The buy vs no buy ratio is incredibly close to 1:1 (35.9% vs. 31.4%). GAF is actually most diverse on this matter lmao. Too bad I saw a few folks got banned or requested ban for being too polarizing.
I think only 30% of "Ill buy" for a ND game is pretty low ...I think that the same poll previous to TLOU2 would show a very different result ...

There is a pretty well established mindset in how they approach their storys, their world views and how this reflects on their games.

It's definitely strange, but mostly because it comes from a niche following being influenced by a bunch of Western grifters. It's a loud minority at the end of the day, and categorizing or conflating them as 'Japanese gamers' AS A WHOLE is very misleading, literally as relevant as Metacritic review bombers.

It stings because ND is one if not the favorite developers for me, I really loath how a one man is ruining this fantastic studio. Thats why I wish they get a huge backlash for this so Sony can react and fix it. We need the joyful ND that makes good games, not the agenda driven safe space finding lunatics.

The people creating masculinised female characters and advocating for the masculinisation of women because of it, are doing so because they are men who want to be women, together with the enabling men and women who agree with their ideology.
The intent is to blur and break down the barriers between male and female characteristics as much as possible.
If all of popular culture features masculinised women, and no men, then who is that culture really representing?

I was super excited about the game thinking I could have space travel and hunt things on different planets but hearing its on one planet is disappointing

We dont know anything about the game yet. take it for what it is, if you want to not give a shit about it, thats fine as well.
But hating a product that nobody is forcing u to consume, really isnt worth it.
Play something else, i have alot of fun with PoE2 right now

Personally I have enjoyed the Amy Hennig era of ND games much moreso than Druckman's time in the pilot seat, but I also understand why her style of game/protagonist wouldn't work in TLOU.
So far from Intergalatic's short trailer I am hoping that Druckman can find some of that pre-TLOU mix of serious and fun that ND to be known for. He technically was around during those earlier years.

Imagine if the Kingdom Come devs had to react to the backlash from the annoying group of grifters attacking their game.
The worst part is that I'm pretty sure you will still agree that it will be great gameplay-wise, which is the most important aspect of a game.

I find Japan to be one of the most fascinating countries. Such a unique history, especially in relation to games. But, if you thought there were race issues in the west, it is much worse in Japan. Depiction of minorities in Japan, specifically referring to black people, is abhorrent. There is a reason why they are becoming the oldest country in the world with rapidly declining birthrates. It is not a welcoming country to outsiders
And as much as I agree that a game like AC Shadows deserves criticism, much of it is levied by Japanese gamers who are disgusted at the idea of playing as a black samurai

Majority of "normal folks" (not much invested into politics) started to reject this as well after years of seeing the same shit in their games/tv shows/movies. Sales are proof of this.
ND - one of the best developers ever will have a lot to explain to Sony financial folks when their game bombs hard.
They still have time to fix this shit but they won't, they want to push "the message" over anything else - at least Druckmann is and I don't think anyone in the studio dares to question him.
Look what damage "outsiders" are doing in European countries that welcomed them in millions. Maybe Japan is right?
