Yeah, my brother has a slew of law exams all week, day after day, two more next week too. Stressful times, even I'm drowning in my petty schoolwork ATM.
I honestly don't think I'll have time to play Marvel continuously again until April after my semester ends :| Maybe then I can at least get into the groove and start practicing for Toryuken though, I've got a long road ahead though.

Life has been keeping me from leveling up in this game something crazy. I'm a pretty fast learner when it comes to fighters, but yea. Life gives no fucks when it wants to throw a monkey wrench in things. >:/
Yea time has not been on my side. I'm still trying to grind away every chance I get.

don't recall the damage I can do, but it is decent. Air combo to relaunch air combo does ok, not great. Have you done his Mission combos?

go through the mission mode, find a character you can play, and play well my warrior..
do you want to play for fun mashing buttons and stuff or do you wanna be some what competitive?
also pick the guide which is really good.
for now just pick LMHS type characters and play training mode with random block on, so you can practice how to stay cool once you land a hit.

The interview with CJ was pretty awesome. You can tell he loves the game. Mags in mid-tier is definitely mystifying though.

Remember to use assists to cover your advance/defense. Choose assists to compliment your characters weaknesses.
The AI is pretty predictable on normal, it will teeter between not blocking and just standing there and going full out offense back and forth. So try to snoop those moments out.
Learn how to control space, when to throw something out to let the AI know to get back when you need some space.
The AI is stupid and doesn't know how to deal with armor, so use characters that have armor on some of their moves like Sent's cr.M and Hulk's standing H, etc.
Pick Wesker on anchor (your last character), push random buttons, win.
My main combo starting with Formation B does about 430-460k meterless depending on the first hit, and my non-Formation B combo does about 350-370k depending on the starter. I tend to go for meterless combos into resets, since Legion doesn't do enough damage and Strider's combos don't build enough meter to justify spending the bar. Usually, I go for resets with Formation A1 > Teleport L or M after a hard knockdown. It's really ambiguous, and I haven't had anyone block it successfully.

If your really dead set on getting competitive, the official game guide is good recommendation. Great piece of literature right there. I'd recommend the team building guide in the OP as a good read for a beginner to get you thinking.

Wait hold on now. We're talking about how "good" someone's execution is in this game when nearly every combo is the easiest thing in the world? Ok fine we'll play by your genius rules. My optimal Thor combo has 2 DPs and an RDP I guess that's way harder than anything any of your characters have to do.
So what? Do SRKs impress you or something?

i recommend reading maj's footsie handbook since im betting you are kinda new to fighting games its better that you learn really well all of your fundamentals. since they are and always will be the most important aspect of every fighting game out there.
also getting a partner at your level does wonders since you can level up both and compete with each other to see who is the best. Join lobbies, get wrecked learn what you did wrong.
combos are the least important thing right now since they actually dont matter if you can never touch a dude.
Domination 101 by Seth Killian is a really good read for understanding mentally and improving your mental game.
you also would want to read David Sirlin's Playing to Win book (its free online) as it covers a lot of the things covered in domination 101 with another point of view.

At least I know that you can comprehend you know how to press more than one button a time if you have to do an srk motion. Otherwise, I just imagine Panda sitting there looking at his controllers pressing aaa, bbbb, cccc, ssss, aaaa, bbbb, cccc, ssss, qcb + abababababab and looking up at the screen and clapping his hands wildly at the big damage he did.

See normally in Marvel you go 1 on 1 and you've got a 50/50 chance of winning. But I'm Professor Beef, and I'm not normal, so you've got a 25% chance at best of beating me. And then you add Degen to the mix? Your chances of winning drastically go down.
See, between me/Panda/Degen, you have a 33 1/3 chance of winning. But I...I got a 66 2/3 chance of winning because Degen KNOWS he can't beat me, so he's not even going to try. So Panda, you take your 33 1/3 chance and minus my 25% chance, you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning tomorrow. But then you take my 75% chance of winning (if we was to go 1 on 1) and then add 66 2/3 percents...I got a 141 2/3 chance of winning at Sacrifice.

think of it this way, when two forces crash they destroy each other, just cruise around zero and throw stuff at the screen (smartly) don try to shoot him, shoot his surroundings, he will slowly but surely die cause of him being reckless

When I say touch him, I mean seriously touch him with anything. What am I supposed to hit him with? Crescent shot, crescent shot, task assist, crescent shot, etc. IF I can get him on the ground (which isn't likely since he has no reason to be scared to go into the air). Spacing is impeccable.

Captain America is just really easy to play now and you can do solid damage with easy mode combos. Plus he goes through zoning like a hot knife through butter. Cap + Sentinel was a patented combination and he USED to be played with an OTG assist but now he doesn't need it anymore.
Sentinel = Armor, easy mode damage, easy mode hit confirms and Drones
