, turn around
If you're black, go back.

the economy will probably turn to shit, and whoever wins next election is gonna probably have to clean that shit up, just like Obama is cleaning up

I just thought, we may have actually predicted the future here. Think about it!

A Cameron Lead UK

Year 1

Years 2-4

Year 5 - Possible chance Cameron could lose.

David Dimbleby unleashed on Question Time is a beautiful sight.
Indeed.

It would've been interesting if like Salmond said Dimbleby would've been allowed to go all out during the debate.

According to an article for the guardian today, apparently both George Osborne (surprisingly) and Vince Cable came out quite well in the operation black vote rally despite a shaky start. Whereas Harriet Harman, after 13 years of Labour taking the black vote for granted, came out quite badly.

Hopefully this means that the end of identity politics is nigh.

No wai. Labour have effectively fucked everything up in the past term.

Anyway it looks like we're in for a good 4 years of Conservative lead, so yeah. Unless I'm reading the wrong sources.

Right, so after these recent results in polls. How's it looking for those of us hoping for a hung parliament?

Voting in a inward-looking, right wing based party in a centre-left country is doing it wrong.

Can't stand Labour but I can still see why some would vote for them. I think you're half right, we probably are in for four years of Conservative lead. Not sure where the 'good' bit came from though ;)

Knowing me, I probably won't even vote. :lol

Uni deadline day on the 6th, which will probably take up the entire day. And who knows, the tories may well get in and then royally fuck things up. Nobody knows.

Still very likely. The Tories need to have a massive swing and one perceived debate victory won't help them as much as they need.

We are saved!

Glad May 6th is an easy day here. All the deadlines are nearer the end of the month. Nice masochistic day of voting and election night. I think I'm going to need some strong drinks...

Sweet. A hung parliament is really the only way to save the country of flawed men and policies.

There's a big article on Yahoo news from the AP IIRC about the Liberal Democrats and Clegg. The uninformed USA conservatives here really don't like him. It's so funny too because they have no idea about his policies or what he intends to do.

They just don't like the fact that he has the words liberal democrat and a similar message to Obama, or at least the article leads you to think that.

Blair can be a very convincing man when he wants to be. I am sure that a number of voters will be swayed by him. Especially now that it's so close to election day.

The British Public needs to wake up. If they want the truth, they should act like they can handle it. When the parties said they'd have to make massive cuts, the polls went down sharply.

Does it go something like this:

"...Clegg, 43, an atheist..."

Comments:
- HOLY MOTHER WHAT?! BOY SHOULDN'T LEAD SHIT.

- No nuclear weapons? They just got attacked by a volcano for crying out loud.

- Yellow is a douche color anyway.

I take it everyone has their cyanide pills at the ready for next Thursday? And keep some jelly babies handy for potential celebrations.

Just, uh, don't get those mixed up. Could get messy.

They really have gone bonkers if they think this will help them.

Yeah, but despite that he's still more popular and likable than the cunt parade of Brown, Balls and Mandelson.
