I know its super unrealistic to expect them model it after the real thing exactly, but having spent a week in the real Seattle Center area the orientation of all the major buildings is throwing me off. Game still looks brilliant though.
Those shots are incredible, The amount of detail being showcased is insane, Great job on the shots people as it made people like me who were on the fence bite the bullet with the game.
It's so hard to fathom that being possible, but it happens every time.
I remember thinking Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was the most amazing looking game released at the time, and that it couldn't possibly get better than that. Then we got Killzone 2. Then we got Uncharted 2. Then we got Uncharted 3, Heavy Rain, and Beyond: Two Souls.
First parties will always be able to push their platform to insane levels. I remember the reveal trailer for The Order causing a lot of posters to claim "Bullshit!" on the possibility of the game actually looking like that reveal trailer. What we've seen of it so far looks amazing, but we're still a good 5 or so months away, if not longer, and I now have no doubt, looking at the actual, released version of inFAMOUS, that The Order is going to look worse than that reveal trailer. And that's still a year one title.
2, 3 years from now, we'll laugh at how weird SS and The Order look. The Last Guardian on the PS4 is going to look absurd
come on, we know it's a PS4 title. It's certainly not showing up on the Vita (maybe), and I'm sure PS3 is out of the running now.

Same thing with the Boston skyline in TLoU. It was disorienting having to in game go the wrong way when in real life a building used as a skyline landmark should have you going the other. Also a few cases where they just took interesting buildings and put them next o each other incorrectly.

Remember how everyone said the Heavy Rain tech demo would be impossible on PS3? Lol. Imagine getting Dark Sorcerer level of gameplay graphics sometime this gen.
why would they take note? i care more about this lost art they the console wars have made us forget about.... no not fps, no not 1080p, actual gameplay

Wow these screenshots are amazing, I'm so pumped! I really really hope this arrives on release day and not the week after, damn Friday releases are so unreliable for me.
I really like this one for whatever reason, the train looks badass:
Just clicking my way through this thread, some nice shots. But it seems like the 'note' that Watch_Dogs needs to 'take' is 'release more screenshots when it's raining/wet'.
Is this topic just about the graphics?
sorry but good open world action games really are not made by graphic. What really matter is how alive the world feels, how much you have to do in it without being repetitve and how much you get motivated to explore every detail of it.
For me open world action games really have to problem of becoming boring very fast because of repetitive elements. The only games that really got me hooked are AC2 and RDR besides GTA:VC
Got Infamous 2 trough PS+ and quitted after about half an hour, so i wouldnt buy Second Son just because it looks nice
