Uncharted 4 to kick off PlayStation Experience keyknote

That E3 Uncharted 2 demo was one for the history books for sure. Can't wait to see what they have in store. Now we get to see what the PS4 is really made off.

The graphics will undoubtedly be amazing.

I'm just hoping to god they actually have interesting gameplay to show, and not the boring garbage from UC 1-3. The series would be god-tier if NaughtyDog made the games remotely interesting to play.

Boring garbage is certainly an... interesting way of treating some of the best games of last gen, and arguably of all time (U2).

The terrible platforming and bullet sponge enemy waves that never end are like, the biggest complaints people have about the series.
Those are the complaints from people who want an open-world, exploration-heavy Uncharted title. But it's a shooter with traversal unlike most others, including the games that try to be Uncharted solely on scripted events and cutscenes alone.

How many bullets does it take to kill an enemy before you class them as bullet sponges? As far as I recall they die to one bullet if you shoot them in the head.

I have never heard anyone want an open world Uncharted game. What I want is a game with interesting shooting mechanics, decent enemy encounters, and platforming that isn't automatic crap.

When a game is as heavy on the shooting like the Uncharted series is, it's always nice to, you know, have interesting shooting mechanics and encounters.

The shooting is great, man. And the encounter design is superb. If you don't like it that's down to you. That's your opinion and fair enough but don't treat it like some universal truth. There's plenty shooters out there so I hope you find the right one for you soon.

So scripted encounters? Uncharted's MP is better gunplay than most on the market with it's traversal mechanic. It's not a shooting simulator.

Not sure where I said it was anything other than my opinion, but okay guy.

Those people are wrong. UC games have wonderful, satisfying gameplay, with the sole exception being puzzles in the first two games. In some ways I like shooting in UC games more than in TLOU because of how quick, dynamic and surrounding scenery-driven it is.

lol guys honestly don't even defend Uncharted, the series credentials speak for itself.

Anyways on topic completely stoked, they start off the PS Experience how they ended E3 and pick right back off from there.

Really not holding back with this.

I'm trying to do a media blackout with Uncharted 4, mainly because I think they gave away waaaaay too much with the Uncharted 3 demos and trailers. Not sure if I'll be able to resist though.

This is the first time I heard anyone complaining UC's enemies being bullet sponges, regular enemys dies to several shots and one headshot, armored guys dies to a magazine tops, three if you use shotgun. Are we playing the same game?
