Uncharted: The Lost Legacy |OT| Ladies Trip

Just finished it, I tend to play games quickly. My time was
7 hours, which seemed slow in comparison to others

Also I tried a bit of survival arena with a friend and we couldn't even beat light difficulty. Trying to collect 100 tokens was immensely difficult with just two people but we did it eventually only to give up on wave 3.

We also tried some moderate difficulty with a third random psn person but again it was far too hard. I feel like I must be missing a crucial element because it was that difficult.

Love almost everything here, but the melee in this game is fucking stupid.

Died about 10+ times to Asav now...

Same issue I had with Uc4's last boss, too.

Just got to chapter 6 and holy shit this is a good game so far. I preordered it and always get ND games day 1, but I hadn't really hyped myself up for it. Really blew away expectations.

Just finished, was excellent.
They keep improving on the convoy setpiece so i can't fault them for going back to it.
The whole last hour was incredible. The train!

I'll go back and start on Crushing in a few days.

Just finished it, and overall it was excellent. After Uc4, though, it can't help but feel a bit less fleshed out and kinda lacking. Also,
taking a similar final set piece to Uc2 knocked it down a notch or two, too. I get what they were doing with the callback and that's cool, but it did make it feel a bit less substantial comparatively.

I loved Chloe and Nadine, and hope they do get to star in a full Uncharted game. Also thought the addition of
Sam Drake was really cool. He added a lot to the dynamic.
.

I also wasn't totally on board with the open area. It was alright, but I hope it doesn't signal a change to where they're going. I thought it slowed things down and I just don't particularly want that in my Uncharted games. Also with this particular one I think that section was way too early. I kinda felt this game had more pacing problems because of that than Uc4 did.

Oh, the puzzles in this game felt better than other Uncharted games. Less braindead.

Overall, great game. I can't quite see how anyone really rates it above any other Uncharted, though. It was a good ride, but it felt a bit less overall in most ways. Understandable since it was just a $40 game compared to those.

Just finished Chapter 4. Spoilers up to that point below.

This is everything i have wanted from an Uncharted game since they announced uncharted 3 with a desert level tease. i have wanted to explore bigger areas, find optional dungeons, puzzles and platforming trials. Chapter 4 has all of this. I loved how i didnt have to look at my diary once. pretty much everything was based around physics and common sense. the platforming trial was simple but naughty dog finally understands what makes a good action adventure game. it's not walking or the auto climbing, it's the action and challenge that makes everything so fun.

i am blown away by the graphics. didnt think horizon could be topped but they might have done it. every chapter looks better than the last. chapter 5 made my jaw drop.

i dont even mind the lack of combat encounters. dont think i fought more than one combat encounter in the last two hours. it doesnt matter because the puzzles were challenging and incorporated action. loved the statue puzzles at the end of chapter 4.

I can tell that this game didnt perform as well as U4, but they cannot stop here. this so called B team of Naughty Dog knows what makes uncharted great more than the A team. give them another shot. maybe two years to make an action packed 10-12 hour game. bring in Sully, Cutter and maybe even Sam.

just one thing I want to know right now: does this game include any mp content? like are there gonna be new maps that come with the lost legacy?

Just finished and pretty floored by the final setpiece. Overall really enjoyed this. The start was a little slow for me but once it hit Chapter 4, never a dull moment for me. I like this more than Uncharted 4 in a lot of respects even though I didn't find the overall story as engaging. Chloe is great and I'm glad they picked her as the DLC lead.

It comes with Uncharted 4 multiplayer and a new co-op survival mode and unlockable weapons/gameplay/character add-ons.

While the story and spectacle aren't up to Uncharted's mainline standards, the gameplay really does shine.

The way they handled the open world is far superior to anything in UC4, which was essentially all window dressing. Here, there's actual content, and there's density to the open world, too (instead of just being 'open' for the sake of it). Felt like I was actually, finally, on a 'tomb raiding' type excursion, which I never really felt since the first game.

I feel like UC4 could have been a lot better if they retained the great story/production values/ set pieces mixed with around 6 or so 'open world' type areas with multiple objectives to accomplish before moving on.

Hopefully TLOU2 takes this concept and expands on it greatly, because it's a step in the right direction IMO.

Naughty Dog is really
hitting it out of the park with these feel-good, upbeat endings in this and Uncharted 4.

EDIT: Really sorry for anyone that saw that. Didn't realize I wasn't in the spoiler thread.

I just downloaded this game on PSN. When I went into the store, it just said "Download", not Purchase. I clicked the button and it just immediately started downloading. When i checked my email it said I was charged $0.00.

Am I just missing something really obvious here? This game is not supposed to be free is it?

Did you own the UC4 Season Pass?

Either I have forgotten how great Horizon looks or Uncharted TLL has dethrone it for best graphics for me. I am incredibly excited what Naughty Dog will do for the Last of Us Part II.

Just finished. Definitely need Chloe and Nadine back for Uncharted 5 or whatever is next. Lost Legacy is a top 3 game in the series (not including GA)

the open world stuff will be really divisive, some people just don't want that element in Uncharted series. even for me I'm mixed about it, I like it, but even I have to admit that I'm spending 3 hours with no story progression and there are times I thought about just move on to the main story. it really hurt the story pacing especially since you can't backtrack in Uncharted games like you can in Tomb Raider reboot.

I'm okay with Lost Legacy since it's only 1 chapter like that. a whole new Uncharted games where there are 5-6 open world hub like that is too much I think.

Started this game tonight ..

Damn that open-world design .... so good , so overwhelming

But this game's beautifull.

So beautifull my PS4 pro fans are going full speed

TLOU2 must NOT having an open world component.

Looked up the answer for the
shadow
puzzle. Just wasn't having fun trying to figure it out.

The
attacking statues
puzzle from the earlier chapter was awesome though.

Lol in Chapter 5:
Jumped in the water just to see if it'd lead to a death or not,
ended up getting a nice little moment and a trophy.

Crushing + all collectables done. Took me about 6 hours, which is about 30 minutes less than my normal play through, which kinda surprised me. Only really one difficult fight towards the end I got stock on though.

I really bloody like this game. Might even be my GOTY now, have to sit on it for awhile.

Is there no way to get the Jak free bonus from this game after launch?

Why? If anything it lends itself more to TLOU's world.

Because open world makes the game lose direction and urgency. While chapter 4 is better than the open world section in Uncharted 4, it's still not amazing content, not by a long shot. The puzzles, combat and climbing is totally fine so far, making the player drive there is completely unnecessary.
The only net positive are the great looking vistas.

Yoooooooooooooo. This game is now tied with U2 for me in terms of the best in the series. Ill elaborate on my thoughts later but this was quite the ride and may be my game of the year in 2017 (HZD and RE VII are up there).

I need the chloe LL skin for mp :(

In U4 i would have said the same thing but here it' was fantastic imo. It really lends itself to the exploration side of things. especially not having a mini map and having to pull out a paper map to direct yourself.

felt like proper world building.

Finished it earlier tonight on normal, clocking in at 7 hours 20 minutes. Good fun and probably my second favourite of the series behind UC4.

Did anyone else get really bad frame rate problems during the
train chase
stuff? It got so bad I had to restart and after that it didnt show up again. Weird.

Yes, i did. I thought it might have been my PS4 dying, good to see i'm not the only one. It actually got better again after 10-15 seconds, but it really had me worried for a while. It was the first time i've seen something like that in a ND game.

Also I think Chloe and Nadine killed more enemies in this game than Nate did combined in a couple of his games. The final chapter was basically an entire army. I don't think there's any dirtbikes or jeeps left in their world. No urge to ever replay this. Sits right there with Uncharted 1 in terms of how good it was. Which is pretty average.

Nah, my stats say i killed around 360 enemies in this game. I don't know about U4, but i'm pretty sure i killed around 700-800 enemies per playthrough in the previous ones.

Edit: My estimate was a bit on the high side, this video says the kill counts for U1-U3 are:

U:DF - 610
U2 - 674
U3 - 545

Not that 360 kills is a small number, but still significantly less than Nate killed in any one of the ND games (although U4 might have an even smaller kill count than U3).

I'm with you, jaw dropping graphics in this on several occasions. Couple that with the biggest play areas for the Uncharted series and ND has done some serious witchcraft once again.

I'm still on my first playthrough and I'm on crushing but there's a certain section in Chapter 6 which has been frustrating me for hours now. Is it worth it to lower the difficulty and do crushing in another playthrough, assuming, like previous Uncharted games, there are cheats I can use that won't disable the trophy?

Chapter-based and you can use cheats like UC4.

Yep, can give yourself Unlimited ammo and any weapon and still get trophies.

By the reaction on this thread, I'm convinced reviewers are full of crap and just review games based on hype. Sounds like it might be the best one in the series.

Finished this last night, probably right up there with UC2 as my favorite of the series. Absolutely gorgeous game to boot!
