XBOX 2024 Direct Officially Announced: January 18th (Featuring: Indiana Jones, Avowed, Hellblade)

Ok. I give up on this game. I can't for the life of me get excited about it. dull characters and the story doesn't seem that much to be honest.

I missed the audio in the first few minutes (was on mute), but just started hearing the audio when the ghetto sounding guy in the yellow coat started talking.

- Graphics are pretty good

- Sword and magic looked fine...... but then there was dual pistols? Kind of dumb. Or were those dual wield wands?

- The NPC character in the yellow coat talking sound odd. He's in a magical world and looks alien, but sounds like any dude from down the street selling you smokes and a pepsi in a variety store

notes
  1. Show dont tell.
  2. lighting looks nice.
  3. all the taking is PR fluff.
  4. combat looks rough.
  5. certainty not a AAA game.
  6. Art direction way ahead of Bethesda's.
Not really a strong showing. 7/10

Ugh, was expecting some live reaction from Phil, not this recorded crap about stuff I don't care about.

I'm out.

I'll try it...but I just wanna see more. I remember feeling outer worlds looked generic as hell...but I ended up really liking that game, short as it was.

Why do they have talk so much. This feels like they are doing a lame tutorial to show the game. Just do a game trailer and jump to the next game.

that one second hellblade 2 clip looked more engaging than the entire Avowed presentation

I like the Xeno Clash/Morrowind-style environment in Avowed. They should have used that direction more with the NPC character designs.

Ninja Theory is a wasted slot btw, they just need to release their game.

NT: a lot of people didn't care for the camera in GOW2018 but it turned out to be a great game. What do we do?
Also NT: shove the camera even farther up the main characters ass than GOW

I expected more from Avowed, maybe they just showed very tiny chunks and not a whole scenery or what the story is about/overarching goals, so I am kinda "eh... need to see more". Still trust the guys because Obsidian at least know what an RPG is.

Hellblade 2 will be exactly what 1 was... and while I liked it, it had a very bland forgettable gameplay. i dont remember anything about actually palying it.
this seems identical and even more pretentious... idk if I will play it just for graphics.

I am confident saying, plague tale requiem is probably better
