Sounds about right. My boyfriends to date have been met online, and have been psuedo-closeted to closeted.

There's an exciting sense of adventure when you date closeted guys. Many years since I dated one, but it is very.... interesting to say the least. It gives you a certain feeling of "exclusivity", since not only do you know your partner secrets; you're also having sex with him :P .

No we're not. *burps rainbows*

no doubt

I'm not gay, but I think I can do this anyways :D

Are you effeminate?

I think I am sometimes, but most of the time no, I'm just really energetic.

Do you like to act girly and are a gay guy?

I don't "like" to act girly, I think I just do sometimes. :| And no, I'm not.

How hard has your life been?

Uhm..not too hard. My dad went pretty crazy when I told him I was bi. My mom was fine with it. But my dad's sorta-okay with it now. Could be a lot worse.

Do you feel like you'll never find someone to love because most gay men have some fantasy about a super macho guy?

UHmmm I love someone!

Do you feel like you're hot shit and get laid all the time?

Sometimes.

Do you turn it off and on or is it active all the time?

wat?

Why the hate for effeminate, flamboyant or campy men?

I don't hate. I think they're awesome.

Excuse me why do you assume that people acting annoying just for the sake of being annoying is somehow harmless?

God, the defenders are crawling out of the woodwork. It's like I just declared I was a gay Republican or something.

Oh, goodness. I'm not too critical of the whole "straight-acting" thing because I can see where it comes from, but gay Republicans are just plain dumb.

Dear GayGaf, I admit my knowledge of the gay world is really limited so please excuse my ignorance in the following questions, I've just always wondered.

What do you guys think of women? Do you just have absolutely no interest in pussy what so ever? (I've spent about 5 minutes trying to rephrase this question to not sound so stupid, to no avail)
I can say a guy's a good looking guy. But when I notice it, it's in a self-conscious "he's better looking or better built, I'm a bit envious" kind of way. I don't get a "I need him in me/vice versa" feeling. Is that sort of how you guys feel toward attractive women?

Dumb question, I know.

More or less. I can recognize when a woman is attractive, since there are general socially held standards for feminine (and masculine) beauty that are fairly well agreed upon, even if there's no accounting for what individual people think is sexy. I don't get the self-conscious feeling of "she's better looking," mostly because I don't compare myself to women, though.

you want the truth? its homophobia for homos. Gay guys hate effeminate men because they blame us for all the slurs they have to put up with.

It's ok Zephy, the effeminate men probably don't like you too.
:lol

It's really pretty simple: getting ass drilled = good, getting ANWR drilled = good.

In all seriousness, liking people of the same sex has no bearing on your opinion of tax cuts, socialized medicine, or foreign policy

I'd identify as a libertarian, but one of the current bfs is a log cabin through and through :D

Not gay, but I do have to say I am extremely jealous of your bars and clubs. Better music, better dancefloor, WAY better dancers, usually stronger drinks, and generally cleaner.

Everyone seems to be in a 'gay' mood instead of standing around trying to act cooler than they are. Plus girls making out.

Are you effeminate?
Not particularly, I know some people figure it out, but mostly I just come off as a geeky white boy.

Do you like to act girly and are a gay guy?
I prefer just to be me, rather than anything else.

How hard has your life been?
If you're talking about out-life, once I got out of high school no one cares. I'm happy with myself, and there's no sense complaining.

Do you feel like you'll never find someone to love because most gay men have some fantasy about a super macho guy?
I've already found mah boy.

Do you feel like you're hot shit and get laid all the time?
Hot shit? No. Sexed? Who is in a relationship and DOESN'T get nookie?

Do you turn it off and on or is it active all the time?
See above.

Why the hate for effeminate, flamboyant or campy men?
I have no issues with them if they are mature and can hold a conversation, that's all I care about. Mannerisms are whatever, it's the person and id behind those mannerisms that counts.

Please, tell me more...
a/s/l whut u whearin tonite?
Couldn't help it. Sorry.

the gay club in my city is easily the cleanest and best priced out of all the big clubs. and it has a great layout and plays awesome music. AND yes there seems to be way less of the guys standing around looking for a fight like at a lot of clubs. everyone seems to be just having fun.

it's weird how that works.

Are you effeminate?
No, I've been working in security for the last decade, and nobody ever questioned my sexuality.

Do you like to act girly and are a gay guy?
No, I actually don't like girly stuff besides campy music.

How hard has your life been?
I was out at 16, was never with girls in the first place. I always liked way older guys. It was fine with my parents to go out with a 42yo guy when I was eighteen.

Do you feel like you'll never find someone to love because most gay men have some fantasy about a super macho guy?
Yeah, I worked in the military and security, and I want a nice daddy for me.

Do you feel like you're hot shit and get laid all the time?
No, and usually never. Basically I don't like to meet strangers.

Do you turn it off and on or is it active all the time?
I actually am treated for overmasturbation, so it's a tough phase.

Why the hate for effeminate, flamboyant or campy men?
Because I find it to be all fake, and it irritates me, I like guys, not women in disguise.

Please, tell me more...
If anyone's interested and is in Montréal, I would appreciate it lol.

Except for when you gotta pee. Then it's like a game of chance.

I'm not gay but I'm still special because:

I live in Utah and support gays 100% in every aspect. So there -- a shoutout to y'all, from the state that probably hates you the most. :D

How hard has your life been? Since coming out? Same old same old. For that, I'm grateful.

Do you feel like you'll never find someone to love because most gay men have some fantasy about a super macho guy? I'm not worried at all.

Do you feel like you're hot shit and get laid all the time? Not at all. I'm not worried about getting laid any time soon, either.

Do you turn it off and on or is it active all the time? Er...turn what on/off?

Why the hate for effeminate, flamboyant or campy men? No hate from me, but I don't see myself falling for one.
My contribution.

God, I love that word.

This might be the most successful thread I've ever created. I'm so proud...

Someone asked before if the word "queer" was considered offensive and I just wanted to chime in. For me, it depends on whether or not the word is being used in a derogatory manner. My best friend (a straight male) will sometimes refer to me as a queer and it doesn't bother me. I know there's nothing malicious there and, I'll admit, sometimes I find it endearing. And coming out to friends, instead of going the whole, "I'm gay," route, I've just said, "guess what! I'm a queer/homo." I dunno. For me, that sounds less serious and a lot...cuter?

Point is, if you're not calling me a queer/homo to put me down, I'm fine with its use. Now the use of the word "fag"? That's a whole other story.

I think a lot of people who identify as sexually 'a bit weird' identify as 'queer'

Agreed on the word "queer." I also like that it indicates a solidarity with transgender people, other straight but non-gender conforming people, and members of other sexual minorities.

Don't shoot me, but I'm not at big issue with the term "fag" or "faggot", and I occasionally drop it sometimes. It's mostly because I know its backstory, I know that its offensive, but I'm looking at it with a different perspective: If the word holds no power and doesn't affect me when its used, then the word loses all of its derogatory power.

However, that still doesn't stop me from flipping a shit if someone calls me a faggot with a negative tone, which has happened before.

I understand this. Who's saying it and in what context they are saying it affects how I feel about it.

If you ever watched straight porn, who did you project yourself on to (female or the male)?
Project myself onto? I've watched straight porn and mostly I just look at the guy and try to block out the horrible screeching of the chick he's plowing. I'm not really projecting myself onto either of them. The same with gay porn though. I just enjoy watching two (...or more) men having sex. I don't really think of myself as being them.

I'm not attracted to women despite some previous attempts to convince myself otherwise. I do, of course, can say when a woman is attractive. Despite The Spirit being a very bad movie, Eva Mendes did have a nice-looking ass. There's no sexual attraction, just an appreciation of beauty.

Here's a question open to all gay men who wish to answer:

1) Are you effeminate?
2) Do you like to act girly and are a gay guy?
3) How hard has your life been?

4) Do you feel like you'll never find someone to love because most gay men have some fantasy about a super macho guy?

5) Do you feel like you're hot shit and get laid all the time?

6) Do you turn it off and on or is it active all the time?

7) Why the hate for effeminate, flamboyant or campy men?

Please, tell me more...

1) No.
2) No.
3) Parents are a bother. Still haven't said anything. I'm waiting 'til I'm older. Also grew up in a Catholic neighborhood, went to Catholic school, and attended mass weekly, which wasn't too bad, but the Church's view is a bit too narrow for me. They're doing better and becoming more accepting, but not good enough.
4) A little, but I don't find macho guys hot, so there's still hope. There has to be others like me. Average build is best.
5) Never.
6) Turn... wait what? What's it?
7) No hate. Just so predictable. Sometimes their voices are incredibly annoying. Other times its their attitude. Every so often there is one within the mold that pulls it off just right as to not step on any toes or ever become annoying. I've had a crush on one such type before.

Probably has to do with my bisexuality... best of both worlds! :lol

I've also got a thing for girly boys and crossdressers that can pull it off well.

Soccer was my favorite sport when I was young. Now I'm not all too competitive, so I won't be able to help you much, but my guess is it's not gay at all.

Gay/Bi guys that love breast and dick? Actually I meet a good number of gay guys that just simply love breast but cannot be bothered with the lower regions are any of you guys like that? Straight allie as well and I find this thread to be awesome hope it manages to outlive the hotmen thread ;).

if a dick girl happens to have a awesome looking dick I can find myself being aroused by it. Would that make me like a psuedo bisexual? Or just cock crazy?
