You are very wrongI think the Bethesda Morrowind days are over.
We won't see another Morrowind (in space) style game from Bethesda anymore. What they done with Fallout 4 and 76 is telling. And even Skyrim, which is anything but Morrowind, already marked their approach to streamlining.
Furthermore, as of now we don't know anything for sure about its gameplay. And it's probably gonna be bug infested and, IF there's mod support, up to the community to fix their damn game (like it was time and time again).
Todd himself also said that, paraphrased, that he regretted to not have monetisation options in Skyrim, which they sure add double times in F76 (MTX, subscription fee on top of a full price game). So expect a shitload of MTX in Starfield too.
He just didn't want to answer and dodged the topic. Not a good sign.So i just read that some guy asked Todd howard what he meant when he said "starfield will be a more hardcore rpg" and Todd's response was :
"Really excited about what the team has done with character creation here. Including choosing background, skills, etc. You also can pick your pronoun (he, she, they) and we've recorded all the relevant dialogue to support that choice"
Like seriously ? This is an hardcore rpg feature ? chosing skills and the way npcs call you ? You would think that in an rpg the option to chose your background and skills is a must
Has the rpg genre fallen that much ?
You don't have to trust me at all. You could read throughout various interviews Todd has given since last E3 though but then again I probably doubt you'd believe Todd's words either. How could anyone trust you on this subject?
Well as far as the hype around it :So i just read that some guy asked Todd howard what he meant when he said "starfield will be a more hardcore rpg" and Todd's response was :

Yes.What do you count as info? More concept art/lore videos or actual gameplay
Because, even considering all of their faults, "recent" (ahahah) The Elder Scrolls and Fallout games are good single player experiences so a new, massive IP from Bethesda is understandably generating hype.So i just read that some guy asked Todd howard what he meant when he said "starfield will be a more hardcore rpg" and Todd's response was :

Skyrim is no longer a “glitch fest” since 2016…Most say that it's a Skyrim in the space...but for me just the fact that will be a Skyrim already spells doom for this game. After all, most of those are a glitch fest at finest. The other concerning point is the lack of gameplay.
Skyrim is no longer a “glitch fest” since 2016…
I really think you are hugely exaggerating the issues that Skyrim had.I bet I could make a solid game, too if I could release it 42 times.
James Sawyer Ford with his usual measured and unbiased take on a Microsoft game.I'm personally not excited at all given Bethesda's track record.
They really have not made very good games. They make immersive worlds. Mechanically, their games are junk. And their quality seems to be trending worse. Their track record in the PS4/XB1 gen was extremely poor. Gaming standards have risen tremendously and I feel like they're kind of left behind.
But who knows, maybe they will surprise me when they show more. But I'm not holding out any hope that they'll deliver an ambitious game that's also fun to play and not riddled with issues.

The thread is complete.
You seem to be upset about an opinion. I have held this opinion on Bethesda since well before Microsoft acquired them, has nothing to do with a Microsoft game and everything to do with it being a Bethesda game.

I had to install fallout 4 again because even with the few bad decisions it's the only recent Bethesda type of game that feels like a Bethesda game.1. Bethesda open world games have a feel that hasn't been successfully emulated by anyone else.
2. The modding possibilities.

Or not. Wait, now that i think about, at least several people will be disappointed if the game is actually good.Because they haven't seen gameplay. Which means anything is possible. Ready to Leave millions in disappointment this summer.
That's a good gif of Fraudd Coward you have there
If you take it that way, then you are not interested in any of the bethesda games. So i just read that some guy asked Todd howard what he meant when he said "starfield will be a more hardcore rpg" and Todd's response was :

They have access to more advanced tools now, compared to 2011 tools. It seems like people are expecting a miracle with this game. I’ve seen comments like Skyrim in space whilst also suggesting each planet will be the size of Skyrim.
If Bethesda could make multiple planets with the density of Skyrim then shouldn’t the next Elder Scrolls title (being a single planet) only take around 6 months to a year to make?
Todd could probably even make TESVI in a single nights sleep with some of the expectations people have set for themselves for this game.
So you think TESVI will be completed very quickly since the scope will be minuscular in comparison? They have access to more advanced tools now, compared to 2011 tools.
Plus, the bigger issue is the quest logs, lore and skills. Having big spaces means nothing, if these are not presented in the game. It will be like Ubisoft games.
TESVI will take long time, because of quest, lore, choices, recorded npc quotes. These take alot of time to do.So you think TESVI will be completed very quickly since the scope will be minuscular in comparison?
Probably closer to No Man’s Sky, but my point was people are expecting Skyrim on multiple planets. That’s simply not possible.TESVI will take long time, because of quest, lore, choices, recorded npc quotes. These take alot of time to do.
Starfield is space. If it has more planets like Skyrim, then that means it will have less npc, less lore. Its like settlements in Fall out. But smaller.
