Nope, but I'm not the one calling out the reviewer on being biased. I'll play the game before I can say I agree with it or not. It's an interesting review and based on what John (and other people) says I think this might be something for me.

I can pretty much guarantee that John spent more time playing this game before submitting his review than any of the other reviewers. Maybe because he gave it more thatn a casual glance, his review is more in line with what it should deserve.

Maybe if 1UP didn't overrate Xbox 360 games and underrate all the others all the time I'd believe that the score was fair and balanced but when you take into account 1UP's past Reviews and Shows it's difficult for someone to believe this. I'll give that though: Unlike the TeamXbox fanboys here who were quick to insult me and defend 1UP you actually were discussible.

Having played the game for many hours, I definitely agree that it's AT LEAST an 8.5 game. Simply put, it's an unique fantastic game. 1UP's review is very very spot on (and of good length too!)

Although I'm one of the few who thinks Rare was overrated, I was slightly intrigued when I saw the first screens of this game, when everybody else was still hating on it because it wasn't the sequel to some lame 3D platforming collectathon or vapid fighter that everybody wanted from Rare. And now, the game seems to be getting some nice reviews, and I finally have a 360... so consider this one bought. When I have a bit more time, that is... does this game require a good deal of time commitment?

You're really off base here. Davison, in a previous 1up yours podcast, along with the other personalities, slagged on Viva Pinata, laughing it off. At X05 1up's Luke Smith and I believe Editor-in-Chief Sam Kennedy were overhead talking over a Viva Pinata video and just SLAGGING it. You sound like your taking the review scores lately, personally.

I shouldn't get involved, but you do realise that there is a slim chance that people were not defending 1up but the game.

Reading the impressions in the official thread gives me feeling that this game actually could be worthy of a 9. GAF impressions are usually not the most uncritical ones if you know what I mean, so I trust them more than someone who is only here to attack a website and doesn't actually give a **** about the game in question.
