leaks pretty much say the 4.7 inch will be a thinner nexus 5

thinking more about the watch, I think the rumors of there being different styles and sizes (and prices) will be true.

I don’t think they’ll try a one size fits all approach. I might be wrong, but that’s my prediction.

Apple has made another major hire, leading industrial designer, Mark Newson. You might remember him from the auction he did with Jony Ive last year where they sold off a red mac Pro amongst other things. Interestingly, he's designed a lot of watches over the years.

that’s right. But I think the watch is an exception. If it’s going to take off beyond techies, it’s gotta be desirable as fashion as much or more than function. And I think more than anything Apple has made, this means some more variation in size and shape as it’ll be a more visible device.

Man, imagine having your loyalty card in passbook already. You use your phone/watch to pay and it automatically associates your loyalty card with the purchase at time.

I would love a bigger iphone but I have a year left on my contract from the 5s I got last year.

Decisions decisions. Do I fork out full retail price? I don't think the Next is a good deal esp since I'm on an indivual pre mobile share plan, so the extra charge for contract phones doesn't affect me. No desire to change carriers either since I'm perfectly happy with AT&T. I guess I'll just end sucking it up and waiting another year :/

If the servers can handle, I don't see why not. Prepare to refresh non-stop. I've managed to get a solid 3 out of 4 iPhones through apple.

One neat trick that works is to use your iPhone/iPad and the Apple Store app. Works really quickly when the servers are down. Try not to spread that or it'll end up broken too :lol

Do that and have a few browsers open with constant refreshing. That should be enough. The later you leave it the greater chance it wont be in stock or you'll end up with a delivery several weeks later.

Photos of the home screen reveal a different icon for Passbook, adding a fourth horizontal stripe to the current stripes showing an airplane, a movie camera, and a coffee cup. This new red stripe appears to include an image of a credit card, likely indicating support for mobile payments through Passbook.

The home screen layout includes the possibility of a sixth row of icons (in addition to the dock at the bottom), one more than on 4-inch iPhones. The horizontal layout remains at four icons, with simply a bit more separation between the icons.

You will have to pre-order when your contract is up.

It's probably fake. They posted more screens including pictures of the box it ships with, the phone on there had iOS7 (no health icon etc.) and looked completely different (different top part + slim bezels on the sides). Most likely a good fake but we'll find out in 3 days anyways.

Doesn't it just bill you for the month you had left? That's how it works for me in Sweden with Tele2. I just order it and they then add the months I had left to my first bill.

Well, it's the unfortunate consequences of having become as big as they have. Harder to keep hardware secrets when you're shipping millions and millions of units for day 1.

Maybe mobile payments is the thing to help that? I use it for plane tickets all the time and have used it for movie/concert tickets and as a Starbucks card before. I've used it more than Newsstand and will probably use it more than the Health app that we're getting.

It really is. Kind of sad too, would be nice to be surprised. But the watch is going to be. Since they haven't really started manufacturing them we will get that nice surprise.

I was probably going to go mid tier anyway so 64 is nice. I manage with the 32 but end up having to delete with the updates. The 64 should be pretty stress free for me.
