Yup, something is not right with Sigma I think. Dialog is strange whenever one
refers to his appearance. "Ha! Now that's funny. You must've done a lot of drugs to look like that at twenty-two," said Phi. And she called him Grandpa too. Sigma in the artwork and stuff looks kind of...nice looking and not bad at all. So maybe he is some Cradle Pharm shareholder or some shit with an edited memory or a GAULEM with the APB skin! I noticed they don't show his face during escapes like Junpei did either.

The plot thickens!

Well, I was in the second puzzle room
(infirmary)
, and couldn't find the golden file solution, so I looked it up.

Apparently, no one knows how this solution was actually found. Even working backwards, there seems to be no apparent link. Maybe it was hinted at in a later room, and you're meant to come back?

No. All the hints should be in the same room. Anyway, I used a Japanese guide that told me the answer so it's all good.

The guide told me to look at the bed sheet without the patch on it. And then it said to scan with the ADAM. After that it looked like mostly trial and error to find all the letters.

To be continued. I don't know what to think. Clearly there's still so much more, but the credits are rolling, and I got thru the 9 door. Revelations abound, but. . . but. . . It looks like Dio's end?

They are locked segments... in which you need information from one or more of the other paths to continue.

Got my first real ending on branch 3. Kagari likely knows who'se it was.

(HUGE DAMN SPOILERS. REVEAL AT YOUR OWN RISK. Slight spoilers for another branch as well!)
Dio being a member of a cult of cloned humans that all look the same... is not what I expected out of this damn game when I started it, holy shit. I can kinda already guess that he planted the bombs based on Phi asking about a number zero bomb, though Sigma still needs more than that before I can open the locks on the right side. oh well!

Since I did the right path first, I was so sure that when I went to betray Clover, Sigma would recall Dio's backstabbery and try to pin him the moment he got out. On the flipside, Sigma doesn't get the short end of the stick for once if he chooses to get 9 BP, yay.

Also, my first thought when they walked outside was they were on another planet or something, haha. "SO THAT'S WHY THEY WEAR THE SUITS" or something like that.

I need help behind the blue door.

I'm trying to get out of the pressure chamber, but stuck at the door puzzle. To get in, you just connect the rings like this: red-orange, yellow-green, white-black. I don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing differently.

Augh, was not a fan of the GAULEM Bay puzzle.
They really need to make it easier to access the memo with your archive.

Well, I could've used the 3DS notepad...
No, then again, it would've taken the same amount of time.

Some people on the gfaqs board are lamenting corrupt savefiles, I couldn't read much, since every thread contains spoilers for locations and such.
I really hope this isn't a major issue!

After some misc. problem (Amazon couldn't charge my card). They were going to try again later...Status just changed to "shipping soon". Supposed to arrive by the end of next week, but I can wait. Apparently getting the watch too. :)

seems only gamestop carries this game. asked the duder at best buy if it came in and he looked it up on wikipedia. he started browsing release dates by region and said us listings weren't there: 'jp- that's japan. na- not sure what that is'

IIRC Best Buy didn't even have pre-orders, so I guess the only places you can get it are Amazon, GameStop or Aksys's own website.

it is amusing that folks do hate on Gamestop though, when it's a pretty reliable means for the smaller companies to try and distribute product thru. It's just the reality of it for smaller publishers.

Ugh. I have to get the true ending of 999 again. I forgot the entire plot of the first game. Once I finish it I'll pick up VLR. Hopefully it's as good as the first game. *goes to gamefaqs to find the correct path to the true ending*

Which version of VLR is everyone playing in here? I asked before release, but how does the 3DS version compare to the Vita version? I'm mostly curious about controls. The demo's escape sections felt super weird on the Vita.

Without spoiling anything (Yes or No answers would be good) does this game rationalise the multiple endings mechanic? Because that was one of my favourite things about the original 999.

If youre looking @ it controls wise, 3DS outrules it easily with the 2 screens + stylus.

The specific mention of the bracelet's readings of the electrocardiogram is going to mean someone is going to get the bracelet off by "dying", and then being resuscitated by the AED, a la Casino Royale.

OK, that's fantastic news. I loved the way that was explained in 999. Gonna make the wait so much longer, it's times like these when I wish I didn't live in Europe!

I've barely watched Doctor Who...but uh, one of the script writer's a Doctor Who fan?
I didn't see it coming until you're in The Archives and then bam "Allons-y!"

The writing in this game is very fun.

Speculation and spoilers:

So far I've explored the right most segments of the flowchart (choose Cyan, then Betray Alice and then explore both ally and then betray in round two). Damn my game ended fast, but emotionally I kind of expected it. It's weird, because at the second round I was so sure Phi was going to betray me, so I choose Betray. Then she chooses Ally and then I'm like "Of course." Then it's Game Over, FML

And then I skip back to the AB Game for Round Two, I start fast forwarding...and then I see that black and white recollection of Phi chewing me out...and then I got freaked out.
Hooolllly shit.

I lament that I missed out on the opportunity to ally with her then, since I'll never see it. Damn. I didn't trust Phi from the start, but she's starting to seem...I don't know about heroic, but trustworthy, as an ally. However, everyone else besides her and Tenmyoji is difficult to trust. I don't fucking trust K and Luna...Quark, Alice, Dio, Clover I'm iffy about. Dio can't be as harmless as he seems, we already know Alice is in some real heavy shit, Quark and Clover are just sort of time bombs but sharp in their own ways. Looks like Dio set up us the bomb from that split second recollection?

And Sigma...yeah I agree shit's weird with him.

Remember the "plot hint" that's been bounced around for 999?
Where, when you make decisions that do not lead to June being saved, she experiences a fever, representative of the heat from the incinerator?

Well, what's with the screen bugging out every so often in this game?...just some speculation, because it's not a dialogue transition that happens all of the time. I just don't remember the dialogue itself that may be a clue.

Anyway, hopefully there may be a hilariously glorious end like Axe from 999. But if not, amazingly trippy ones will do, and I'd probably prefer them...
