Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

I've been excited about TTT2 since it first started downloading for random people before it became official. I wound up never going back to it though, too many other games on my plate. Now that it is free, and I don't have to pop the disc in, I'll start playing it some more. I am dreading hooking my 360 up so I can upload my save to the cloud though; last time I did that (was either for DoA5 stuff or for Castle Crashers Remastered save uploads), my controller kept disconnecting and dying because the battery pack isn't tight anymore and won't apply sufficient enough pressure to the batteries to keep them in the right position.

Here's hoping we get some big BC announcement at some point in the week.

You could give the 360 Smartglass phone app a try to use as a controller, think this is possible anyway.

Pretty disappointed we didn't get a big back compat drop at the conference. In all honesty if we don't get more titles added over E3, it feels very unlikely that the list is going to grow significantly at all; any publishers who wanted to be on board would be by now.

Yep, I was disappointed as well about the lack of any new BC-related announcements - especially since they made a big deal out of it at least year's conference. Ah well.

they also have the xbox daily show tomorrow and wednesday night where they have even said there will be breaking news, new announcements, reveals, etc. so let's all calm down before we say they didn't reveal anything. once the e3 week is over and nothing is announced, then start complaining.

As I said before E3 - MS didn't (and don't) intend to announce anything BC at E3. Just forwards compatible, with was in reference to 1S and Scorpio. They're a few titles away from 200 titles, which feels like a good number. Skate 3 is coming.

South Park The stick of truth was the only game made BC during E3? Nobody seems to mention it but it wasn't BC before E3.

It's basically an extra release. Stick of Truth itself is BC for a long time now.

I think they will announce new BC titles in the Daily shows.

Hopefully Major Nelson will give some kind of BC update today during the live stream. Just to remind everybody where they are at. I gotta be honest when I saw Harada and Tekken 7, I thought they were going to announce Tekken 6 as being BC.

Article on wired about Scorpio brought this up.
Microsoft has been working hard to make more and more Xbox 360 games backward compatible with Xbox One — Spencer calls out the 360-exclusive Japanese role-playing games Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey as his most-wanted games, and says the team is working on getting them running on Xbox One as we speak — and those backward compatible games, too, will work on Scorpio.

From the same article:
“I’ve talked about a desire to do the original Xbox backward compatibility,” he says—he’s wearing a shirt with the original Bill Gates-era Xbox logo on it. “We’re not working on that right now, but it’s theoretically very possible. On the CPU side, we could figure it out. I think people should have access to the games that they love,” he says. “I was an Atari Jaguar owner. Why can’t I play Tempest 2000 anymore?”

No OG Xbox BC in the near future it seems.

I don't think I saw any weekly Xbox Live deals announced. I usually try to grab a game or two from that if I think it could go BC. They skipping deals this week because of E3? Or do you think they will have any kind of E3 sale later this week?

Not saying anything at E3 kinda worries me. I expected at least an acknowledgement, we have over 100+ titles, sales have been up, users have spent so and so hours, etc, etc. it's also your keynote so it's a great to have users know more about it. Microsoft has a tendency to just release features and support them only in the short term with Game Room and GFW being prime examples.

Ugh e3 has come and gone and no crackdown info what so ever very disappointing gamescom is next in aug right? If no news about 3 or 1/2 bc is there im just gonna sell the one and wait for the scorpio crackdown was my main reason to get the system last augest cant believe they didnt even mention bc or crackdown what so ever at their conference

Would You Kindly take a deep breathe and relax?

Come and gone?

This was day 1 of 3 of the show floor lol.

wheres our big BC list we expected to launch doing E3?

I'm not sure why people expected it. People started making lists of all the titles, it was strange. As I said going in, Microsoft do not plan to talk about BC at E3. That doesn't mean more titles aren't coming; they are, and will be made available as usual.

I just tried South Park Stick of Truth does any one else experience lag with inputs and the game it self lagging quite a bit?

Running game from retail disc and it downloaded the game from the servers.

is Rumble Roses XX for 360 ever going to work on X1? this is the last great Konami game so please MS works your magic please.

Those Amazon 360 digital codes are available now, but no references to XB1 now. They have to come, I don't see why they would just start selling them now otherwise.
