So, uh.... what's with all the fucking assholes today?

Since I got the deluxe , how do I make my self enroll for that program where you get a percentage back when you download eshop games?

So how is the Sonic racing game? Any good?

It runs OK. Kinda muddy graphically with an inconsistent framerate. The main problem it has is difficulty. It feels rushed because the jump in difficult is just nuts at times. I prefer the first game, but there's still a lot to like in the 2nd one.

So I can just walk in the store and get one right?

I preordered my console back in June at my local Gamestop but due to low preorders Nintendo didn't send any. Meanwhile others on here have been able to pick up multiple consoles :(

Try your luck. Most we're sold out in my area but others have been able to get it no problem!

Holy crap at watching Nano assault trailer with the gamepad speaker assist. Aural overload x_x Was not expecting the gamepad speakers to supplement trailers as well.

The WiiU version or is this for all consoles?

Just people voicing they're ( sometimes legit) gripes with the system. Nothing wrong with that.

The gripes are legit, but a lot of people who make the biggest noise about the shortcomings are the ones who don't own the system and yeah, don't plan on ever buying one. Same case as with the Vita negativity.

Once Miiverse is smooth and error-free, I think my only gripe would really be the slow time it takes to launch stuff.

Tank Tank Tank is kind of insane as a $60 game. It looks fun, but tbh it bears more than just a passing resemblance to certain games within Nintendo Land. With worse production.

Wow, I just checked out Target.com and every store near me has Wii U's in stock. Only about half of my local Walmart's are sold out. That is pretty unbelievable, I think I might go and buy one tomorrow.

It goes for the games, too. I really couldn't believe how much hate I could feel from people in the RE6 |OT|. Just seems like people would rather do something or talk about something fun more than spending all their time in a thread related to something they don't like or find fun. I'm never that bored.

Inventory is updated daily at the start of the day, so those numbers might be lying. I think you should be able to get one though. Up until Black Friday/Thursday when everyone is in the stores and it's probably guaranteed to sell out.

It's interesting how it seems Nintendo chose to supply primarily Deluxe units to the specialty shops and major electronics chains, while only Basic units to the lower-priority, general goods shops.

Looks like the vast majority of pre-orders were Deluxe so they needed to reallocate supplies.

Well my girlfriend just walked into a store here in downtown Montreal this afternoon and grabbed their last white wii u!

I'm messing around with miiverse and such, the community aspect is pretty neat, it's Neogaf meets Twitter, nothing I'll spend too much time on though especially with it being pretty slow. At least Sterling's posts are keeping me entertained. It's also a decent tool to gauge interest in the different games, right now the Nintendo Land community is just a little bit bigger than Super Mario's.

Tomorrow I'll probably grab some local multiplayer games (Nintendo Land and Rabbids Land) to play with the girlfriend, and maybe New Super Mario Bros. U or some additionnal controllers and wii games seeing how I skipped on the previous Nintendo console.

Pretty much what I expected from a nintendo console, hopefully games will be fun!

I'm probably one of the most input lag sensitive people on GAF. The Gamepad is incredibly responsive.

Same. Haven't even had a blip of lag yet, although I'm mainly just doing the web browser and Miiverse with it right now (since the only game I'm playing is Mario.)

I can tell you from personal experience earlier this morning, those numbers aren't always accurate. I went to two Targets that said they had them in stock and both had sold out way before I got there.

I went BB, Walmart, Target, and GameStop today. All sold out.

I got games at each with credit and may get Ninja Gaiden 3 and Warriors Orochi tomorrow.

Does anyone else think nintendo waited to release additional gamepads because they could come out with two different ones? Like the current one for 100 or 125 and another for 150-175 that has a higher ppi and maybe a slighty larger screen.

Apple came out with 3ipads in however many months could nintendo continue to upgrade their gamepads during the console lifecycle?

If you're like me and are used to the DS (and thus use the stylus mainly) it's extremely responsive. But when you use your fingers it's definitely a little bit less responsive ... I don't see it being a huge issue in games though.

Anyone have impressions of the indie games (Little Inferno, Chasing Aurora, etc) that hit today? I picked up Nano Assault, and kind of want to pick up one of the other that came out.

Any luck yet on forming a Miiverse community for "WUST" regulars? (not sure how this works).

Seems a lot of people have more time than they have money. The rest of us are enjoying our consoles.

Well, mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Based on what I've read over the last 24 hours here, and heard elsewhere; I'm bailing out. I'm on vacation this week, I am fortunate enough that money is not a concern. I have owned every console on release day for the last 30+ years. Am I old? Yes. Will I overlook another readily apparent console failure? No.

Assuming that target.com is correct the basic set is in stock at all of the Target stores within a 30 mile radius of me and the Deluxe is in stock at about half of the stores in that radius. Why did I pre-order a basic at Gamestop.com? If anything I'll return that basic and buy a deluxe locally.

Just checked the local Walmarts and the deluxe is in stock at the three Walmart stores closest to me! Nice.

Does anyone know if you can return a Gamestop.com ordered Wii U deluxe to a local Gamestop store and get a refund or if it needs to be returned to the online retailer?

Any impressions on Little Inferno? Geoff said he just finished it and that it's a beautiful game.
It's definitely very different gameplay-wise from World of Goo. I got to the credits in about 3 hours. It's a lot of "exploring" in terms of trying things out and seeing what happens with a bit of creativeness and attention to detail/descriptions to figure out combos.

Target showed the Deluxe as being in stock at a local one for me earlier. Called in and they said they didn't actually have any. Same with Walmart, but apparently the local one didn't get any in the first place.

Great, I already misplaced my Gamepad stylus. Luckily I has a spare DS Lite stylus, and it fits perfectly into the Gamepad slot.

I might be disheartened if Monster Hunter weren't coming out in four months and the games I wanted at launch didn't work. As it stands the console can run the games I bought fine and MH is still on schedule. Everything else is secondary to me. Not to downplay your concerns though, everyone has different values.
