Yes it is, don't just come and lie about things you don't have any understanding of. I've actually been very complimentary about the sound profile of the PS5 but it's on my desk 1 foot away from my head and you can hear the low hum of the fan, you can't hear jack shit from the Series S (which used to be placed where my PS5 was).

Did you watch the video? It's not about resolutions at 120fps or with Ray Tracing.

Interesting video, I would have used the 5500XT 8GB version as that's an AMD part with reasonably close specs, pity they didn't do any real benchmarking but it's obvious that you can't get anywhere near building something comparable for £249, when you consider the £50 controller it makes it even more incredible.
Also they didn't talk about size, power draw and noise levels, comparisons should also consider those aspects.

I still think X1X is the best designed console ever, not only the aesthetics are on point, but they packed so much power into such small case. Series S is having a huge advantage in not having an optical drive which takes the most space in pretty much every console, half of it even.

Even the vast amount of low-end gaming PCs simply have a lot more RAM than XSS (heck even the upcoming Steam Deck has 16GB and will get SFS on top). Features like sampler feedback (not to be confused with SFS which is ALSO making its way to PCs, btw, starting with Turing) and other DX12U features like mesh shading capable HW have been sitting inside many PCs since 2018 (two full years ahead of the Series consoles), and these PCs are growing in large numbers each day and are also equipped lots of memory already (way more than XSS), let alone 5 -7 yrs from now.
In 5 years' time, XSS will be at the bottom of the barrel, lowest common denominator for game development just like X1 was (at least X1 didn't have any memory limitations at the time)... In 2018 (5 years after last-gen consoles came out), average gaming PCs were an order of magnitude ahead of the X1 (and PS4 for that matter). 5 years is a long time in tech, especially in the PC world and we all know it moves at a rapid pace every couple of months. I mean we're already seeing XSS miss RT from a first-party studio like id Software due to limited memory (as DF noted) and Remedy explicitly mentioned "hardware limitation" as the reason for not including RT in the Series S version of Control. I'm sorry bro but the memory issue on the S is a harsh reality and it's the reason (along with limited GPU, bandwidth) the S will be the lowest common denominator for the rest of this gen just like the weakest console (X1) was during last-gen... No amount of hoping and wishing will change that.

no it's not. they should've took the disc out the Series X as well. digital is the future. MS has a discless console. Sony has a discless console. sooner or later consoles will abandon discs. it makes no sense having discs anymore and they create an insane amount of waste and take up lots of space.
if i were you i'd abandon physical media now. rip the band aid off now and get it over with cause you'll be forced to give up your discs at some point

I can go physical or digital either way. I have more than a good internet connection. Can't say the same for everyone else in the world though.
