Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

Man, what in the hell happened with RDR? What a complete mystery. Such a hilariously cruel yet unintentional thing for them to just randomly put it up one day and then take it right back.

Haven't heard a thing since...
 
I really hope they find a way to negate the weird and annoying framerate issues and input delay for most of the games. I keep trying to go back to Mass Effect because it's my favourite game and it's almost unplayable. Is the vsync causing this and are they planning on refining the system more?
 
My only hope with all the patches today is that those games were waiting for the update in the emulator, so big Friday release.

Maybe they really just tested it without Rockstars approval (they can of course do that).

And they never got that approval.

And a real glitch got us the game :-)

I think it must be being held back for some reason (some sort of Gamescom reveal?) - there's surely no way Rockstar would leave free money on the table by disallowing RDR BC completely.

now hopes lost for red dead. before we waited in December game award, then e3 now will wait gamescom.. Rokstar not permits. end :-(
 
I thought Left4Dead was already "out"...
Flashback is the remake right ? Maybe I'll give it another go. I loved the original, but remember not being fond of the manual aiming in the XBLA version.

L4D2 was out. Flashback is the remake yeah, found it garbage but I think the original was on it too? It was on PC anyway, so that's good at least.
 
Works for me. That's two more games I can take off my 360 (Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead). Just another few more and I'll finally be able to have all of my non-BC games on my 360 HDD. :P

If Sony now indeed has a marketing deal on RDR2 I can totally see that keep RDR from coming to BC. It might have been planned as a preorder thing and now they can't do it anymore. Oh well, game still works on my Xbox One offline.
 
Was Skate 3 one of the initial 'coming soon' batch from a year ago? I forget. I know it's been "coming soon" for quite some time, at least.
 
Held onto my One for the hope that RDR and some other favs would come to BC. Thinking I should just sell my One and play RDR on ps3 if I like. I'm bummed!
 
Went through my BC games and see what needed updates:

Blood of the Werewolf
Carcassonne
Plants vs Zombies
Shadow Complex


Maybe new stability? IDK haha..

I think I'd rather buy another 360 to play RDR than play it on PS3 though in that situation.


Ugh, I'm sort of starting to not like Rockstar right now. I know you guys must be working on RDRe(something), and I love you for that, but SERIOUSLY where is my freaking BC RDR???!!!

We all know the game works fine, we all know that it is up and running for the Xbox One. This sucks

Also my copy quit working offline on X1 :******(

I do wonder what they do with emulator version roll outs. Do they see if they broke anything on everything and roll it out as they know, or if it worls 100% fine, just not bother?

The option is actually there, but MS themselves don't really use it. Needs to be done so you know what has changed.

People say things like this but that's not how it happened. It was never up for everybody, you basically had to jump through hoops to get it from a beta tester's profile or something. It was never available to the public.
 
Has there been a big change to how backwards compatibility works? A lot of my BC games have had updates over the last 7 days (I'm in the latest Preview Program so it might be related to that).
