Got my second Sephuz' Secret on my Warlock (his first). I was SO HAPPY.

So bad luck protection is per character, not account, right?

Ohhh this is good to know. Hopefully my Paladin gets a good legendary then. Part of the reason I'm not too fussed about re-rolling is that my Warrior only has Destiny Driver and Aggramar's Stride for legendaries.

teeming/skittish/fortified this week on NA? I think I can work with that. I'm strong enough to facetank most stuff now and I've more or less figured out Skittish. I feel like my group is a long ways from +15 just because we aren't an optimal class mix.

Black Rook +12 Tyrannical is a great showcase of how badly mythic+ needs a balancing pass right now. You go up against Smashspite who literally hits harder than a mythic raid boss and then immediately go fight Dantalionax who is soloable by the tank. So dumb.

Give it a shot at some point, you never know. I didn't expect to get it today, to be honest. This was my first shot.

And thanks!

If they would have updated the textures I probably would have tried to get it once I could fly in the Broken Isles, to make it easier, but as it is now I would probably never use it. It would just be a +1 towards the mount achievements.

I did a +10 BRH as well last night. Smashspite is pretty bad (our tank got 1 shot a few times) but nothing compares to the second boss (fire lady) on Court of stars. With Tyrannical I dont think we ever got her past half hp. We had to just give up.

Too bad it's one of the worst DPS traits.

I really wish you could choose to reset a Keystone once per week.

Court of stars is kind of our specialty so my group does well there. The last guy is actually the real DPS race. You absolutely need to get all 3 of the area buffs and you can get screwed over very easily if you don't have the right profession/class spread or bad luck. For example one of the buffs is movement speed and one (bonus hp) requires 800 cooking.

They need to change CoS mythic+ to have all buffs up all the time and only allow you to pick 3. RNG shouldn't be such a big factor.

Oh, if you've never done tyrannical Eye of Azshara, now that's some serious shit. Funny how it's hands down the easiest dungeon otherwise. Edit: well maybe Maw is easier. But you can't CC or kite a lot of Maw mobs and those lantern guys are assholes.

It really is true in the disparity between balance. It can be clearly seen even with individual instances depending on the affix combo. For example, I don't think Sanguine/Overflowing/Tyrannical is THAT different in difficulty from Teeming/Skittish/Fortified now that we've figured out Skittish (WTB 10% Thrash damage relics...), but the difference between Nelth's Lair with the former (the easiest +10 we've ever done) and Nelth's Lair with the latter (Oh god 4 pelter Fortified pull, oh god Fortified Scorpions) is massive, just in one dungeon.

I feel like our group could DO a +15 right now, but definitely not within the time limit. We have what I consider to be a pretty solid class combo (WW/DH/BM Hunter for DPS, Holy Pal/Guardian Druid), but we are a bit hamstrung by the fact that we don't raid, so our gear comes exclusively from Mythic+, and I'm the only one with two legendaries (that both happen to suck until 7.1.5). That and our healer, while a very good player, hates researching mechanics so we kind of have to wing it if anything specifically focuses on the healer to handle things. That and he likes to hit the drinks pretty hard later in our runs...

Oh well, time to play the high level key roulette again this week hoping that what we get is something possible on Teeming/Fortified... Please no Nelths/Vault thanks.

Skittish is manageable if you can coordinate your group to focus-fire with target macros. Otherwise it is all over the place. Different topic, but Court of Stars last boss with Volcanic is simply broken. It's already a soft enrage kind of boss, but the illusions each summoning volcanic pools is utter horseshit.

Don't knock the movement speed, if you don't have optimal classes it is the only way to guarantee the charge never debuffs anyone! And eliminating that bleed helps a reasonable amount, though the real issue is that very tight "enrage" timer... I think the HP/Mana regen one is the most useless overall. But I totally agree, both CoS and Arcway need the RNG removed from Mythic+, the former needs as you said all buffs active, you just pick 3, and the latter needs all doors open from the start (and the slimes need to respawn when you zone out to eliminate that dumb cheese every LFG group demands to do..)

EoA Tyrannical (Wrath) takes the cake as my top "nope" now that they fixed Hyrja to not hit your DPS for 3 million on 12 and above...

Because of how skittish works I found that if melee gave me a 6 second head start on each pack, it was not possible for them to pull off me. And we have a WW who does obscene damage. Seems that the mechanic is heavily based around a huge threat spike on the DPS in the first ~5 seconds, so if you eliminate that it doesn't seem like the affix was coded with this in mind, and most DPS never get a huge spike. We had our addon dev member code something quick to log threat data, and it seemed pretty consistent. Also if you have both a rogue and a Hunter, or an all ranged group you can ignore skittish outright... god damn ranged!

Been that way since the start for Legion that I remember.

Did they make Broken Isles crossrealm early(Not through LFG)?

That's fucked up. Expansion isn't over yet.

Yep, been that way since launch. Was easy for me to tell, since I played on a realm that was always pretty balanced Alli/Horde, but since legion I couldn't enter a quest hub or world quest area without 15 horde and 0 other alli and get instantly killed. Some dumb "shard" system they made up which is supposed to keep every zone somewhat populated but not overpopulated. Load of bullshit imo, completely ruined the fun of being on a somewhat balanced PvP server and turned it into a "you land at a flight path you get gangbanged and camped until you xrealm to PvE". Was a large reason why my whole group paid exorbitant sums to transfer to a PvE realm.

Season ends in two weeks. They weren't kidding about shorter seasons.

Not looking forward to having to grind rating again for my elite gear, ugh

I wonder if they'll aim to have 7.1.5 out by then as well. Youd think they wouldnt want to start a new season and then make huge classwide changes in the middle of it. The 8 week Illidan/Suramar questlines are also ending that same day.

I was thinking patch/Nighthold/new season all on the same day in early January, but this news put a damper on that.

Dunno if the patch will be ready in 2 weeks

Eh? It definitely hasn't been that way. Since the restart I've seen an exorbitant amount of horde compared to before.

My assumption was always that they intended to launch Nighthold either on the last week of or the week after the conclusion to this weekly Suramar campaign, which has 3 weeks left after this week (4 weeks total), since the events of the campaign seem to be leading up to the raid. Though this season rollover seems to indicate that it might be sooner than I thought.

I've played every single day since legion launched. I haven't missed a day of Emissary quests since I was elligible to do them. I have never once been in the world where the majority of people were not from my server. It is something that bothers me a lot, so I never fail to notice the sea of asterisks next to people's names (as I get killed over and over and over and over). I can assure you there has been cross realm shenanigans going on since expansion launch in every Broken Isles zone, at least on my battlegroup. Maybe they changed the way they balance the shards recently or something, and that is what you're noticing, but it has always been cross realm this expansion.

E: Not meaning to sound hostile, I just REALLY fucking hate this cross realm system, it has destroyed my enjoyment of my server I've been on for years now, and it is my biggest gripe with Legion (how poorly world PvP has been handled), so I am hyper aware of how server mixing works.

For anyone curious, Dave Kosak has left the Warcraft team and is now part of Hearthstone (he had been the lead narrative designer for wow).

Makes me wonder what, if anything, this means for Sylvanas since he's apparently a bit of a big fan of hers.

I see Sephuz got another change on the PTR.

"Successfully applying a loss of control effect to an enemy, interrupting an enemy, or dispelling any target grants you 70% increased movement speed and 25% Haste for 10 sec. This effect may occur once every 30 sec."

Can't they just add "chance on crit" and be done with it?

I actually like that it's not passive and forces you to be active. If they go to far with extending this too things people will do in their rotation anyways, it will effectively become passive. (As Ele, we currently get it for free in AoE rotations where EQ will proc it, for instance)

Ran with a pug where someone complained they had to start using their stun to proc their "useless" legendary and, after facepalming for a bit, realized that, for however underpowered it may be, at least it's getting lower skill players to do things like interrupt and stun mobs.

So last night I did another battleground. It's that stupid mine one, the one I haven't done since I was forced in there for the Pandaria legendary.

I didn't play offensively at all. My job was disrupting Horde players from capping minecarts by being really easy bait. I jumped into packs of players and stunned, tossed in a little damage, and ran off, hoping they'd follow.

It worked.

Over and over. At one point I was doing this and a healer kept me up while three people beat on me for like a minute.

Meanwhile, my team rolled the other people and kept capping carts.

It felt good. I contributed!

Maybe I was just dreaming when they said Fury needed fundamental redesign changes. Maybe. At the very least the talents DPS warriors use in 7.1.5 should be very different than what they are now.

God please let this Guardian Intimidating Roar change be a datamining error. Please don't take the talent row where I was already deciding between much better raid/group sprint and a personal movement speed increase that is a MASSIVE quality of life improvement and add on top of that the choice for my AoE disorient that I've had baseline since Legion launch, which has very niche use but is nice enough to have for Mythic+ that I will never again be able to justify having charge (my biggest personal quality of life improvement talent of all time for tank Druid).

Are the servers still down for maintenance? I was hoping it would be done by the time I got home from work.

It means she's one step closer to becoming a raid boss.

Shield of Vengeance -- Creates a barrier of Holy Light that absorbs [ 1,000% [ 2,000% of AP ] damage for 15 sec. When the barrier is consumed, all damage absorbed is dealt as Holy damage divided across all enemies within 8 yds

Einchy talking about Paladin nigh-unkillability? HAH.

Thal'kiel's Discord - Shadowbolt and Demonwrath sometimes enrages Thal'kiel, causing him to teleport to an enemy and scream for 0 Shadow damage to all nearby enemies over 0

gdi. Thal'kiel's Discord sounds good on paper but its the de facto third gold trait for Demo. The proc rate is terrible and it only goes off Shadow/Demonbolt, so they made it proc off Demonwrath which we use even less. Should've been Hand of Gul'Dan.
