It was a very abusable skill. A good idea in theory that led to stupid gameplay strategy in practice. They should have put a cap on how many times you can use it.
Most busted ability ever. Even better if you have a couple mimes to mimic the calculated spell. Even better if you have holy-absorbing gear on your guys so you can indiscriminately target friends and foes alike.
Self buff skill. Your character spends his turn to powerup and increase his attack power by one. The obvious thing to do was then run around, do that skill a bunch of times, then one shot everything else. You're also able to keep doing it and get exp.

I had 1 character with dance ability, 2 with calculate, and 2 mimes. Then every dance + calculated spell got tripled. I mostly used the dance that caused random status ailments or the one that permanently lowered enemy speed.
