Well I just had to guess what media player he was using and thought iTunes was a safe guess.

Google Music's habit of either not uploading the album art or changing it to something else can be annoying. Also if you delete a track because it glitched up during the upload it can be a pain to reupload it because it assumes that once you've deleted a track you'll never want to upload it again. As my dad says, never assume. But I do enjoy being able to listening to my music collection away from home and hopefully these bugs are ironed out in the future.

CD's man, vintage style. I just rip said CD's to Pats' laptop or stream tunes through soundcloud or YouTube. I know what an ID3 tag is now I looked it up, but I don't know how to edit one into an mp3. I don't even know what file type iTunes uses, can I just use Windows Media Player to convert them? It all seems like a lot of faffing about, lol.

I'm not sure I understand why we need to dropbox ID3 tagged mp3's or whatever anyway, can we not just post YouTube links like civilised individuals?

Well CDs are usually the main reason I edit tags because sometimes the data that it downloads isn't correct or doesn't suit the naming scheme I like i.e. I don't put [DIsc 1] at the end of an album name because I just use the disc number tag and merge them.

iTunes uses whatever you set it to use. Likely uses one of the two Apple formats by default but you can change it to MP3 in the preferences under General > Import Settings. In fact if you change this to MP3 and right click a song there should be a "Create MP3 version" option on the dropdown list if it isn't already MP3.

At worse, share them with someone else and they can deal with the tags. I assume Jed is really referring to the album name tag, compilation tag and album art settings so the mix tape stays together.

Did you never make mixtapes/ Cds back in the day? It was fun making an album and doing the artwork etc. (at least it was to me)



PS. Mercenary kings troupe, can play a bit tonight if you fancy. There's got to be a double jump, right?

Oh yeah totally, I used to love making good old mixtapes, but I literally don't know what I'm doing with this PC stuff. My experience with PC's basically goes so far as porn, YouTube and DOOM. I assume the idea is to compile a playlist and host it somewhere so people can download it right?

I don't even know where to start with this hosting, ID3 tagging malarkey. I might just post some YouTube links instead.

Yup, I was feeling the troupe-ness. And we only failed one mission!

I worked out how to revive teammates btw. You've got to buy adrenaline in the camp at the start. I bought some on one mission, but only succeeded in reviving myself when I fell on some spikes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There's a demo (on the US store anyway). I couldn't play the first one despite seeing much acclaim but I'm curious if it's become a bit easier to play or if I'm doomed to keep falling off my bike.

Ooh thanks for that. Hopefully there'll be one on the UK store too. I think all games on the PSN should have demos.

It's kinda like an old SNES game (Contra?), so yeah it doesn't mess around. We would have been pretty screwed without Dap's beastly gun (but mine was getting pretty sweet too by the end with all the upgrades)

Edit:

I'm only at 16-20% completion on Jed's list. There's still plenty of time yet though (I hope)

Yeah - def reminds me of that kind of game. I was really chuffed with mine until I realised I'd made it have a really slow reload time.
 
Just on a separate note, I must say I am rather disappointed with HMRC 's specimen SAYE rules. To think they encourage companies to use them?! Preposterous.

Vampire Weekend (Modern City), Tegren And Sara (Hearthrob), Phenoix, Daughter (If you Leave).... They're all indie though, so if you're into that stuff...
