*UNMARKED SPOILERS ALL BOOKS* Game of Thrones |OT| - Season 5 Offseason Thread

Anyone else thinks that they might compress book 4 and 5 into a single season?

It's happening. Everything says so, from casting to common sense. The bulk of 4 and 5's plotlines will be finished with come 5.10.

No, why would they do that? If anything they'll be looking to stretch both.

Stretch out the content from book 4 and 5, when they're at least halfway through the entire runtime of the show. Makes sense.

Well if that's the case I totally forgot.

I was about to say they weren't but then I realized my confusion. "wherever whores go" is what he says right before he gets shot. His last words are "you re no son of mine" to which tyrion disagrees then tells him to die, which he does."

Where does Brienne think she is going to take Arya? She hasnt met Stoneheart for her to take her there so what is she going to do? I dont remember much from her chapters but it makes no sense why arya would go with her

Man the theory with the cgi shot from weirwood bran, to jon, to rickon, to sansa, to arya and then the LSH reveal while "the Children" ost is playing sounds soooo good. (propably too good :/

But everyone who says Book 4 and 5 will be cut to one season.... Yeah. Not.
It will probably take 1,5 to 1,75 Seaons.
they will combine all the Storys from book 4 and 5 and have something for the season 5 finale. Season 6 will be the rest. AND THEN we get Episode 9 Material from the Cliffhangers of Dance. Season 6 episode 9 could be the second Battle for Mereen, Dany burning Yunkais Army with Drogon. etc.
Maybe even the battle for Winterfell. (but I am on the side that says, there was no battle, perhaps a skirmish between Karstark and Stannis, after the banker told Stannis that karstark is a traitor.

If Book 4 and 5 is only 1 season, do you guys know what that would do to the budget of season 6, after the massive Cliffhangers of Book 5?
They can balance the budget better, when the Aftermath of the book 5 Cliffhangers was spread over 2 seasons.

That last bit is one of my favourite lines. When Tyrion disagrees and says, "I believe I am you, writ small.." So good.

And the only living person that knows is Howland Reed, High Septon.

Also some Daynes might know?

Apparently so does Sean Bean

There are so many things I could have said, because there is a love there between the two of them, but I can’t express it as overtly as I can with the other children, who I can hold and kiss. Even if I were his true father, I can’t talk about it for fear of offending my wife, who’s really bitter about this.

where is this stated?

It all goes back to the Tower of Joy, which is supposedly (definitely) where Lyanna gave birth to Jon and entrusted him to Ned. The only people who walked away from the Tower of Joy alive are Ned and Howland, and, well, things went poorly for Ned.

Man I could give a rats ass about stoneheart, I understand why people are hoping she's in but I just hated catelyn so never cared much about stoneheart. Also LSH is such a lame as fuck name.

I just wanna see what the makeup/effects team can do with her, haha. I really want to see the big slice through her throat, the white, stiff hair, and the scratches on her face (although she didn't do that in the show, maybe they can make some excuse for them happening postmortem?) She could really look like a huge badass if they do it right.

I wonder how they're going to bring Jon's parentage back into the forefront on the show. It's kind of forgotten. To show watchers he is Ned's bastard and nothing more. They've forgotten about it.

Is a character going to just be like "hey...so who were your parents again"? Or maybe Melisandre will vaguely discuss it.

Yep. Bits of season 4, and all of season 5, with bits at the start of season 6.

Episode 9 will be the Walk of Punishment and Daznak's Pit-
we've got casting for both Yezzan and Septa Unella
- with at least one of the two big battles being heavily truncated, if not written out entirely.

How is George going to bring it back?

Does his parents really make much difference? It'd be a somewhat interesting scene, but by the point it comes out you can imagine just about everybody is gone.

So R+L are my parents? Huh... ok back to worrying about the White Walkers and being sort of dead.

Someone has pointed out to me that tomorrow's episode is airing on Father's Day.

I'd like to think they didn't skip Memorial day for Memorial day, but so Tyrion would kill Tywin on Father's Day.

If the theory is true he's the rightful king if westeros. Assuming the theory holds that rhaegar had married lyanna like other polygamous targs.

I always found the nights watch vows to be funny. Seems like a boyscouts thing. I feel like of Jon Snow found out he could get the throne or if he had any good reason really to leave he'd just be like peace out guys.

Dany is coming for the throne on the basis that she's the heir. She has a lot of self-righteous entitlement in her motive. If Jon is the heir that take the entire "I'm taking what is mine" angle out of her. She'd be another Renly, her only reason being she's strong enough to do it, not that she has any right to it.

That's going to affect her a lot.

Also the nightwatch vows says "It shall not end until my death", and when a NW person dies they hold a ceremony that says "and now his watch is ended". If they hold that ceremony for Jon he's released from his vows when he comes back.

It's also Arya's theme. And others.

Bran dream montage, baby!

I just can't wait to see Leaf and Bloodraven. Like, just how fucking cool will they make Bloodraven look? I hope it's similar to the painting on the wiki. The bran stuff is some of my most anticipated to see visually.

You guys are forgetting that there's still Aeg-... oh.

If Young Griff was the real Aegon (and Jon was in fact legitimized) he would come before Jon in the line of succession, right?

We're not going to see Stoneheart in the finale are we? Seems like there's way too much to fit in. I really want to see the brain explosions in the No Spoilers thread though, that's my guilty pleasure.

I'm betting the final shot will be Tyrion looking back at the room in the tower of the hand before disappearing into the secret passage.

im all caught up on the books but my retention is horrible so i apologize if this is noob'ish but regarding: euron = daario.... doesn't euron send victarian to seduce daenerys? did the show just send euron there instead to cut the fat? and the dragon horn is just gone altogether?

Dany sends Daario away to retake Yunkai (I think) so the theory is that because he's actually Euron, he goes back to the Iron Isles instead of Yunkai. He then sends Victarion to go bring Dany to him. (It's not actually confirmed that he actually IS Euron, though).

We don't know if they're adding Victarion, Euron, or the dragon horn, but I imaging that they will.
