I wonder what's the "remotest" anyone has ever remote played. I'm going to (very briefly) be in Singapore next month, so that'd be pretty far if I could get it working from there.

Our bedroom is the furthest I've managed! I did manage to start it while in a Costa but it was unplayable.

Really annoying - my lunchtime hideaway is central library which has whizzy Internet, but both PSN and remote play just won't connect.

But. But. But. Why would you want to play Knack?

... hanging about at work waiting for my boss to come in to do my appraisal. I think it will go well (have seen the universally glowing praise from off the other Heads of Depts and Assistant Headmasters already), but there's still this nagging part of my brain thinking my boss will mention my timekeeping. He seems not to care at all as long as work gets done, but maybe he was holding his tongue waiting for the annual bollocking...? To be fair, I only take the piss in the holidays and when it's very quiet.

Meh, sure it'll be fine.

Famous last words haha

ahhh, went totally fine. Why do I worry so? My lax timekeeping has been commented on - he said it made total sense and said we'd try to work out how I can 'work from home' over the hols.

This is how we lose Jed entirely to granny porn.

He'll become a depraved sexual deviant and end up divorced, penniless and possibly on the register. Once a popular, well educated teaching assistant with a glittering music career ahead of him, his life is squandered leaving him a social pariah eating out of bins and sucking off dogs for Quavers.

RIP in pieces Jedeye Sniv.

Ha! My brain has already connected bored+sexually frustrated, I think I am entirely broken. Perhaps starting the day with a dose and grannies and dogs would be good for my attention span.

Morning everyone.

So nearly there... Anyone doing anything notice for the death and resurrection?

Edit: notice?! NOICE

No plans for Friday to be honest. Heading out Saturday night for a last night out with college friends (one of them is moving away next week). Sunday recovering from Saturday night and spending time with said college friends. No Monday plans yet either.

Selling loads of beads probably. I keep getting plaintive telephone calls from Birmingham/Swindon/Buckingham etc etc to make sure we are going to be open. So yes, we'll be open.

Nice weather too. We get to enjoy the weekend vicariously from our customers.

I wish it was stlll before 2002. Back when Virgin Megastores were still a thing.

The Cork store was huge, back when it existed.

Today I've learned,

shops are open on Good Friday!

HMV is still a thing.

People buy movies.

Those are some great films to be fair, did you get them on VHS? They're probably going to be reissued on DVD soon.

That's a pretty darn good selection.

My thoughts exactly.

I was in the Disney store looking for a gift for my friend's newborn (his name is Harrison - was trying to get something Star Wars related but failed miserably) and they had Frozen in 3D for £17.99. Absolute rip off, I'm sure I can get it cheaper than that....

Talking of films, I still have those two download codes if anyone wants them.

Man Of Steel and Gravity.

Oh, and get Trials Fusion.

Frozen 3D being £17.99 actually doesn't surprise me. Disney films tend to have a higher price tag on 3D stuff. It's £18 on Amazon and Zavvi for the 3D version. Supermarkets would be the best place methinks.

I still need to see Gravity actually.
Extremely subtle way to ask for the download codes.
And if I had a platform that Fusion was on I'd give it a try.

I'm scared to try Trials - I think I will leave it to the pros!

I'm really looking forward to sharing my mixtape with you all though - can't wait to hear yours too (if you are making one).

Son of D, I'll send you the Gravity code in what'sapp. If you want the MoS one too you can have it if no-one else claims it by Monday. Give someone else a fair shot innit.

Remind me, I'll probably forget.

Time Bandits had such a massive effect on me when I first saw it as a young pup. It was the first movie I'd seen that had such a downer of an ending.

Same here, I saw Time Bandits before any Monty Python and love the zany comedy, ending proper messed me up though

I saw How I Live Now last night and it was amazeballs great. It reminded me in a lot of ways of hunger games but it was incredibly gritty and upsetting and really shocked me since I didn't know a lot about it going in other than it's got a girl that all the creepy paedos on GAF like. Probably one of the best films about kids I've seen, and was genuinely disturbing in places.

Late I know, but:

Robin Hood: And you're a robber too. How long have you been a robber?

Strutter: Four foot one, sir.

Robin Hood: Good lord! Jolly good. Four foot one? Well that... that is... a long time, isn't it?

and

Robin Hood: Here we are, madam.
Congratulations. Well done. Congratulations.

[Merry Man hits her]

Robin Hood: Is that absolutely necessary?

Merry Man: icouldusemyheadlike?

Robin Hood: What did he say?

Marion: He said yes, he's afraid it is.

Always tickled me.

Finally got down and watched Frozen...I think Disney have got a new Renaissance in their hands. The short in the extras is pretty good too.

God I hated the
snowman
in Frozen.
How's that a spoiler? He was featured prominently in the advertising as the comic relief.

I'm always careful for spoilers. I knew nothing of the film when I watched it so the snowman was unexpected (in the form of a leading character). Of course, the film's title suggests otherwise.
