cant wait anyfuckingmore!

I think Mass Effect 3 will indeed sell like shit. I think Madden and FIFA will be on the system irrespective of anything, because they're Madden and FIFA. I think similarly of Need for Speed.

I expect Criterion to handle the Wii U hardware pretty nicely. They've always been competent with their work and Burnout and Burnout 2 ran best on GameCube if I remember correctly (delayed ports as well). With that said, glad to hear that NFS is coming out for Wii U. I might just check it out when it eventually arrives.

You think Madden, FIFA, and Mass Effect 3 are all selling horribly? And that Need for Speed Most Wanted will as well?

Mass Effect 3 will sell like ass, but they should have known that considering the situation. I could have gotten that game for free and still passed on it.

Madden is late to the game, but you can expect every Madden to hit the system until the end of the generation, same with FIFA. They'll sell bad, but maybe the next editions will sell better if they throw more effort into them. Most Wanted will hit pretty much all viable systems, so no one should be surprised.

I'll be surprised if any of these games sell worth a damn.

Can anyone explain if/how to delete messages on Miiverse with friends? Can't figure out a way to remove either individual messages or whole conversations.

Thanks to everyone above for answering my questions, I really appreciate it.

I just got my Wii U up and running today but I am in serious need of some friends. Please shoot me a friend request and I will happily accept it. I have several friends for my 360 and PS3 but outside of Gaf, even in the real world I don't know anyone thats even thinking about buying a Wii. Thanks

p.s. If anyone has one of those old school WiiMote Plus attachments that wouldnt mind getting rid of please shoot me a private message and maybe we can reach a deal in trade or good old cash.

Oh my Nintendo ID is: MizzouGaming

In the echo chamber that is Miiverse, the people with ME3 certainly seem to love it. Especially the online portion.

The online is excellent and I'd wager one of the coolest on the Wii U at the moment. For that reason alone it would be nice if a lot of people owned it so they'd have people to play with. Alas, I believe that audience will be pretty limited.

ME3 looked like a serviceable port, and it seems to be making better use of the touchscreen than most. Practical and unintrusive.

And there's no online pass for the Wii U version, right? That's always a good thing. Comes with From Ashes too, which is one of the best parts of that game IMO.

Such a shame EA didn't man up and bring the whole trilogy to Wii U. I'd have double dipped for sure, were that the case.

That's the general consensus on the Miiverse ME3 channel. Needs more people in online.

The main negative against it is obviously no ME1/2, but also because EA won't be bringing all the DLC to the Wii U version.

I guess we'll find it out if the DLC is truly never ever coming to the Wii U version when Nintendo rolls out the DLC service in December.

The line I'm in is ridiculous, I hope they still have some at this Target.
The Target I was just at had at least 15 Wii U systems in stock. People were passing it up like it didn't exist. Also, people were confusing Wii U software for Wii games. I had I stop a parent trying to buy Blops2.

no pointer controls though - pass

As much as I enjoy pointer controls I don't think they're a good fit here. Not with a cover based system. It might work but I think it would take a good deal of the fun out of the combat. With a straight shooter like Call of Duty they're fine.

Edit:

I still think ME3 could have okay if not well if EA had cared about their messaging. It's why I'm so torn on ME3. It looks like a very well done port. Fills the RPG void and it has interesting multiplayer. Sure you don't get the first two games but I was okay with that as long as the comic told enough of the important plot points (having played the first game sort of helped me deal with this as well). You could fill in some gaps yourself based on past characters relationships on how they talked to each other, etc. it's like that with any story I think. Out of the three games I thought, even while older, ME3 had a shot. It seemingly had all the content and new features and wasn't missing gameplay features like Madden and Fifa. However all that good seems to be because of Straight Right and the Bioware team that worked with them. Until EA completely undercut it with the trilogy announcement, it not being on the Wii U, keeping the $60 price (as soon as the trilogy was announced the price should have been cut to at least $40 or $50), and then to top it off by saying it wouldn't get the latest DLC. Not being capable isn't an issue because other games will get DLC.

*Shakes head*

I wonder what will happen if nintendo makes a really shitty game, like wario world, will they delete all the negative comments?

It's funny what they delete. I earned a stamp in Nintendoland and it asked me to write message, so I wrote: I'm a Stamp Tramp. That's apparently crossing a line. I saw a picture of a dong last night with 15 Yeahs. The artist claimed it was a spaceship. Pretty funny.

Someone I know got messages removed for writing about how enemies in NSMBU are a pain in the butt.

They seem trigger happy to moderate just about anything lol.

One of my Mii's profile reads xenoblade rules, I'm sure I would have been banned, had it been ps3 instead of xenoblade.

Pointer controls would be awesome as hell in Mass Effect. I play with a mouse and keyboard on the PC version and I would swap over to the Wii U version in a heartbeat with pointer controls. There aren't a whole lot of buttons, so it would work fine with the remote and nunchuck. I just imagine using my M-99 using Demolisher with the pointer and it would be a deadly combination. Using the remote would function the same as using a mouse.

But as it stands, no IR, no buy. It's a simple thing for me. I know other people who feel the same way.

Also, from what I've heard the Wii U version doesn't come with the latest multiplayer DLC. One more reason to avoid.

Saw this on Nan Assault Neo leaderboards. A non US/Can system. Perhaps an importer or a release date broken in Europe?

All the regional Nintendo's in Europe will have a system (well UK did); and reviewers are likely getting to play ahead of next weeks launch.
Would an importer get a PAL flag? Or is that all unimportant?

Ok, so I did the Wii transfer tonight and realized I had 2000 Wii Points left over on my Wii. What's the best way to spend these left over points?

The one thing Miiverse can all agree on: Youtube App sucks.

This isn't Wii U specific, sadly; Youtube is just awful at making any kind of app.

It's even crazier when you consider that using Youtube in the browser is all sorts of fantastic; you can even send the video to the main screen and keep the controls on the GamePad.

In my opinion, ME3 should and deserved to fail. EA is indirectly screwing the WiiU audience by releasing the trilogy pack for the PS3 and the 360 for less than for ME3 alone. This is BS given that the pack should also be given to the WiiU audience since if they were purely Wii owners, none of them ever owned these games.

So yeah, screw EA. I would thinking about getting ME3 until I heard about that pack.

Im absolutely in love with sending the video to the main screen and still browsing. The first time I showed my sister her eyes got big lol

Problem is how do you start a community when noone is buying some of the 3rd party games?

I do not believe rewarding third-parites for screwing over their audience just for future third-party support. If you make a good game and value your customers I would fully support EA. However, EA thinks that I as a customer is dumb since I would willingly pay them 60 dollars for one game to a three part series when other systems get the entire series for half the price. How is that fair? We should never support these kinds of money grabs. If EA takes this as a sign that their games do not sell on the WiiU, screw them and let them bleed even more money.

Yeah the 360 app is horrible.

Cross-post:

So, my dilemma:

People say that Trine 2 feel loose in control, I've played Mighty Switch Force, don't really want Nano Assault, hear Darksiders II is terrible (rule of three), seen AC3, Mass Effect 3 and Batman played through, Scribblenauts reviews have me wary (puzzles force you to think like the developer instead of being creative), and I've never been big on fighting games.

What do I even do? Wait (hah) for LEGO City Stories?

Help?

I went to Walmart tonight to see what sales they have. It was a terrible idea. That place was the definition of chaos. I quickly left and went to Target. They had a very organized line for Wii U/ i Pads / iPhones, etc... They had plenty of Wii Us in stock (both versions). There were two people in front of me who wanted to buy the Wii U. But I didn't see anyone at the register buying.

I am not if the demand is not there... or everyone is waiting for tomorrow.

You start by making better games for a community to form. I would be more than willing to pick up the Wii U version of ME3, but EA isn't giving me a reason to do so, and they sure as hell shouldn't be supported for what they're doing. Gamers shouldn't put up with this kind of crap, and if EA takes this as Wii U gamers not wanting to play their games, then to hell with them.
