Comet have a 1000 employees? WTF?
Approximately 100 employees per item they have in stock.

Comet are a terrible company. They would be a good fit for GAME.
I live there, save yourself the effort, most of the stock has been repriced up now and there ain't too much left in Game, you may fare better in GameStation but don't hold your breath.
I went to my local Game again today but they had put the prices up too. What's worse is they couldn't even let me pre-order the Vita version of Disgaea 3, not because they aren't stocking it but because the option isn't even on the system. I doubt it is a game that will sell millions but this is why they're going bust, specialist game store my ass.
Doubt there'll be anything world shattering but I'm going to pop in to Cambridge centre and check out GAME and Gamestation again.
Out of curiosity, why are you preordering from them in the first place? It's going to be much more expensive.
Unless you have some store credit, in which case, preorder away!
WTF? PC games, in GAME??!?
Brera, get out today. Don't stay in for the weekend. =(
By the way can anyone recommend a good site to get lists of upcoming UK game releases? I used to use Game's site for that but obviously won't be able to any more.

Kind of. I'm deciding whether or not to trade in a game to them since they're giving the best price. I wanted a guarantee that I could actually pre-order the game first.
I wanted to buy this on a whim last night but id be buggered if i couldnt find it anywhere.
Neither of the blockbusters by me, 2 Asdas didnt even have it listed, neither did Sainsburys or Tescos. Ended up getting Mass Effect 3 instead.
Have ordered online now. Didnt want to wait
Is anyone going to actually play the games they got for stupidly cheap?
I got ZeldaH and Tetris DS for 48p each just because.

This is what life after GAME will be like, if you like buying games that aren't FIFA or Call of Duty.

I don't think there's anyone here who doesn't realise that (except for the guy you quoted of course, nobody else would expect supermarkets to have anything other than chart titles) and I agree that it sucks, but the reality of it is: what can you do about it? At this point it doesn't seem like GAME can be saved, even with crazy folks like Brera pumping cash into its stock.
From the Asura's Wrath thread, but relevant:

Fair enough, you given Amazon's trade in service a try? People usually forget that you can trade in games to them.
They may give a better price.
As you can see from this map, Grainger Games is very much a northan/north midlands thingI am reading that many people will have to rely on supermarkets to buy games if Game close, but do you people not live near a Grainger Games, it might just be me living in the north east but I know of at least 2 in the area.

You legend, just saved me a wasted journey!
Play it is!
