Since Gamersyde has not yet uploaded any of the NYCC MvC3 trailers, does anyone know of another source from which to download the trailers in 60 FPS HQ?

Oh and Wolverine's got the biggest case of blueballs in the entire series. Turned down by Jean, Silver Fox, Yuriko, and even in an alternate dystopian future where he's married to Storm he ends up on a mission to fix the future which brings everything to the normal timeline where they're just friends. Logan can't catch a break at all.

I'll be using a tablet and stuff on it over the next several days and cleaning up any errors and proportional problems I find in it.
Thought you guys would get a laugh out of this.

I love all the little stuff like Gene walking away frurstrated from the table, Captain Commando's intrigued expression, Psylocke just chilling and Venom being a total creeper haha.
Ooh, you should draw a hype train!shaowebb said:Especially since he's on a poster, but not on the card list currently
Thanks for the praise. I'll likely be doodling more often now unless my digital illustration assignments start raping my time or something. Hype train is go.

I really really need to get my hands on the anniversary collection and the Megaman X collection already.

Maybe the real reason there is no PC version is because Capcom doesn't want crazy fans putting Megaman into the game, lol.Dahbomb said:Yeah I saw that MMX movelist... that's some insane stuff right there (guy said he worked on it for 1 and a half week 0_0).

I'm still kinda shocked they decided to bring over SFxT instead of UMVC3 to the PC...
Maybe Ono is behind it...
Well, if the interim theory fighter asks, I might as well. Keep in mind that I don't know much if anything about the new characters' hitboxes and frame data, and I don't know nearly enough about the properties of their moves or how well they DHC or combo after throws or how much damage they do in a typical combo or how easily they can create those openings with and without different assists. That said, these ratings are going to be worthless, but also probably not too surprising.Dahbomb said:OOOOHHH SHIIITTT GOD'S BEARD UNBANNED!!!!
Rate new characters in terms of top-tierness please (God's Beard only... new revealed characters only).
Also another announcement... I will be UNABLE to make the OT for UMVC3 anytime future. Enzo has to bear the burden for it this time.

Strange looks good but maybe you missed on the impressions of Strange where they said a ton of his normals are really unsafe/bad. Also he is entirely set up based and I don't know about super mobility all he has is a teleport (although a really good). I don't deny he is high tier though but not looking top tier until he is fully explored.[*](high tier)Dr Strange - He's super mobile, has an array of clearly effective zoning and punishing techniques, a tracking hyper that will DHC from every character, and at least 2 extremely strong assists. I don't see anything keeping Strange from being one of the best anchors in Ultimate.
Well you pretty much highlighted a fraction of why I believe Firebrand to be SO good in this game. Pretty much going to be slept on until someone starts wrecking with him. Dive kick, annoying mobility, a utility hyper during which he can build meter, plus that pseudo-firebottle assist... so good. Contender for top tier status.[*](high tier)Firebrand - His unpredictable air mobility is unique among the entire cast, and he attacks from angles that can be extremely difficult to punish. He can change sides with relative ease, and he has a speed up hyper that doesn't stop him from building meter. I'm sure a good team construction could mean punish super->gargoyle mode and get most of your meter back. Firebrand is going to be a strong character in any position that will frustrate your opponent into submission at little risk to yourself.
I see Hawkeye and Taskmaster as Akuma vs Ryu (new one). If someone masters the toolset of Hawkeye they are going to be pretty damn good where as most people will get by on Hawkeye using the standard stuff. Agreed that he's high tier, he's way too solid to be anything lower.[*](high tier)Hawkeye - Mobile, great zoning, great assists, great punish hyper and great mental pressure are going to make Hawkeye one of the go to characters for a long time.
I think Ouroborus is too powerful to sleep on and he has a very good set of tools to him to play different match ups. Plus he has one of the best mix up games in UMVC3 plus at least a couple great assists. Probably going to take some time before people get solid with him but he's a legit threat. I have him at least in high tier with the potential to be the best in the game if his potential is unlocked.[*](upper-mid tier)Strider - Great mixups and mobility and a great assist, but not the safest character in the world, move- and meter-wise. It's really going to depend on you to decide whether he's worth a spot on your team, and the stress he'll cause both players whenever he's on screen.
I was down with Nemesis but recently I heard that his assists don't actually have super armor anymore. Now I am not... what does he bring to the table? He's like tankier Skrull to me with his long ranged command grabs and a lot of his stuff is super unsafe. I am hoping there was a mistake on testing him at NYCC because if his assists aren't good there is going to be little reason to play him on a team or to build a team around him. Dude is still a tank in every definition of the word. He's currently in my Mid tier.[*](upper-mid tier)Nemesis - I have a lot of interest in Nemesis. He's a high health character with a lot of fullscreen moves, he's got an anti-air command grab, a lvl3 command grab and a shit ton of super armor. With a good anti-zoning assist, I can see Nemesis killing more than just STARS members. Remember what I said about punish hyper DHC into Gargoyle mode? Nemmy's punch hyper has retarded advantage on that last hit.
MID TIER LULZ? I think he's top 3 in the game and a lot of people seem to think that too. On the ground it is almost impossible to contest him and his anti-air game appears to be one of the best. 3 way tracking teleport, super ranged attacks, free infinite blockstring, great air throw game, full screen poke that converts into full combos or safe moves, full screen Berserker Slash that can be comboed into, projectiles for space control and solid combos in terms of damage and meter building. It's only a matter of unlocking the potential in his SS when he hits that top tier level. Also his Rapid Slash assist is of great utility for fellow teleporter characters. The way I see it Vergil is a good character without meter, excellent character with some meter and godlike with a ton of meter. In terms of just plain fundamentals, Vergil edges out all the newer characters and is going to be the most used of the newer characters from a competitive angle (in the first month of course after that it's anyone's game).[*](mid tier)Vergil - 3 lvl 1 hypers, 2 lvl 2 hypers and a lvl 4 hyper. Vergil is probably THE most meter-hungry character in the game, and that's probably not a good thing. He has really good mixups and a ton of range on his moves, but being a meter vampire is going to keep him off a lot of teams. I'm most curious to see if his judgement cut assist is an effective alpha counter, but that would only serve to make him more meter-dependent. Still, Vergil with meter is going to be a hellish demon on a time limit. Devil Trigger + Summoned swords to open up, combo into lvl 3 is gonna fuck up peoples' days.
To me his LVL3 isn't even that impressive because once you are in his 3rd stance your normal combos will finish them up anyway as he has massive priority and damage in that stance. My problem is that he doesn't have the mobility or mix ups to land that hit to activate his stance. He requires a lockdown assist to be effective and can't be played at any position except point. I think he's probably mid tier even if people get his stance fast he can be zoned out with some care.[*](mid tier)Phoenix Wright - He's got pretty decent zoning moves, the time to pick up evidence isn't bad, his Jojo's-esque specials with Maya are pretty cool. Everything about Phoenix seems like it's effective, but not awesome. Good, but not great. Then out of nowhere he has a lvl 3 that does 600k unscaled damage. Holy what the fuck.
Ghost Rider does have some chip damage through pretty much all his specials do chip (Yoga flame does quite a bit). His Heartless Spire is fucking godlike (especially as an assist) which means that anyone who can't instantly appear behind him is going to have a tough time against him because this move is so spam friendly. Just on the strength on his assist, I have to put him at around Akuma tier.[*](lower-mid tier)Ghost Rider - With no mixups and no chip damage, Dhalsim is going to be a weird character. The wallbounce beam assist may or may not be great, his max range pressure is great but he needs to be at mid range to confirm into combos which is a risk. He might turn out to be a solid lockdown character if you're comfortable with placing the brunt of your strategy on an assist like Strider's teleport or doom missiles, assuming your opponent can't teleport or doesn't have invincible supers or better fullscreen options. Assuming that.
Yeah I am not down with Iron Fist at all but I really don't know much about him. There might be some potential in his Blue Chi nullifying projectiles and his air throw game might be pretty good at dealing with Up/Back block but everything about him screams "mid" tier to me at best. His assists are pretty good though. His moves do have decent priority, do block damage but he lacks moves to negate advance guard. I also need to find out of his QCF+H move actually crosses up because that's a game changer for him.[*](low tier)Iron Fist - Fist's greatest weakness is the easiest defensive technique in the game: holding up back. Unless the dragon kick has MASSIVE frame advantage or you have a really, really good assist for holding down opponents, Iron Fist is gonna have a lot of problems in basically every matchup.
Just speaking of fundamentals, Nova is the 2nd strongest just behind Vergil. The problem with Nova is that there isn't anything on him that is "OMFG that character is broke" but everything he has is solid. Solid mix ups, mobility, damage, health, normals, air throw/ground throw game, specials, hypers. He has essentially 3 gimmicks to him that would probably define him: Energy Javelin, Gravimetric Pulse (mini-Aegis Reflector) and burning red health for damage. It's possible that he can create forced mix ups using a combination of G. Pulse and Javelin. Plus there is know info on the utility on G Pulse as an assist, people say it's good for zoning teams (guy who was using Nova said he worked well with Chris due to Pulse plus Grenades set ups). The impressions at NYCC said that quite a bit of his specials are safe but some aren't. I think he is probably touching bottom of High tier or Upper mid at this point but would probably move up. Like Vergil, he's probably going to be tournament ready fairly quickly because players will ride on his fundamental strengths.[*](??? tier)Captain Falcon - The thing about Nova is that he seems like a pretty well-rounded rushdown character without any real gimmicks. The things that make a character like that good or bad are the little specifics you can't really tell from short gameplay videos or a couple hours of playtime. It's going to come down to how much recovery his javelin has, how many frames his aegis reflector gets, the sort of properties his rushes have(do they beat projectiles?), etc. It seems to me that he's designed to sit back in assist position and build up red health with his power supers and safe tag outs, but I have no real idea how effective his assists are and if they're enough to warrant his use, especially with one assist already being taken out for being too strong. He's an enigma right now.
