What Do You Think About the "Accumulate" skill in Final Fantasy Tactics?

It was a very abusable skill. A good idea in theory that led to stupid gameplay strategy in practice. They should have put a cap on how many times you can use it.

Umm... wut?

I'll take this moment to hijack the thread to say... the Calculator as a job was fucking nuts.
Most busted ability ever. Even better if you have a couple mimes to mimic the calculated spell. Even better if you have holy-absorbing gear on your guys so you can indiscriminately target friends and foes alike.

At least refresh our memory and explain what this skill did OP
This thread deserves a "live" tag

Self buff skill. Your character spends his turn to powerup and increase his attack power by one. The obvious thing to do was then run around, do that skill a bunch of times, then one shot everything else. You're also able to keep doing it and get exp.

And Job Points to get new jobs.

The one-two hit with the mimes destroyed battles. I was so OCD with finding the most effective single round go at it.

Yeah, but to get to that point you gotta "accumulate" like a madman.
Can see that. Well, all is fair in love and war.... and math.

I had 1 character with dance ability, 2 with calculate, and 2 mimes. Then every dance + calculated spell got tripled. I mostly used the dance that caused random status ailments or the one that permanently lowered enemy speed.
