So let me get this straight: some comments on the Internet and people want to remove US help? haha

According to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_foreign_aid (if you have a better source please share it) the countries that receive most US help are strategic "allies" like Afganistan and Israel. If you remove your help is the same as abandoning your foreign policy. In my personal opinion I would say go for it because it would mean stop screwing with the world but there are also several poor countries like Haiti that need that help to survive.

If you can't stand criticism that's ok but punishing weak countries for it is ridiculous.

I'm very educated and I am not embarrassed to be an American. America has done a lot of good for the world, and before anyone cries foul, yes I know it's also done a lot of bad. However that happens with ANY country because countries are ultimately run by humans and guess what? Humans make mistakes, sometimes MAJOR ones and sometimes evil people get power that they should of never had. The self-loathing Americans are as bad as the ones that scream your silly quote.

You misunderstood my point. I don't honestly want the USA to pull it's aid money in the World.

The USA is shit on for so many things, yet the amount of aid it provides various parts of the World who otherwise would be without it, is never talked about or thought about in these what end up being "Fuck the USA" threads.

Good things don't erase the bad. Besides if you read the list you'll see that most of the help goes to support your allies and the puppet governments of countries you have attacked in the past (so it's not charity).

Also USA is not the only country that gives help to others.

Indeed getting to the Olympics is an achievement in itself. It's fair to say that 90% of the people there know based on their performances and form that they aren't going to come away with a medal of any colour, but they are still there to compete because being a selected to compete is an honour.

The US provided material support for a regime which was responsible for torture and murder of civilians while publicly condemning it, because it was strategically beneficial to do so. I'm not taking a side in your argument here, but since you seem quite ignorant of modern history I thought it might be helpful to know why a Chilean would take issue with the way the US hands out aid overseas.
