I wonder who's going to play left back out of that group.
EDIT: Harrington, I guess?
EDIT: Harrington, I guess?
Sinovic >>> Harrington
It confounds me that Harrington gets to stay and Seth is coming back.
True. Harrington is incredibly mediocre. Like the rest of you I don't understand why Harrington or Alexander got called in.
Holden would be playing if he weren't injured. I don't think he'll be coming back to the MLS any time soon.
Klinsmann says he spoke to Fabian Johnson today. Had hand surgery, expects to play this weekend.
Klinsmann: It's more likely Jermaine Jones moves to another European team in next 4 days than to MLS.
Brek Shea has extended his loan to Barnsley:

per Grant Wahl, Stuart Holden has been cleared to join the USMNT in some of the training!!!
Whoa on that Stu Holden news.
I just saw the Holden news. I'm hoping that they're doing this on the off chance he'll be ready, so that they can bring him to the WC.

DEFENDERS (7) : Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders FC), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy), Clarence Goodson (San Jose Earthquakes), Michael Harrington (Portland Timbers), Michael Parkhurst (Columbus Crew), DeAndre Yedlin (Seattle Sounders FC)
MIDFIELDERS (8) : Eric Alexander (New York Red Bulls), Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Mix Diskerud (Rosenborg), Benny Feilhaber (Sporting Kansas City), Luis Gil (Real Salt Lake), Dax McCarty (New York Red Bulls), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)

Who would you pick? Who do you think Klinsmann is going to select?
Sunderland and Stoke are facing off today. Both Geoff Cameron and Altidore are playing.
At risk of crudely paraphrasing Charles Dickens, is this "the best of times [and] the worst of times" for American soccer?
While 2013 was the most successful year in United States men's national team history, the impression American players are making on the elite European game seems to be in reverse gear. After seasons of giddy promise in which Clint Dempsey plundered 23 goals in a Fulham jersey and the hard-charging Michael Bradley initially thrived in Serie A, a sensational reverse migration means we live a reality in which Stoke City's Geoff Cameron is the most successful U.S.-born outfield player in the elite leagues of Europe.
Rumor floating that Sunderland put in a bid for Geoff Cameron.
.Sciaretta said:Sources are telling me Sunderland did in fact approach Stoke about buying Geoff Cameron but it was declined. Cameron is happy at Stoke.
He just said that Parkhurst might play a bit at LB tomorrow.
Mine:

Tomorrow's game will be really interesting to watch. I'm really curious to see how some of these guys perform in a national team setting, even if it is just a friendly.

Anyone here going?
