Phil Spencer just received a standing ovation at the Gamestop conference for something XB1 S related?

I thought all Xbox One S came with the stand?
There are editions that don't? :S
Just 2tb come with the the stand ... In buying 500gb... And 30 bucks stand is insanely expensive imho

Without stand in vertical is a nono or yes yes ?

I think ONLY the 2 TB came with the stand, though I could be wrong. I have the 500GB and it did not come with the stand.

What a strange thing to skimp out on. Looking it up, yeah seems the 2TB and 1TB editions come with it (according to Gamestop) but not the 500GB one.

The side which the stand clips into is full of in-take air holes, I wouldn't do it.

It's 20 bucks for the stand.

At least they didn't skimp on a 4k player.

If you are interested in the 1tb Battlefield edition (the green one) that comes with a stand.

So I got my XBO S hooked up, and immediately having issues.

Popes it in, enabled 4K, everything looks good, it's outputting 4K, etc.

Pop in a UHD Blu Ray, and it reverts to 1080p....

Help?

Have an HU87000 65" Samsung Curved..

Edit: so if I use HDMI3, the Blu Ray plays in 4K, but I lose UHD Color(10bit color). If I use HDMI4, I get 10bit color, but the Blu Ray reverts to 1080p...

As far as I'm aware, some earlier 4K TVs supported HDMI 2.0 but didn't meet the full bandwidth spec, so they couldn't do 10 bit color with HDCP 2.2 on (required for playing back 4K Blu-ray). I am not sure if that is the case with your particular TV, but I remember looking at some 4K sets a year ago and this was common on a lot of them.

So the problem with reverting to 1080p is likely because those ports don't support HDCP 2.2.

Another question. I have an oled lg c6. Can I choose if yes which would it be if I watch a normal bluray 1080p to take care of the upscale , the Xbox or the tv ?

Are there any Canadians here that have used this web site?

https://microsoftconsoletradeca.cexchange.com/online/home/index.rails

Basically, they have a promotion on-going with Microsoft that ends September 30th. You visit a web site, identify the type of Xbox you have, calculate how much it's worth (i.e. mine is worth $220 in trade-in), then print a prepaid shipping label.

After you get the label, you ship the device off to a factory and they appraise it for you. If they determine the console is functioning and isn't missing any cords/accessories, then they'll send you an online redemption code via email that can be used at microsoftstore.ca to buy a console.

My problem is, I haven't shipped my console yet. And I want to use this code to pre-order the Gears of War 4 S console... I used to have it pre-ordered at Best Buy but I cancelled that to take advantage of this deal. But my time line does not look very promising.

I can't ship the device until Saturday. And I'm worried that it will take the appraiser to long to send me my code, and maybe by then the Gears of War 4 S console will be sold out (unlikely) or released already...

Edit: The promotion is detailed here: https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msca/en_CA/cat/Xbox-Trade-In/categoryID.70604700

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
Fuck, I've heard of this issue a few times now. This makes me worried that I preordered a Slim

I have had no issues with my Xbox One S, but all the of goddamn fuckign sudden my controllers don't work. They're on and appear to be connected, but the Xbox will not respond to commands. None of the buttons work.

What in the goddamn fuck is wrong. This is infuriating.

I just did a hard reset and that solved the issue.

No idea what was causing it, but it's fine now.

Yah this is going to be fun for people... yikes.

I'm so happy I didn't buy a 4K TV yet... years and years away.

Can anyone help? I'm due to receive my Xbox One S in a week or so, I own a 4K TV (Sony XBR49X850B), it's not HDR or 10-bit unfortunately due to early adoption! But will the Xbox One S still output 4K via 4K Blu-Ray and will I also benefit from the 4K upscaling in games? Or am I shit out of luck?

I have a 4k tv less HDR and mine upscaled to 4k and the UHD player and netflix app all work as advertrised.

Man early adopters to the S getting shafted this early. That slate Battlefield Bundle looks awesome for $299.

810C owner here. Still outputs and upscales at 4K. I had to set it to 'Auto Detect' signal and select 4K UHD in the Xbox settings.

How good is the Play and Charge kit, how long does a charge last?

Any other small accessories that are useful?
It's great, buy it. It's good to have a wire around just in case. I'm using eneloops now, because after two and a half years, the play and charge battery only lasts about 5 hours. I'm surprised it lasted that long because I use the Xbox One a lot.

Edit: When I bought it new the charge lasted 20+ hours.

guys i need some help. sorry couldn't make a topic but it does involve the xbox one s. got the 2TB version at launch and have had no trouble. today i decided to watch a blu-ray for the first time on it and my tv froze. no picture, couldn't power off,or change inputs. had to unplug tv to get picture back. it did the same thing when i closed the blu-ray app. no my tv is only 2 years old and 1080p but i'm thinking it might be the xbox one since that is the only time it has ever done this.

Got the 1TB model pre-ordered with Amazon, but just got to thinking should I change it for the 500GB and buy a 2TB protable hard drive with it? 500GB Slim + 2TB Seagate Portable 2016 = £312 & 2.5TB of total space. Whereas the Slim 1TB costs £300.

Delete the Blu-Ray app, clear cache reboot, download the app again.

Quick question- I'm moving from the regular Xbox one to an S this week and I'm wondering how to move my off line saves, Fallout 4 to be exact. I don't see a way to check if they are cloud saved or any way to see them on the internal drive on my current Xbox. Do I need to move them to an external drive of some kind or will they just show up on my S when I install Fallout. I don't have a Fallout disc and want to sell my old console as soon as the new one shows up. The other stuff I play like Destiny and Forza save server side (I think) but I have .5 GB worth of Fallout I don't want to lose. Thanks for you your help

funny thing is when i put the blu-ray in the blu-ray app kept giving an error so i deleted it and redownloaded. could the 24hz setting have caused this? my tv has done this once before and i think i had the xbox one s on but not watching a blu-ray. at least i think i had the xbox on when it did it that time.

On Xbox One all save data is automatically synced to the cloud when you exit a game provided you're connected to Live. Same with Play Anywhere PC games. I'm not aware of any games with exceptions to that functionality.

My saves automatically showed up on my S after a quick sync.

Ok so, the white 2GB from Amazon got delayed (again) and it got me curious about the green one that comes with BF1

Are there any IRL pictures of it yet? The grey one i'd love but i don't think it's getting a release here in IT

Any opinions on Xbox One S vs Elite? I'm still on a 1080P and probably won't upgrade until next year (still prefer my Panny plasma for it's motion). Elite is slightly cheaper with some of the deals and has, I'm assuming, the superior controller.

Also, can anyone describe how the IR blaster works? How it's controlled, how you program other devices, etc. I haven't seen much info about it.

OT: I purchased a new Xbox One controller last month, how do I know if its Bluetooth or not?
At the moment only the new White controller has Bluetooth. If your controller is fully white on the front it's the new one. If it has a black bar where the Xbox button is, it's the older controller without Bluetooth.
