Invasion angles are so fresh and innovative.

NXT is the one thing WWE are doing right, and is critically appreciated
WWE loves doing things that shock for a month or two, and then fade out.
Fans that are straying away from the main product still appreciate NXT at the moment

If WWE are not going to fix the issues at the core of the company (of which there are many, and would take almost complete rebuilding on the company to rectify), an NXT Invasion for a month or two would at least make people happy for a little while.

WWE are running out of bandages to wrap around the main product, they might as well try this one

A NXT invasion would be done by the main WWE writers at that point then and be horrible. Anything good WWE comes across storyline wise they ruin within a month.

I know all of this. I went through all of these issues in my own head in the "Triple H knows" thread before calming down. Unless the main product is completely restructured anything that is added to it will eventually turn to shit. Without that restructuring, WWE need a quick fix style idea to bump interest for a few months - similarly to Punk Pipebomb, Nexus, WWECW, and going all the way back to "I bought WCW."

I honestly cannot think of any other quick fix other than throwing a bunch of NXT people into the mix at once to see what happens. They have ran out of old people to bring back. They cannot keep paying millions to outsiders. They might as well use their own talent in some interesting way.

I think all fans of WWE would enjoy it in a "Let's go Cena, Cena Suck" WCW/NWO style. It would be a miracle if lasted longer than 2 months, but fuck it. They is a solid break between main WWE fans and NXT fans that would get crowds to be active for such an encounter.

...they need something!

People have been booing Cena, Reigns, and whoever else at basic ass Raws whenever they come on the screen during a promotional video. NXT crowds doing the same don't mean shit and won't change shit.

It would be a month before they have Cena come in and destroy all of them in a handicap match.

That is an issue that would only be fixed by doing a completely restructuring of the product from the ground up. I honestly believe WWE are never going to do that. My idea at least make people happy for a little while, and engages all corners of the WWE fanbase.

That's how most crowds look from most fan footage. You really see them absolutely losing it during legendary returns or moments.

This thread is like the worst of dirt sheet comments.

Why get happy for a couple of weeks when you know it will all come crashing down?

I think the reception Reigns got at the Royal Rumble says all thats needed to be said. I also think it explains why DBry hasnt been allowed back onto the product despite being fit enough for it.

Its just good to see/hear that fans arent simply bending over and accepting what Vince is trying his best to insert.

Because that is the best case scenario currently. If I expect any more of the company, in it's current state, I will end up disappointed. Let's give them a low bar, and see if they can meet it. Regardless of the NXT stuff, I'd take one storyline that made logical sense beginning to end right now. I would applaud WWE if they got that much right. Right now, WWEs efforts are like potty training a child. They are currently shitting all over the place, so the one time they do it right, we should congratulate them as if they solved world hunger.

How the fuck is Rhyno and Tommy Dreamer are on a ppv wrestling in 2015. Rhyno serves a purpose in NXT but a WWE ppv matchÉ

Judging by the tepid response to Sami Zayn's return, I'd say this was a dud of a crowd. An anomaly that should not be read into too much.

He was over as anyone. The crowd wasn't massive but his pop was the biggest of the night.

Also some context for that video. we knew he was wrestling tonight and they had told the crowd it was going to a triple threat match and we were doing his chant at the start of Finn balors and baron corbins tunes. It took the energy out of it slightly.

What a fucking atrocious ass card. Owens-Ambrose is the only one I'm even remotely interested in and Dean is ass in the ring.

We saw how well that worked the first time.........

He's taken up CM Punk's mantle of knowing how to sell and how to structure a match, but not how to actually hit things in a way that doesn't look like crap. Though Dean's problem is that he's sawwwwwft, not clumsy like Punk.

Am I crazy for thinking that at least the New Day ladder match might end up being halfway decent with some good spots from Kofi and the dragons here and there? Couple that with New Day's antics, it might end up being tolerable. Ambrose and Owens could end up being alright as well.

The rest.....blah.

I have been thinking, and I have convinced myself there is literally no way Reigns/Sheamus can end satisfactory unless the title is magicked away from both of them.

I ended up watching the first elimination chamber the other day and it had been so long that the match was mostly fresh. It was so sad to see what the product was and what it's become. RVD jumping around everything, triple H hard selling the chamber in the opening of the match, Jericho and HHH's teamup being believable without the nonsense of them being a stable that always has those predictable turns, kane coming in and being a monster & threatening a tombstone to HHH when the move had been off the air for a year or so, the three finishers to put him away, etc.

Everything about the match was exciting and I can't imagine who'd they use in the modern day to capture that seem feeling.

What rubbish - you realise they're still paying DB high six figures, right? If he was for, he'd be wrestling. He's not fit by their standards. I'm sure any Indy and TNA would book him as medically fit, but no one holds them accountable for shit. WWE isn't risking another Angle situation where a guys body is fucked up so much he's tossing painkillers like tic-tacs.

Yet Tommy Dreamer is out there.
